This is a fantastic campsite with high quality facilities such as hot showers, clean toilets and washing up areas.

The campsites for tents are individual areas with access roads around. There are no set pitches for tents other than the grasses areas in which you can choose where to pitch.

There are multiple hard standing areas for campervan and caravan with electric and water points. The staff are very helpful. There are many attractions to visit nearby such as the showcaves and many walks.

The price for camping at the time is £10 per person per night. The campsite is quiet and peaceful.

We will certainly stay again.

Peaceful location, quiet at night after 10pm even on a weekend!

Good, organised site with clean amenities.

Plenty of variety of sites to pitch and trees for cover to avoid sunny morning heat!

Fantastic stay here. Loved it. So quiet and the scenery is amazing. We stayed over Easter near the stream. It was lovely walking about after all the cave customers had left as the field still has animals in it.

Very quiet and relaxing and friendly and helpful warden. No rubbish and the showers were clean too.

Very reasonably priced and dogs are free.

Shall definitely return.

Fantastic level pitches, each with hook up, water and grey waste point but not great value at £25/night in October! Warden is a lovely man and all the staff at the caves are excellent too.

Each (separate gender) shower block has three showers and wc’s which whilst the site was very quiet wasn't a problem but I can only imagine that earlier in the season it must be ‘queued around the block’.

Tiny dish washing area for three people at a time.

The Gwyn Arms is about a ten minute amble by turning left out of the site. Fabulous home cooked food and the home made chips are lush.

Great site for walking the southern mountains of the Brecon Beacons or visiting the caves.

A true gem. The staff are very helpful, it is in a great position, great toilet block and little else (Tesco is just 12 minutes away at Ystradgynlais SA9 1AD) The price is also good. You can go horse riding from there as well, and the Tafarn-y-Garreg Pub about ten minutes north (the second pub along) is just great.

Definitely worth a shot. I would go back without hesitation. Buy the booklet on aeroplane crash sites in the Brecons then go out and try to find one:)

The site is adjacent to crag y nos caves, just of the main road. Camping area very well maintained flat areas for pitches.

Very modern toilet and shower block. Few midges in area. Pubs about 5 min walk.

Wonderful site. Lots of nooks and crannies to pitch in. Nice facilities. Including a drying room. Wonderful views of the hills with some walks just off site. The showcaves are brilliant, as is the dinosaur park.

Great value for money. One of my all time favourite sites. A staff member even let me use the phone to call home as the mobile matt was down for repair. Brilliant

Stayed here for two nights. Easy access even though roadways are a bit on the narrow side. Flat pitches, hardstanding and all with electric. Three showers and toilets for the men, which were kept clean, even though there were a lot of clientèle.

Short walk to the cave network, £14 adult entrance, this also covers the shire horse entry. All in all a good site and one we will return to.

The Gwyn Arms is a short walk away and we ate there both nights. Good welcome.

Just back from a lovely (if rainy) stay at this campsite.

It is a very laid back campsite and you can choose your own pitch. There are various areas aimed at adults only, families and quiet zones.

The shower blocks are clean and comfortable and staff friendly.

A critique would be that you have to pay for under 3's and there is an electric fence surrounding some areas so not completely child friendly.

A major down fall of this campsite is the midges! They were around all day and I have to say become a real nuisance despite covering ourself in insect repellent. Clearly this is a natural hazard of the beautiful surroundings and out of the control of the owners but those prone to being bitten should probably reconsider!
