 We managed to get around to booking this site after wanting to for a while. Exceeded expectations in every way. We stayed on campervan area, great clean and flat pitches with water point and shared EHU.
Good sized pitches with bushes for privacy. Met at reception by staff who told us about the area and showed us walks on a map before showing us to our pitch.
Lovely site with areas for tents, larger motorhomes and a couple of small chalets, lots of greenery, flowers and modern/very clean facilities.
Showers are spacious with lovely hot water. Wash up area just outside and a laundry room. There is a small shop that does hot breakfast rolls and coffee in high season.
Good waste and recycling area. They are currently on with upgrading WiFi, can be slower at peak times but didn’t bother us.
Very friendly site, ideal for Hadrians Wall and historical sites. We would stay again

Toilet stalls not lit properly.
This is troublesome especially when there is only one urinal.
Push button showers. Aargh! Shower drainage - great idea!
Facilities very clean and well stocked.
Site in a lovely location.

Very pleasant, very clean campsite. The site is truly beautiful.
One drawback: we wanted to have breakfast there, but we didn't see the opening hours.

Camping très agréable, très propre. Le site est vraiment beau.
Un bémol : nous souhaitions prendre le petit déjeuner sur place mais nous n’avons pas vu les horaires.

I would give this site an 11 out of ten if I could, the owners were fantastic and the bays were spacious and private.
The site was quiet and well kept and I would definitely recommend it as a stopover.

A brilliant experience at a beautiful, clean campsite.
The hosts were so helpful, we walked to Hadrians wall, ate at a quaint local pub, had a great sleep.
I feel we will return here😄

Quite simply one of my favourite campsites ever. It's been reviewed so many times not much I can add.
Loved the tiered pitches, from the top tier we had beautiful views. Approx 25 minutes walk to Caw Gap (for those not so able to use the footpath through fields you can walk along the lanes to the wall).
Haltwhistle is 5 minutes drive away - Sainsbury's and a fair High Street.
Back on site concur with preview reviews - it's a brilliant place to stay.
Lovely dog walk just outside the campsite turn left then right on the public footpath.
Just for info the wifi doesn't reach the top tier pitches, warden apologised but it's not a problem for us.
We will be back later in the year for a longer stay.

We stayed on this site to make the most of the planet alignment and we certainly not disappointed by the amazing dark skies.
We stayed on a grass/hand stand pitch, there was ample room on the pitch and a wooden table bench on the grass.
The toilets and shower block was lovely and warm and very clean.
I would certainly book again!
We stayed as a couple with our dog.

A lovely, well cared for site with full shower & toilet facilities. The owner met us at check in and walked to show us the pitch.
The pitch was level, hard standing with EHU.
The toilets and showers were always clean and a plentiful supply of hot water available.
Easy walking distance to Hadrians wall but less so to a pub or village.

We loved the quirky layout of this site, pitches were neither crowded, overlooked, regimental or far from facilities!
Bank holiday weekend and pitches full, however as peaceful as a rainy mid-week stay!
Top score for helpful staff, clean facilities, plentiful hot water and the location Fab! Fab! Fab!
The views from Hadrian's Wall were breathtaking and well worthy of serious contemplation.
We'll undoubtedly be back.

This is a lovely site with access to Hadrians Wall, Vindolanda and Housesteads Roman sites and amazing walks.
The owners are very friendly and will bend over backwards to make your stay enjoyable.
Facilities are excellent.

Beautiful area,
Very friendly helpful owners and all spotlessly clean.
Couldn’t have wished for more.

This is a wonderful campsite.
Very well run with impeccable facilities.
Each pitch has a fabulous view, are very spacious with incredible privacy.
I shall certainly be returning.
So much to do & see in the locality as well!

Brilliant campsite, well organised, amazing views, and dark skies so great for stars.
Toilet and shower facilities were heated and spotless.
The washing up facilities were outdoor so a bit chilly, but it made you wash up quickly!
Tracy (owner) was super friendly and helpful.
Really close to Hadrian's Wall, we walked to Housesteads and got the bus back.
We would definitely stay again

Lovely well kept campsite in a fantastic location.
Owners really friendly and helpful too.
Will definitely be returning.
Would recommend this site, we came with the dog and enjoyed some of the many walks in the area straight from the campsite.
