 Great campsite. It was our first time at Fen Farm and it won't be the last.
Good location and clean facilities.
Shops within few minutes drive if you need supplies.
Lots of space and friendly wardens.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite the moody weather.

I absolutely loved the old fashioned yet immaculately clean site.
It was peaceful yet had enough local if you wanted more to do.

We had a great time at this campsite.
The the toilet and shower facilities were exceptionally clean and we also used the family bathroom by getting a key from reception for £15 which was then returned when we returned the key. This was so useful when travelling with a 2 and 4 year old.
It is a simple campsite with a playground and not much else but there is plenty of open space and large pitches. The wardens were so friendly and helpful and the beach a short 5 minute walk away.
The pub was a few minutes walk too although definitely book this in advance.
We also drove 10 minutes to West Mersea where there is a larger beach and coffee shops and a jetty where you can do crabbing.

Nice peaceful site good clean facilities, great dog walks with well cut grass, and a lovely enclosed field to,

We can't wait to return - in fact, on the way home we looked to re-book for August but it's fully booked and now we know why.
Fen Farm is a well run, calm campsite. The evenings were really quiet and the tents/caravans were very well spaced out.
The washroom facilities were very clean and we didn't have to queue, even though the campsite was full.

Spacious, level grassy pitches (so different from some sites where you feel you are in a car park). Great communication from office and we found all the staff to be helpful and efficient.
Site is well maintained- grass cut, litter picked up, shower/toilet block and washing up area kept clean (lots of hot water).
Great play area (no children in our party but we could see and hear their enjoyment- not intrusive as play area in one corner of site). WiFi was expensive but worked well.
Easy walk to ‘beach’ and when tide was in it felt like the seaside. Walked to Maria’s Vintage Tearoom - about 45mins - lovely home cooked lunch (loads of choices), reasonably priced and great young staff.
Thanks to all for making our trip to Mersea Island so enjoyable.

We took our three year old granddaughter out for 1 nights camping, her first night away from mum and dad. arrived at the camp site, very tidy well and maintained
The wardens and office staff very helpful in getting our pitch for us plus a cable for electric. ,
The tent was new took over a hour to get the tent up with much help from the granddaughter,
The toilet block was very clean and tidy and the whole site peaceful, only draw back was no internet for the mobiles but one day without them didn’t hurt.
Granddaughter was very happy with the swings and slide plus playing with the other children did not want to leave
So In all we enjoyed our stay at fen farm east mersea.
Go again yes.
Cost ok for the peak season 34pounds one night.
There was a shop next door to the camp site.

Tried to book in with our motorhome only to be told they were fully booked
So luckily our friends put us up in their awning
So was a tad annoying to see 2 empty pitches directly opposite that were empty for the duration of our stay
But the site is very clean and in a good location. We would stay again

It has a super great view as people mentioned. The campsite is huge.
There is a small tap to get water so you should bring any bottles to get water. All are good, but the toilet is horrible.
It is worth to stay 1 night.

This is a lovely peaceful site, very well maintained, the wardens are friendly and helpful. Showers and toilets spotless and frequently cleaned. Because of COVID not many showers available but as it was mid week and quiet this was not a problem.
Very good value with a mid-week special price.
Very close by there is a pub that serves good food, Mersea Barns also nearby and serving good meals with a shop selling ready to cook fresh pies and pizzas.
Very close to the beach, a lovely place to walk with a good cafe to sit and relax at the end of your walk.
Mersea Island and Fen Farm is a lovely spot for a quiet relaxing break.

We have used fen Farm before and as we had a lovely stay last year decided to book again. and we were not disappointed.
Lady on reception was really nice and friendly and helpful.
We arrived early and was greeted by Andy he's 1 of the camp wardens
Nd he remembered us from last year which is just lovely
We were given a couple of pitches to choose from
The showers and toilet are the best we have used. Cleaned multiple times a day and always hot water.
The site is quite and peaceful which we find very relaxing
Here's a small play area for children
Lots of electric points and water taps, so here no need to walk a long way
You can walk though the site to the beach about 10 mins
We will definitely be visiting again
Well done fen farm and thank you to all the staff and especially Andy for making our visit brilliant

Lovely grounds. Staff so helpful.
Lovely walks we have 4dogs n had dog fields and beach within minutes.
Used on site toilets and cdnt believe how clean and looked after they are. Elsan point better than have ever seen.
Shame weather was rubbish.

Lovely site very clean.
Unfortunately covid rules not really in place although signs up people not following them and no one monitoring it.
Also the whole time children round our motorhome playing ball and knocking into things

As always a complete success.
Fen farm is exceptionally clean from the washrooms, Facilties to the surrounding areas.
The staff are knowledgeable, extremely helpful and informative.
This was our 4th time staying here, it’s as good as ever.
It’s rural so don't expect a bar or entertainment but will offer you the most relaxing holiday.

Great location for beach.
