Had 3 nights May bank hol. Only 1 field for tourers the other looked nearly all seasonals. 20min walk into Ellesmere lovely with pubs shops etc. Site is nicely laid out in a circle so plenty of green infront of the caravan.

Do not like the terrace types at all. Communication wasn't the best. Voicemail was always full so it was emails. Robin was pleasant and laid back.

Small toilets block nice 1 shower was dodgy though out of the two. Another shower block in the other field. The pin code leaving the site is a pain you have to get out of your car everytime.

If travelling from Oswestry careful because the site sign with an arrow directs you to turn but it actually says NEXT left in small writing. We took the turn because you really only see the arrow direction. This is a narrow lane for approx 75rds. The actual 2nd left is a better option.

Only charged £5 for a late checkout which was reasonable.

Enjoyable stay and would recommend

Excellent well laid out Farm site, with the best spacing, between pitches, which had water and EHC available on all pitches.

Two Elsan chemical wc points, and grey water disposal, along with doggy shower wash points and recycle bins available. The two toilet blocks were pristine and well kept.

Fantastic views, excellent hosts, very welcoming and lots of info on eating pubs and Ellesmere shops.

The fishing pond had lots of smallish roach, the biggest fish I caught in the week was a 3/4lb skimmer, although told by regulars that there were some big fish in there. ?

Excellent access via two short lanes.

Well placed for LLangollan, Shrewsbury, Chirk, Betsy-Coed.

Lovely 5 star site, well worth the visit. Thanks Robin

Stayed at Newnes over the Easter weekend.

The site was pretty much full but the pitches decent sizes so never felt crowded.

We stayed on a grass pitch in field 1 and were very pleased with our choice.

It was level and the grass well kept.

The showers and toilets were excellent with plenty of hot water and no queuing.

It was a good 15 minute walk into town where there are lovely walks along the canal or round the meres.

A large dog field was great to exercise your dogs.

All in all we were very happy with our choice and definitely recommend.

Lovely well kept site. Stayed in the first field, probably had the best pitch.

Incline to reach the first field, not too challenging though.

Toilets and showers were immaculate.

Very peaceful.

Robin is a great bloke.

Plenty to do in the area but at a cars distance.

Nice walk around the mere.

Had 2 horses for company in the next field.

Will be going back.

Our first trip in our newly purchased motorhome, we chose an adult only site.

Robin greeted us when we arrived on-site. Site is beautifully kept with stunning views from our pitch in field 3.

We had a few teething troubles with our motorhome which Robin very kindly assisted us with.

Toilets/ showers/ washing up area all spotlessly clean. I need a decent shower to be a happy camper and this certainly didn’t disappoint.

Lovely walk across a field for access to Ellesmere, which has shops, cafes and walks around the Mere and along the canal.

We recommend the Red Lion for food and Martha & Mabel for coffee & cake.

We only live 35 minutes away but will definitely return.

A lovely quiet site with pretty views over fields and hills.

Excellent toilet and washing facilities - we didn't use the showers as only one night's stay.

Friendly and helpful staff - when the van battery went down overnight they were very happy to jump start us on our way.

Thoroughly recommended.

 Peaceful, lovely views

15 min walk into town, with shops, pubs and eateries

Facilities spotlessly clean

Unfortunately we booked a hard standing pitch, which I double confirmed, put on a grass pitch on arrival !

Excellent adult campsite in amazing part of the world. Robin was extremely helpful.

Shower block was clean and plenty of hot water.

Lots to do I the area and a short walk to Ellesmere is definitely worth a visit.

Highly recommend.
