 Amazing stay, lovely riverside location.
Hosts were very friendly and explained the site rules.
Mostly space for tents, but a few small campervan spots.

Great site, fantastic location next to river,
Good facilities and great to have the free range hens roaming around the tent on our stay.

Really lovely campsite; flat grassy paddock next to the river, clean and very well thought out shower and kitchen blocks; all sorts of other features that were just really considered, without making the campsite overdone.
It was all just right and we really enjoyed our stay.
The only reason I can't give it 100% is the very small amount of road noise.

This is a lovely little site. Nestled between the tress and the river, it's quiet, relaxed and and enjoyable. We stayed two nights to do some hiking in the Brecons.
Good facilities which are clean and well kept. No younger children makes for a quieter site too :D. The customer service is excellent. We had originally booked in 2024 but had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. Susie was great about that and we were able to go the following year instead.
Great for hiking, walking and cycling in the Brecons and beyond. Local facilities are good too.

Used the campsite when visiting Brecon Jazz festival.
Very well located within 15min walk to the town centre and all amenities where adequate.
Better information could have been given on arrival as we camped in the wrong place and no mention of use of a fridge and freezer.

Absolutely fantastic time.
Highly recommend, 15 minutes walk to brecon town. Flat walk.
Campsite, absolutely beautiful, showers toilets all clean. Owners lovely people, would do anything for you.
We enjoyed that much. We are hoping to book again this month.

One of the best campsites we've stayed on.
Beautifully situated by a river, and lovely and quiet, just what we like.
Only a short walk to Brecons, a short drive to the Beacons, and with a woodland sculpture train on the other side of the river.

Nicely laid out site without the usual clutter of motothomes and caravans, but with enough basic amenities.
Great local walks (almost) direct from the site.
Easy stroll into town for shopping and pubs.
The road is noisy though, I thought it would be a minor lane but seems to be a popular route into town.

Lovely campsite, was quiet when we got there and the owners are on hand to get you booked in and to sell you firewood.
Chickens run free, the river is close by and it's a barely 10 minute walk into Brecon Town.
Toilets and showers are clean and everything is very quaint and charming.
We paid for 2 nights as it was the high season and a weekend. But that's fair enough.

This was a repeat visit to one of my favourite sites and another lovely stay.
Peaceful site, immaculately clean facilities, beautifully equipped and lovely hosts.

There was nothing to dislike about this campsite, it is absolutely beautiful and has excellent facilities. It’s incredibly peaceful and quiet, and the owners, Susie and Noel, were so friendly and welcoming.
Set on an old farm, the campsite is full of character with lots of thoughtful little touches. The camping field sits beside a river and woodland, creating a tranquil setting that’s perfect for relaxing.
You get plenty of phone service here so no need to worry about that.
A family of red kites nests in the treeline overlooking the campsite, and it was incredible to watch them soaring overhead and hear their distinctive calls. It was a real highlight of our stay and added to the peaceful atmosphere of the campsite.
There is a cosy cabin with a fridge and freezer, books, maps, and charging points for phones and other devices. Fire pits are provided, so there’s no need to bring your own, and logs are available to buy from the owners for just £5 a bag, which is great value.
The facilities are excellent, with 2 clean, well maintained showers and 3 toilets. There’s also a separate washing up cabin with drinking water and a small seating area.
One of our favourite touches was the free-roaming chickens, which were lovely to watch and really added to the charm of the campsite.
The location is fantastic too, it’s only around a 10 minute walk into the centre of Brecon town, making it an ideal base for exploring the town and the surrounding area. It’s also close to some of the best local walks, including Talybont Forest and Pen y Fan.
We booked Priory Mill at the last minute after deciding not to stay at another campsite we’d originally chosen, and we’re so glad we did. It turned out to be the perfect choice, and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay.
The value for money is fantastic at £12pp per night.
The showers cost just 50p for 4 minutes and were lovely and warm – perfect after a long day of walking. Just remember to bring some 50p coins!
I would highly recommend Priory Mill Campsite and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, by far my favourite campsite I’ve ever stayed at.

The camp owners were very welcoming and responsive over email.
The campsite itself is beautifully quiet and next to the river where you can sit and watch the bats feeding over the water as the sun goes down.
You do have to pay extra for the shower, which I didn't realise and didn't have the 50p needed. I then read the document as saying 50p for a hot shower so thought it was ok as I was happy to have a cold shower, but unfortunately the water doesn't run at all without a 50 pence piece.
I loved the little touches of wood log seating, a book exchange and a small clean area to sit and read under a shelter and clean your pots and plates etc.
Lovely little hidden campsite overall :)

Peaceful and lovely location next to river with small waterfall,
Separate parking,
Grass neatly cut,
Facilities very clean,
Price I would say low,
Owners helpful and calm.

Only attempt an approach to the entrance from the town centre. Not from the A470 as I did on my motorcycle. Did a go around.
You will then leave town. Go past all the houses. And come to a left hand bend. You are now on final approach into a very uneven rocky downhill entrance. I switched off my engine and coasted down to meet a 180 degree left turn over cobble stones. Now I really am sweating!
The owner looked out and knew that I had booked. Great conversation with common ground. Paid my fee in GBP cash.
"Park with the cars. Then walk down to set up your tent". Toilets and showers are few as are the 2 sinks for fresh water and washing up.
The site is very peaceful beside a small river. And is only a 10 minute stroll into Brecon.
Having spoken to a few campers they all welcomed its simplicity, peace and a means to share each others limited resources.
I will return with my wife and a car next time!
