Lovely peaceful campsite with helpful friendly owners/supervisors who can't do enough for you. Plenty of space on pitches (some of which are on a slope so take blocks).
Some road noise at times but it didn't bother us during the day or at night and we were right by it. You can pitch up in the top field to totally avoid it.
Lots of seasonal touring pitches which were beautifully presented and cared for by the owners, all of whom we found friendly. Spacious private shower rooms which made them worth the extra 20p for 4 minutes.
Not much in the way of a shop (sweets, drinks and icecream) so take what you need with you. Nearest supermarket is about 6 miles. Garden centre over the road has a lovely cafe offering home made cakes and cooked breakfasts etc. DVD and book library for loan - lovely touch.
To be perfect for us as a family it could do with a play area to keep the kids entertained but they managed to amuse themselves for the weekend.
Thanks for a lovely stay - we'll def be back.

As first time campers we found this lovely camp site. Everyone was so helpful and kind.
The camp site was secure and clean. There is some road noise and a noisy owl but otherwise quiet and relaxing.
We will be going back and I would recommend to all if you are looking for some peace and quiet and are happy to entertain yourselves.

This is an absolute gem of a campsite let down by just a few minor things.
1. The top field slope with its lovely views
2. The road noise from the A21is noticeable ( I always take ear plugs when camping so this solved this)
3. No separate toilets from the wet rooms.
4 on site shop could be better stocked. ( lots of sweets but no eggs )
Now the positives.
1. Brilliantly located for Hastings and the surrounding area.
2. A lovely quiet campsite, there is no play area for small ones.
3. Has all the facilities you need, spotlessly clean hot showers at any time of the day or night ( 20p for four minutes which I found to be plenty but the good lady did use 8 mins ), washing machine and tumble dryer at £2 and £1. Night Lighting across the site. Washing up facilities x3 ( 2 indoor 1 outdoor).
4. The site drained really quickly despite the torrential downpours.
5 very friendly and helpful managers
6. We'd have no hesitation in returning to this site in the future.
We managed to camp at the bottom of the hill, due to the site no being busy, which was flat but that is normally reserved for caravans/motor homes so I think we were a bit lucky, although despite the slope in the top field there were flat areas which would of accommodated our two tents.
The facilities are very good in deed, 6 wet rooms with shower, basin, toilet and free hair dryer. There are separate toilets on site but these were closed pending refurbishment.

Fabulous weekend spent at Meadowview Park campsite. We camped in the top field, which is sloped but worth it for a lovely view from the doorway. The grass was nice and short and we had the pick of the field as the site was very quiet. The hook ups and taps for drinking water were well spaced. There was some background road noise, but this didn't bother us and it died down from about 11pm.
The site was very tidy and clean. The toilet block was great, piped music, motion sensors for the lights and it was very well set out. We enjoyed the privacy of the individual wet-rooms which had a toilet, sink and shower in each one. The showers were 20p and the water was hot and ran well.
There is also a small, tidy laundry room and a small covered wash up area.
The site wardens were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. There is a small shop for essentials and a nice seating area outside.
There is no playground, but for us this wasn't a problem, in fact a bonus! We enjoyed that it was a well kept, well run, quiet site, with not much going on, other than being able to sit and enjoy the sunshine.

Meadowview is a practical and well maintained site with excellent facilities. The nicest toilet and shower facilities I've experienced on a camp site!
It was fine for an overnight stop and a good base if you have transport to explore the area. However the immediate location doesn't have a lot to offer if you want to explore on foot and the road noise is very noticeable.

We stayed here for one night last year in around September, and was very happy to return this April.
We used our 6 man tent w/out electric and there was plenty of room in the top field. Unfortunately it is on a steep slope, but you soon get over that. Can't beat the price, and no minimum stay for a bank holiday weekend. Perfect!
Good location for Hastings and Battle. A nearby Sainsbury's provides all the essentials you need. A Dunelm mill provided a nice distraction on a rainy day too :)
Site owners very friendly and welcoming. Small shop that stocked a couple of essentials, and they ran an Easter Egg Hunt here for the kids which was a nice touch too.
What really makes this site stand out - is the toilet/shower block. There were 6 to 8 individual wet rooms with shower, sink, toilet, hand dryer, hair dryer etc. It was 20p for a shower which lasts around 3 minutes. I NEVER mind paying for a shower, when it guarantees hot water at any time we used them! Little touches like the mops provided ensured that all the users maintained the excellent standard of cleanliness provided by the owners. The radio piped in good music 24/7 and the motion detectors meant you didn't have to fumble in the dark for a switch, and made it a little greener too.
The only downside to this site, is that it isn't closer to home!

I stayed at Meadow View Park in October 2013, my partner and I found the site to be well maintained and tidy. The wardens were friendly and helpful. The toilets and showers were cleaned throughout the day, the showers were powerful and warm, costing 20p for around 4 mins which we thought was great value. There were some information leaflets in the on site shop, the wardens had lots of local knowledge and were always available for advice. I certainly plan to return.

Once we had got our heads around the name change from Crazy Lane to Whydown Farm to Meadowview and found the place - what a little gem. Protected by password controlled barriers, the new managers, Sue & Gary, were very helpful and the check in very quick. It was a bit quiet so we had plenty of choice and chose a level pitch on the lower field. Plenty of hookups and water points and not far from the ' facilities '. Showers were wetrooms, reasonably new and which included excellent shower (20 pence for 4 minutes which was more than enough) hair dryer, wash basin and toilet, we never had to queue.
A small shop on site stocking basics but a 10 minute walk will get you into Seddlescombe which has a typical village shop and post office and the Queens Head, a 15th century pub with good ales and food. A 5 minute drive up the road you will find Cripps Corner and the White Hart, another excellent pub doing good food and ales where we ate on a couple of occasions, it also has a fish & chip takeaway service on weekdays - well recommended. Easy access to Rye, Eastbourne, Bexhill and Battle all of which deserve a visit - beware parking in this area can be expensive !
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and if we find ourselves in this area again would not hesitate to return.

Under new management. Now called Meadowview.
The new owner has good plans for the site, several changes have been made already. New electric and water being installed, showers are now hotter and more powerful.
Gary & Sue the new wardens are very friendly and helpful.
The noise from the A21 mention previously is not really noticeable most of the time in a caravan, just the odd motorbike and lorry.
Looking forward to the future to see what happens.

What a lovely site and a lovely welcome from the wardens.
Site is very clean, fields are cut nice, small shop on site for milk, tea, sugar, ice creams. Very good location for visiting Battle. Rye, Hastings, Bexhill. Nice level pitches for caravans in the lower field. The middle and top field slopping but not a problem, top field has large hedges around. Toilet block has six large wet rooms of which all very are clean. Enjoyed our stay and will be going back.
