Well kept and managed site. Showers could do with a bit of an upgrade but toilets spotless.
Site is Situated in middle of town with easy walking access to all facilities.
Baird butchers is first class and hotel meals are all on a par.
Bruce’s heart interred in grounds of Abbey, solemn place.
Regular bus service going past site and lots of walks from site as well.
Perfect destination for relaxing break and highly recommended.

Stayed here before 2yrs ago,
Lovely location very clean & tidy, No need for public transport its 2min walk into town,
Good TV reception,
Its pricey at £38. 40 that's £10 more than 2yrs ago & no age concession given!
Been touring Scotland for 2 weeks and stayed on better sites and paid £25 on average,
Wont stay again only because of the cost.

It was our first visit to Melrose CAMC and we were blown away by it.
The location is superb as Melrose is a beautiful border town with lots of great dog friendly pubs and individual shops.
The new Co-op next door is incredibly handy. There is also a mobile post office in the Co-op car park.
We loved exploring the town streets and visiting the pubs and cafes. We had lovely meals and snacks in The Kings Arms, The George and Abbotsford, Abbey Wines and The Rose Cottage.
There are lovely walks along the River Tweed. Unfortunately we only stayed for 2 nights but will definitely stay for longer next time. Wardens are very helpful.
Everyone we met was absolutely charming. One of our top 5 sites now. This site ticks many boxes.

Site is very well located in the middle of town - as expected this does mean it is not as peaceful as some sites.
Some of the pitches on site were overlooked by houses whilst some on the other side were next to sports facilities with flood lights ablaze on an evening.
It is also quite a small site and there appeared to be a scramble to get the best pitch !
The town itself is pleasant to walk around.
Heading up and out of town finds you on the Eildon Hills very quickly - the ascent is quick and steep but the views are worth it !

Nice site. Pretty well standard CAMC standard. Arrived to be offered choice of a couple of pitches and ended up on a large cracker with good screening.
Shower facilities adequate although rather tired looking.
Site is in a great location on edge of Melrose with lots to do - shopping, abbeys, Abbotsford House, rugby.
Edinburgh's not that far away.
Could easily have spent much longer here than we did

Absolutely faultless, great location with great facilities, shower block and waste recycling points all constantly kept to a very high standard.
Price was a bit higher than expected but no too much for the amenities and the time of year.
5 minute walk to the main streets of Melrose, we also walked the Eildon hills on foot from the campsite without issue.

Just home after our second stay at Gibson Park in Melrose.
The sun shone brightly for our weeks visit and we walked and shopped in many of the shops of which there are a great choice.
Having the Co-op on the doorstep was great.
We visited the Abbey,
The workmanship from centuries ago is magnificent
Our favourite walk was along the river on the far side of the bridge
Our dog loved the river and swam happily and careered all over the place.
I can’t complain about Gibson Park
The facilities were first class. The staff worked very hard to keep the park in tip, top condition. During our week there was a lot of coming and going and the system in place is excellent.
We are already planning to visit again in the autumn

Well cared for, leafy site with lots of flower tubs scattered around. Melrose Gibson is right in the middle of things with the Co-op right outside the site.
Melrose itself is a fantastic town. We visited the Abbey, the Roman museum (new one to open in August), and had lunch in the beer garden of Burts hotel in the Market Square - highly recommended.
Lots of good walks down by the river. We'll definitely be back.

This is a small level site right in the town centre.
The toilet block was kept clean and tidy. There is a wrist band system designed to limit the facilities to only 2 people at a time (during covid). It works if everyone understands it, but I spoke to many people whilst queuing who hadn’t understood what they were supposed to do.
Melrose is a very pretty town with many places to eat, a small Co-op right next to the site and lots of independent craft and art galleries.

Very convenient site, situated next to a park and near to Melrose and a little coop.
Friendly reception. Good system in place for using toilets and showers.
