Fabulous and very quiet. Some occasional road noise, but barely noticeable. Site is one larger paddock and one smaller one. Larger one has large pitches.
You choose yours on arrival. Park on your pitch. Facilities are one block with 3 loos and 3 showers. Pitch is 30 pitches. S
Hower booking whiteboard available to use at busy times. 2 washing up sinks under cover. Also, a toaster, kettle, coffee machine, microwave, large fridge and large freezer. Plus a massive cupboard full of cutlery and crockery if you forget something. Plus an honesty shop full of essentials and treats.
Huge outdoor covered area with loads of cosy chairs and tables in case of rain, right next to services block.
Site is down single track lanes, so may need to reverse backwards if something else is coming. Small vehicles recommended.
5 min drive from mainline train station. Surrounding countryside gorgeous. Easy access to main road for exploring. Owner very friendly. Had two guard-dachsunds and a couple of watchful rescue moggies :-)
We stayed here for 7 nights in May/June 2025. , mid week to mid week.
The site is tucked away down a small lane around 1km from the A12. There is some background traffic noise, but not intrusive.
There were 25 pitches around the edge of a large field, and a further 6 pitches in a small orchard. We chose an orchard plot. The main field was around half full over the weekend, but only two or three pitches were occupied mid week.
The facilities were spotlessley clean, and there was an indoors washing up area with kettle, microwave, and various cooking utensils. The small honesty shop was thoughtfully stocked with many of the things one might have forgotten to pack, including local honey and marmalade.
The covered socialising area next to the facilities block had lots of room, and included a pool table (interestingly sloping table made games challenging!) and outdoors table tennis. Blankets were thoughtfully provided for chilly evenings.
The hosts were very friendly and well informed about the local area, and checked to see if the guests were happy.
There's a village shop and local pub a short walk across the fields from the campsite.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The site was very peaceful and quiet at night, and it was quite lovely to wake up to the dawn chorus.
We had a great stay at Brick Kiln. Check-in was super easy, really friendly host and we appreciated that 7pm was within the normal check-in times so we could travel up after work.
The facilities made it for us, proper toilets and warm showers, mirrors, hairdryers, sinks for washing up, even a kettle! Loads of stuff you can buy too if you need anything.
We were going to a wedding so the great bathroom facilities were much appreciated, even though it's a little unconventional to camp for a wedding! Loads of covered seating, even a pool table and table tennis.
Good sized pitch. And only a 15 minute drive to a lovely Parkrun in the forest, and also 15 mins to Aldeburgh.
We have stayed here many times and love the warm welcome we get. Its a very quiet, basic site, but that's what we like.
There is a well stocked kitchen area, with most of the things you tend to forget available to borrow. Fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee machine and pods available to purchase from the small shop.
There is a covered gazebo available if its a damp or windy, making it ideal for socialising in the evenings. Fire pits and wood also are available.
There showers and the owners have kindly made added a grab rail in one of the cubicles, as they don't have any accesssible factilies as such.
Big level pitch, well maintained campground. Each pitch had its own firepit and kindling and logs were available to buy.
Pretty toilet and shower block that was spotlessly clean, a separate washing up room, where the owner has thoughtfully made up t towel, towel and wash up packs that can be bought for just £1 (the hand towel to be returned).
Another room with kettle, toaster, fridge etc. There was outside seating and a big gazebo. Also an information shed with leaflets, second hand books etc.
There is a lovely pub, The Dock about a 15 minute walk down a good path down the side of some field, also a village shop. There is an auction house and we popped in just to look, which was fun and we actually bid on a few lots and ended up taking home more than we arrived with!
A slightly longer walk (about half hour) to a farm shop and cafe where they serve yummy breakfasts, lunches, cakes etc.
Really lovely campsite will definitely return if in the area. via mobile
We enjoyed our stay very much. It's adults only and was quiet and tranquil though only minutes from the A12.
We chose it for its proximity to the folk festival we were attending at Little Glemham.
Facilities were clean and pleasant.
There were fire pits for every pitch and it was nice to return after our days out and see them glowing on the small, tree-surrounded field.
Toiletries and washing-up liquid were provided and there were many nice personal touches including a book swap and information cabin. The owners were friendly and made us welcome.
I would've given it 10/10 except that there were no electric hook-ups which we prefer and nowhere to re-charge our car.
This is perfect for couples who just need to relax and unwind. No loud music or children to disturb your peace. Even grandparents need a break and Brick kiln delivered.
The little touches that the owners have in place just added to the stay. Use of a microwave or an electric kettle is a bonus.
We will definitely be returning. It is a little gem of a campsite and great value for money. via mobile
