 Loved it. In my book one of the best solitary woodlands camp sites in the UK.
The woodlands, the birdlife, the quiet tranquillity were the best features for me.
Comfortable clean bathrooms.
Electric hookup available.
Dogs allowed. (You don't see your nearest neighbour) Children not allowed. Likely a safety topic. Many open dams.
Helpful friendly camp manager.

Enjoyed the stay. Very quiet and a great meal at the Royal Oak at top side of Lindale about 30 mins walk away.
It was wet so we actually drove both times but what a cracking meal!
The dog area is a great idea for the dogs to run around but a seating bench to relax and watch/ chuck a ball about would be nice touch!

Really loved how it all set out
Showers and toilet top notch and never far away and Stan was always there to help if needed whether it for pegs, fire pit or wood

An absolute unique site all pitches individually set out within the woodland most with AstroTurf and dust bin.
For ;- Very handy for touring local area. A dream of a pitch overlooking one of the lakes, Firepit, Table and two chairs provided on each pitch no pitch overlooks another. Some have their own Portaloo.
Against;- If you like a perfect laid out site with all the comforts, this is not for you. Can be a drag for water (However the owner is working to supply each pitch with its own tap) Toilets and showers are in converted shipping containers, Shower water takes care to adjust (again owner stated he is working on improving it) all very very clean.
The owner certainly is a character and very pleasant and most helpful at all times.
We really enjoyed the whole experience and would visit again

This site is just perfect. It’s different and quirky.
Your pitch feels special and individual not like normal sites where you are stacked in a field.
The showers are amazing. Stan and family really know how to run a site.
It’s in an absolute stunning location. We will be back x

We had a fantastic pitch (#7)at the top of a small hill in amongst the trees. We were nice and secluded within easy walking distance to the facilities. Visited daily by moorhens and some very friendly robins.
Easy cycling distance to Grange-over-sands and a short drive to Kendal and Windermere for days out.
The owners were easy to contact any time on the phone and were around several times a day if you needed anything.
Luckily we had heavy duty pegs as normal pegs would not have been any good on the hard standing.
Also not really anywhere within walking distance for a meal out, but we sort of knew this before booking.

Despite struggling to get a tent peg in the ground on the top field we eventually managed.
So glad we did too because what a treasure this place is. Beautiful place and fantastic walks too.
Stan the owner is a great bloke and always knocking about.
Wish we'd stayed for our remaining 2 nights that we'd booked over in Wigglesworth because that turned into a disaster and had to go home.
Me and the dog will be back. Soon. Just be aware that its a little "up and down" to get in the site. Low vehicles may struggle a bit.

I have just spent 2 wonderful nights here surrounded by beautiful forests, ponds and wildlife.
Stan and Lynne are great owners and very helpful and accommodating.
The pitches are all different and well spaced out and the facilities and loos are spotless!
The enclosed dog field is a great touch.
I cannot rate Noble Wood enough, it really is magical.
You will not be disappointed and will definitely not want to leave 10/10 ☺️
