Dog Bag is an award winning pop up fabric kennel, designed for frequent use as a dog’s “home from home”; it can be used in the car as a dog crate or outside as a kennel that will provide shelter and shade.

The Dog Bag packs into a small rucksack - small enough to hang inside on a coat hook, or to keep in the car.

When transporting your dog you can clip your Dog Bag pet carrier to the tie down loops in the car boot, or strap it to the car seat using the special seat belts provided. There are loops to allow pegging down when outside, and an optional Open Air Kit can be used with the Dog Bag to give your dog even more shade and protection from the sun and showers

Which Size Should you Choose?

The dog bag is available in four different sizes: Large, Medium, Small and Extra Small (particularly suitable for cats) so there's a Dog Bag for every breed of dog - there's a size guide on their website for more info. The Large, Medium and Small Dog Bag pet carriers are usually fixed into the car boot, but the Medium and Small models are also supplied with seat belts for fixing to the rear seat - especially appropriate for saloon car drivers. The Extra Small model is really only designed for fitting onto a car seat - special seat belts are provided.

Fantastic idea, light weight but spacious, you can take it anywhere, also lets the dog see out so he doesn't feel like he's in a kennel. My dog would love this and I know he's safe and not going to wander off, love it.better than the other canvas ones that are all enclosed and very heavy once there up its not practical to keep taking them down and put up somewhere else also too heavy n bulky to be carrying anyway, I had to get rid of mine my dog didn't like it but I'm sure he would like this one though.

What is the weight of the small dog bag? I've searched their website and it is not there. I've even messaged the company and the answer they gave was not correct.

I have owned one of these in the past, bought from my local Indespension Trailer centre about 10yrs ago. Fine for small breeds, but useless for larger ones like Boxers or Labradors who are capable of knocking it over onto its sides as they move around inside it, and then scratching at the fabric mesh until its snagged and pulled by getting their claws caught up in the polyester Knit type fabric as they try to get out.

Tbh, the best part of this product is the rucksack it comes in, which we used for many years to carry doggy toys, poop scoops and wetwipes whilst out on their walks each day.

We use a Fiamma canvas crate because it fits between the bench seats & we can tie it to the beach legs. It folds flat & into a bag when it's not needed. The height of the Dog Bag would be wasted on our Cocker Spaniel and it looks a bit tippy. The Fiamma one costs quite a bit less too, has side flaps that can roll up for more ventilation like the Dog Bag has.
All in all, interesting idea, may well suit others, but I'm not tempted.
