A bit run down, grass needs cutting. Hard standings need weeding. Shower block needs some work but the showers are good, nice pressure and hot.

On arrival a chap came and opened the gate then disappeared, no information on where everything was etc including wi fi passcode- no instruction within the camp site either. I phoned using number given for this information, this call was never returned despite me leaving a message.

The hard standing with EHU were near the road, but the traffic noise was not too bad. The campsite got busier at the weekend, seemed to be predominantly by anglers.

There are a few caravans in different states of repair which appeared to be used by people living in them

I needed a campsite close to the skydiving centre in Netheravon. The Woodbridge Inn was close enough so I could get to the base on time in the morning.

So far, so ordinary. My day got better and better at the end of my four hour drive! Checked in and warmly greeted, and directed to the most serene pitch next to the delightful river.

The amenities were very clean and pleasant to use. Dinner was delicious and the beer good.

Very attentive but inobtrusive service from all the staff. I felt welcome.

I'll be returning when I can.

Lovely night at this little gem of a site.

Warm friendly pub, good facilities and very reasonable cost.

Lovely countryside walks out from the site.

Would definitely hope to return.

Close to drive out to Pewsey, Devizes and Marlborough.

We had a very pleasant spot by the river which didn't give me any problems getting up the hill on wet grass as I feared might be the case.

The pub, (closed mondays), was very pleasant, with good beer, & although not yet able to offer a full menu, could do basic pub food.

The facilities were basic, but perfectly adequate although they might need more when busy.

Buses run regularly to Swindon & Salisbury from outside the pub.

Altogether, a very enjoyable stop with very nice people.

Popular Choice in this Area

Cheddar Mendip Heights Club Site

Set in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - the Mendip Hills. There are 90 grass and hardstanding pitches some with hookup, for tents, caravans and motorhomes. The well laid out site has excellent shower and toilet facilities, including a family room, plus a laundry room and a well-stocked licensed shop selling local produce. Non members are welcome to book!

You can walk to the village of Priddy where you`ll find a popular pub serving food and the Priddy Good Farm Shop, selling a range of locally produced food. There are many attractions in this area of Somerset and the south west including Bath and Weston-super-Mare, and the site is ideally located, midway between Cheddar Gorge and Wells.  We have been advised that this pub is currently closed, and is not taking bookings for camping. They are seeking new tenants and it should hopefully reopen later this year.

If you know that this situation has changed in the future, please could you let us know. Many thanks

 Brilliant site

Very clean toilets, and a very friendly pub, chatting to the locals, and had an evening meal,

Excellent value for money and will go back again when in the area.

Good luck, as pubs struggle these days, but they work at it and they are very successful. Good for you

Nice little site at the back of the pub.

Great for dogs 🐕 nice walks near by. Good facilities for the money.

We didn't use the pub unfortunately it was closed the times we wanted to go.

Perfect for a few nights before we moved onto our next site.

We stopped here to visit longleat which is 40mins down the road.

 What a lovely little site.

Arrived and went into pub to pay for our pitch, was told to pitch wherever I wanted.

What a breath of fresh air instead of being told where to pitch. ?

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
