I stayed for one night as solo female walker. The campsite is set on the Three Peaks Walk so was pretty busy.
There was really clear communication and signs everywhere and I was shown around the campsite / explained things after paying (they take card) at the cafe.
I also ordered breakfast butty for the morning (you can get that or full English & tea/coffee). Showers were clean with hot water.
Overall really enjoyed this campsite which is very well run. There was quite a few annoying/loud men who were talking after 11pm (till like 2am) and a pair of 2 guys camped right next to me for no apparent reason, but that wasn't a fault of the campsite owners.

This site was recommended on the UKCampsites newsletter, I'm very glad it was!
£10ppn is a bargain these days, certainly the cheapest I've had for a couple years. It doesn't skimp on the facilities either as there are 2 good sized unisex showers and 2 unisex toilets. Additional toilets are available in the barn when it is open. I'd only say it would be useful to have another hand wash basin outside the toilet/shower room but that's not a reason to avoid.
No cars on the field, there is a wheelbarrow by the Barn to borrow if you like. The field is flat at the top and bottom, with a steep slope in between. I was at the top, just behind the wall, great view! It was rocky underground where I was, bring good pegs.
The barn does food/drinks, but times vary so check on arrival. It's very popular with walkers so if you're just hanging out it's good for a chat.
Something I'd like to see more of at other sites are charging lockers, as I had my eBike it was a £1 for locker and charged my battery overnight. Very useful!
I'll be visiting again for a longer stay, plenty to do locally. The pub at the entrance doesn't do food anymore but is open for drinks and a rest as you arrive back at the site at the end of the day.

With a forecast on cloudless sky and 21 degrees time to get the tent out for a quick trip. Choose this site based on reviews and agree with everything said.
Well located, small site, pitch where ever you want - we choose the lower area as upper area was busy with Duke of Edinburgh walkers and campers.
Toilet shower and washing up area. If you are a family with children the two showers are both very large rooms so no problem using them as a family.
The barn gets very busy during the day as it is on the Three Peaks route, lots of tired walkers taking refreshment. We did the lower slopes of Ingleborough, but it was so busy on the final staircase we decided it wasn't worth the hassle. We saw mountain rescue twice during the day.
Old Hill Inn is a short walk and was open. A basic Dales pub, but handy for a beer after a long walk.
For what we needed it was ideal. Highly recommended and we shall return.

The campsite is in a perfect location for the Yorkshire Three Peaks and the views are wonderful.
The hosts are welcoming and the facilities are excellent with lovely hot showers.
The barn with vending machines and information boards is really useful on a damp evening!
We camped at the bottom of the hill which provided a nice warm up each day for our walks from the site!
I would highly recommend this site and am sure we will be back!

Our caravan got cancelled so purchased a tent. Best thing to ever happen. Came a single parent with my young son of 5.
Amazing absolute stunning setting. Wow I’ve found a hidden gem. I’m staying back here in three weeks for a solo camp to do the three peaks. The family are absolutely amazing and it’s just perfect.
I’ve had the best two night ever relaxed and comfortable. So kind and helpful is the lady and gent. Amazing. They deserve all the tips they can get tip them via the tip box.
Clean tidy. A lot of hikers call in to use the toilets and I think they should be charged as it’s cost them. So please tip them.

Very good campsite with all amenities you'll need. Hot shower, clean all-round, wi-fi in allocated area, peace and quiet,
Perfect spot for a base camp when doing Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge.
Happy with the stay, most likely we'll come back at some point in the future.
Two tiny minuses that didn't impact us that much but worth mentioning - it's uneven ground for a tent, plus car cannot stay next to the tent so need to walk to move stuff from car to tent. It is outlined in the site description.
Many thanks

Nice peaceful site, lovely location.
Somewhere to shelter in bad weather.
A riverbed to explore that was dry when we were there.
Good loo block.
In July there were midges in the evening and early morning.
Pack light, it can be a long walk inc a steep slope from car to tent if the upper part of the site is full.
Perfect for backpacking.
