What a lovely site. Actually stayed here twice this year. Once as just the two of us, and again with another couple.
The site is set in and around a small woods with pitches varying in size depending on your needs on different levels.
The first time we stayed we were nestled in the woods on top of little hill on a flat area that came with its own firepit and two metal chairs. (A really nice touch) the view from our little spot looked out onto one of the few large ponds that dot the site.
Stan met us on arrival and showed us to our pitch, we bought some firewood from him that was in the back of his pickup which was a great price of £5 bag too. He's a really nice bloke and made us feel very welcome.
The facilities on site are dotted around, everything is clean and the showers are free and excellent, really hot water, great pressure and plenty of room to get changed.
Some pitches are designed for people with dogs. Completely fenced in so you can let your dog roam free around your pitch. There's also a paddock on the outskirts of the woods for dogs too.
The second time we came was with another couple and as we wanted to be pitched near each other so we ended up on the outside of the woods next to a duck pond with views out across the fields and the surrounding hills.
We all really enjoyed our stay here, each pitch gives you a different camping experience. Its a chilled place and the perfect place to have as a base camp to go and explore the lake district.
We will be definitely staying here again. Hopefully next time I'll get to see the stars.

Another good stay at the site, the weather which was wet and windy did not spoil the stay.
Having a pitch in the woods helps with sheltering from the wind though not the rain!
Stan helpful as ever, and they answered a few questions on email promptly before we arrived.
Will stay again.

Really secluded pitches out in the woods, you feel like you're on your own. It was never clear to us how many other people were even there.
We found it really easily even without sat nav.
Toilets and showers etc are squeaky clean and having a bin on your pitch that is emptied daily is really nice.
We were up in the trees, it was great but glad we had a rain cover because there's a lot of sap that falls from them. The ground was really soft, although getting pegs in was sometimes tricky with the tree roots - no big deal really. There was a gentle slope on the pitch but it was manageable.
At our pitch there was a fair bit of road noise from the big dual carriageway nearby.
But I would 100% visit again it's a wonderful place. The surrounding area is lovely and it's dead easy to get up to the lakes or down to the sea.

Booked a night at Noble Wood. Upon arrival we rang Stan the owner who then came and showed us to our pitch.
Pitches are individual so you have more privacy than on most sites. We were close to the sanitary facilities. As were only there one night we didn't use the showers so can't comment on those but everything else was fine.
I'm not sure how big the site is in total as pitches are spread out amongst the trees.
You can have a fire and Stan will deliver firewood to your pitch if you order it before 6pm. Unfortunately due to the 'summery' weather the rain kept putting it out whenever we had to run for cover. We also discovered that our tent was less than watertight!
There's a dog walking field that's fenced off.
Noble Wood has its own character, I've not been on a site quite like it in over 30 years camping. We would certainly go again.

Great site, easy to book. 1st ever visit, hopefully not our last.
Good sized pitches. Toilets, showers, drinking water.
Site clean & tidy. Each pitch had it's own dustbin. Free fire pits.
If you like peace & quiet & nature, we recommend Noble Wood.

Wanted a quieter site and this one ticks the boxes. All pitches are allocated and there's large gaps between so plenty of privacy. The facilities are excellent and well spaced out around the site. Each pitch has an electric hookup if needed, and its own bin (emptied daily).
Firepits/logs available, no under 16s allowed and everyone we spoke to there seemed to be wanting a quieter stay which helps with the noise levels.
The pitch we had was very large, and also comes with a table/chairs which is useful.
Owner is very helpful whilst there, and just call him shortly before arrival and he'll meet you to escort you to the pitch.
Prices are also very good for the facilities/site offered.

Loved it. In my book one of the best solitary woodlands camp sites in the UK.
The woodlands, the birdlife, the quiet tranquillity were the best features for me.
Comfortable clean bathrooms.
Electric hookup available.
Dogs allowed. (You don't see your nearest neighbour) Children not allowed. Likely a safety topic. Many open dams.
Helpful friendly camp manager.
