Just managed to squeeze in a short stay before this site closes forever. It is a tragedy that this site has gone and I think the club could have fought harder to keep it.
It is probably one of the best sites the club had.
I imagine the rest of that part of the dock will gradually disappear under blocks of flats and huge amounts of history destroyed.
Very sad day

Still our favourite CAMC site. Stayed LOTS of times and never tire of it, whatever time of year we stay.
Still sad it's closing eventually but will continue to stay as often as we can, each and every reprieve it gets.
Clean and tidy site, looked after by the friendly wardens. Yes, the facilities are tired but always warm and clean.
Bristol is a wonderful city, so vibrant and diverse, we love it.
There are so many walks straight from the site, into the city, to Clifton, Bedminster, Hotwells, Redcliffe, etc. , etc.
Pub next door (Cottage Inn) always packed - didn't use this time as we spent time in the city.
We hit the jackpot with the weather (heatwave - IF you like that sort of thing!) and enjoyed evening walks along the waterfront, just outside this wonderful site.
Our only hope is that one day the CAMC will buy the site from the council, but that's being VERY optimistic!

Have probably had our last stay and this wonderfully situated site in Bristol.
Although extended to June, we will in all probability not be back.
It has been a fixture of our touring calendar for 5 years, with its walks, cycle routes, pubs, cafe's and shopping and we will miss it.
The wardens have done an excellent job in keeping things going and keeping the site and facilities clean.
To be honest, it does need a makeover for its pitches and facilities but this this will never happen now and its a pity, it truly has been a gem in the clubs portfolio.
Thankyou and we will miss you.

Exe Valley Caravan Site - Exmoor
This award winning Adults Only campsite has a working 17th century watermill in a peaceful wooded valley within the Exmoor National Park. Grass and hardstanding pitches, all set beside the River Exe or the sparkling mill stream, with electric, water, drainage, and TV hook-ups. A leisurely stroll up to a weir, and an area where dogs may run free and splash in the river.
Facilities include the beautiful dog walk, free wifi, fishing, modern toilet and shower block, dog wash, working watermill (tours on most Sunday mornings), salmon pass on the weir, shop, bus service, and excellent pubs in the locality. The site has beautiful views, an abundance of wildlife and many footpaths leading directly to the Exmoor woodlands and rivers. Find out more here

Our latest stay at this brilliant location has been great.
The facilities are ok but always spotless looked after by lovely staff and the pitches are good and mostly flat.
Wi-Fi is good and TV signal is a little intermittent.
However, the jewel in the this sites crown is is location to pubs, restaurants, the docks, shopping and some fantastic buildings with a great history.
Have booked to come back in April which will hopefully come to fruition. Have no doubt, if you have an opportunity to visit, take it.
It may need modernising, it may soon be shutting but its location supersedes any deficiencies it has.

Our favourite CAMC site bar none!
An oasis in a stunning city. Easy to get to (follow directions from CAMC). It's in the Bristol clean air zone but we were exempt (check before you book!).
Wardens are fantastic (thank you Lindsey for checking on our travel due to snow in Cornwall).
Facilities are dated but very clean and the showers were very hot and powerful.
Lovely flat hard-standings, wherever you are pitched.
We just love walking out to the waterside from the back gate. Pub next door (didn't use this time).
Easy walk into a fantastic, vibrant city with so much to see and do.
This was our 9th or 10 visit (easily) to Baltic Wharf, but possibly our last if it really does close in February? We are very sad about it.
Another reprieve would be wonderful (fingers crossed here!).

Great location. Friendly staff. Secure and sheltered.
All the facilities I needed and some extra ones I might need another day.
I needed a warm shower, power, a flat parkup on grass and quiet after ten pm.
Local knowledge provided by reception also really useful for a fun solo trip.
Enjoyed Brunel's museum being so close.
This site has the feeling of a long established site with well honed and slick processes that ensure everything works and issues are resolved quickly.

This is my favourite city caravan site, in my favourite city. The sword of Damocles hangs over it, as the extremely desirable waterfront position is always imminently going to be built on; but whilst Baltic Wharf survives, it is a joy.
Yes, the shower blocks may be a bit eighties in terms of decor, and some of the hard standings a bit severe; but the locality and vibe cannot be beaten.
Loads of hot water; lovely touches like the ‘pinch an inch’ herb garden and the talking bench; the beautiful mature trees.
You really open the gate onto the most amazing view of Bristol; and yet the campsite remains stately and calm.
I hope the planning permission is tied up in red tape forever.
