An absolutely gorgeous campsite, well run, immaculately clean and perfectly set out. Peaceful as adults only and everyone was really friendly.
The Vineyard next door was a great recommendation from Julie, great wine, great pizzas and beautiful sunset views.
We booked in for 4 nights but actually only stayed 2 nights due to our Campervan breaking down whilst on a day out to 100 Acre Woods and having to be towed home by the AA.
I would highly recommend Idle Hours, Julie was so friendly and helpful, her husband even lent us some tools to try to fix our Campervan issues but to no avail.
I will definitely return to spend some more quality time and explore the area more.

Site itself is clean, well maintained and relatively easy to find. There is an incline on part of the site so if you get an incline lurch you’ll need to manage it, other than that the site had some beautiful views.
Julie etc are very welcoming and helpful. There is a social feel to the site so everyone is friendly and respectful,
Facilities are simple but they work very well. Toilets are clean and the shower is hot.
I’ve stayed here twice now and would recommend for a relaxing get away,

I went here with a friend to test out using my tent without EHU for the first time.
The site was well run and the toilets/showers were very clean. I couldn't fault the running of the place but I couldn't pitch my tent to take advantage of the sunset due to it being on a slope.
What I didn't expect however, was to hear the aircraft on approach to Gatwick at the crack of dawn. For that reason I wouldn't stay here again (I hear enough of aircraft, living near Heathrow)

A lovely friendly site, peaceful even though busy over the august bank holiday.
Beautiful views, with good facilities (the shower is ace, didn’t want to get out! )
Highly recommend 😊

Liked: Absolutely perfect campsite for a relaxing peaceful break, the fishing lake was beautiful, wasn't there for the fishing so can't comment on that. Actual campsite was pretty much an L shape so not just a big square field all over looking each other which felt lovely and private and the pitches were a good size, plenty of room for my 5 x 4m touareg tent, gazebo and car, also adults only so lovely and quiet.
Facilities were more than adequate, only 1 shower as the other was broken but no queuing and it was fixed quickly anyway. Place was spotlessly clean too.
Fire pits were free to borrow and logs and kindling were for sale. Big Tesco just a 5 minute drive away and plenty of restaurants etc in Crowborough main town.
There's a vineyard next to the campsite but didn't have time to visit unfortunately. I'm looking to return already and taking my dog as it's super dog friendly.
Owners were so friendly and it was a privilege to share their beautiful campsite, their passion for the place shines through. I stay in a lot of sites and this is my favourite by far!
Disliked: Didn't bother me but so others know the 2 showers are in portaloos, worked just fine though great water pressure and temperature

This was a lovely site with a relatively small number of pitches though full for the jubilee weekend.
Great welcome and facilities were good. Didn’t queue once for showers and the water was beautifully hot.
Enjoyed a campfire and fresh eggs on site.

Lovely quiet site with immaculate grass and hardstanding pitches.
Views across the South Downs with Mares, foals and sheep as neighbours.
Owners were very helpful especially when I got stuck on a lip in the gravel!
Fresh eggs available and lots of lovely walks. No EHU.

Lovely campsite very peaceful and tranquil.
Two ponds for fishing or just sitting and relaxing on one of the many benches or strolling with your dog, the site is very clean and well maintained toilets are clean and fresh I didn't use the shower.
Can't really think of anything I disliked if I had to dislke something it would be that we would have liked a bit more information about local amenities when we were leaving we noticed fresh eggs being sold at the gate as you drive in we would have loved to have had some for our breakfast if we knew about these.
