Fantastic site, friendly and helpful staff.
Lovely area were all the children play.
The shower and toilets were always clean,
They have a really handy dog shower as well.

Fantastic place! Lovely friendly campers and wardens. Extremely well looked site, helpful.
Kids loved the park, woods and beach walk.
Definitely recommend and we have booked to re visit again next summer.
Kids s ages 3, 5, 5, 6, 8, 12 and a dog!

This was our 2nd year staying at Fen Farm.
It's a fantastic site.
Wardens are friendly and helpful and facilities are clean and in great condition.
Close to the beach and few parks for kids.
Other campers are friendly and welcoming to newbies.
Highly recommended site.
It will be our yearly holiday.

We had a fabulous time at fen farm!
Brilliant for kids, lots of open space, 2 parks and a forest/ field to play in.
Our children made friends and spent most of their time in the park - that shut at 9. 30pm.
We must of been lucky, as the entire campsite was silent by 10pm which was wonderful!
Ladies- Just make sure you go to the toilet before 10. 30am as they do close the bathrooms for an hour for cleaning - you could use the men’s but not something I’d like my young girls to do.
Hope to see you again next year!

This is a very isolated and quiet site. £35pn. Very neatly maintained and cared for. Good clean facilities.
It can be a bit exposed and windy. Poor phone and wifi signals.
The house wifi is not cheap. Two island restaurants can deliver Indian food and pizzas.
The Dog and Pheasant is very close. There are only two cab firms on the island. Both are one man bands.
£10 to go into West Mersea. The third comes from Colchester and charges £20.
HINT - when driving to the site, stop off just before the causeway at the Peldon Rose pub in Peldon. Lovely food, ambience and staff. Sets you up for your visit.
There is a bus stop at the pub but we never got round to checking out the bus service.

A great site with ample sized pitches and very close to the beach.

Arrived on site to be welcomed by the site wardens who were extremely helpful,
The site was very clean and tidy, toilets immaculate, and we had a very pleasant stay.

Great place to stay and holiday.
Facilities are great and easy access to the beach.
This time round there was a pizza van that did great fresh pizza.
Would highly recommend.

Fen Farm camp site is in a very quiet location and there are few facilities so it may not suit everyone. However, the showers and toilets are very good and if anything, the water was too hot! There is no shop or clubhouse.
However, there is a small shop on an adjacent holiday park that can be used for essentials and there is a very nice country pub a short walk away through the woods. The beach is also just a short walk away.
It is a mixture of sand and shingle and slopes quite steeply down to flat muddy area that extends out a long way at low tide. Therefore, you can realistically only swim for about an hour each side of high tide (unless you walk for 30 minutes to Stone Point "up-East").
Be aware that Mersea Island is accessed via a causeway ("The Strood" - B1025 Mersea Road), which floods at very high tides so keep an eye on tide-times.
The town of West Mersea is about 3 miles west, where there are several shops (including Coop and Tesco Metro supermarkets), a couple of pubs, restaurants and takeaways. Mersea Island is a fantastic place to visit, with a rich and long heritage of fishing, oyster farming and sailing. It is quiet but ease into the slow pace and you'll have a great time.
The most important comment I can make about Fen Farm is that the staff are excellent; very friendly and helpful.
My only complaint is with dog-owners. I find it unbelievable that people do not clear up their dog's mess on site, especially when dogs must be kept on a lead and hence, the owner must be aware. Incredible!

What a great stay and lovely family campsite!
Was lovely and clean- very impressed with the toilets and shower facilities.
Wardens very friendly and happy to help!
The field near the play park is great for kids- the play park has plenty to entertain them and make friends.
Easy walk to the beach- pebble beach but perfect for a walk or a play for the kids!
Great place to explore Mersea- country park a few minutes drive and West Mersea about 10 minutes.
We will definitely be back!

Lovely quiet site,
Well sited for walking to the beach and access to public footpaths.
Only reason I’ve marked the site facilities lower was due to the extremely hot showers

Liked the clean shower & toilet block, views,
Ease of check in and surrounding peace and quiet.
Would definitely stay again.
Disliked the lack of Wi-Fi but not Fen Farms fault.

This was our second time at Fen farm and we have yet again had a fab time!
Shower and toilet facilities are great and very clean and the kids love the play area making new friends each time we come.
Thoroughly enjoy coming here and can’t wait to book another trip! 🤩
