Mynydd Mawr has some stellar reviews but we were left feeling somewhat disappointed. At £38 per night for a family of 4 we were surprised to have to pay extra for the showers. 50p bought 3min45 but then you needed to push the button every 5-10s to keep the water flowing, not a great experience.
The facilities in general were inadequate for the number of pitches, the gents had 3 toilets, 2 showers and 3 sinks for an estimated 80 pitches at the time of our stay.
Both toilets and showers were always in demand and their condition reflected this.
The location was nice but not amazing with the view of the sea somewhat limited.
On balance it was a reasonable site in a good location but not somewhere we are likely to return.

We thoroughly enjoyed camping here and had great weather!
The toilets and showers were nice and clean and the showers easy to use.
Carol and Robert are such lovely hosts and couldn’t do enough for us. It was lovely to be able to get coffee and cake on site and appreciate the beautiful views of the ocean!
We would definitely come back here again : ) thank you Carol and Robert!
I would also really recommend Carols Bara Brith cake too! : )

Beautiful location,
Toilets and washing area,

A brilliant setting with sheltered fields and fields with fantastic sea views. Easy access to the pebble beach. Booking and check-in faultless.
The shared facilities are very clean.
Note the access road is narrow and needs care.
Plenty of coastal walking in the surrounding area.
There is no shop on site but several a couple of miles away.
There are no pubs/restaurants within walking distance.

Beautiful location, with lovely sea view.
Stopped before all facilities were open due to covid regulations but seemed clean enough, hand sanitiser, situated right by bins, for cleaning hands after living bin lids, not seen this at many other sites.
Excellent coastal walks straight from campsite.
Very friendly owner.
Will definitely stay here again

Kind and attentive hosts.
Stunning views and walks.
Great cafe and facilities.
Quiet and peaceful.
This site fully satisfied our needs, unspoilt views and careful management. If you want to travel from the site and don’ t want to drive you will have to walk.
The coastal path is 4 miles to the nearest village, Aberdaron and 2 miles by road.
Loved it.

An excellent site with amazing views. Lovely friendly owner, very good toilet/shower block, and simple but adequate cafe selling the best Bara Brith cake ever !
Not a site for those wanting a lot of shops/restaurants etc but perfect for a quiet break in a beautiful setting.
If anyone has left a bad review they must have been expecting a different kind of site and that is not the site’s fault. We give it 10/10.

Stunning site right on the edge of the Llyn Penninsular AONB with spectacular views out across Cardigan Bay towards Bardsey Island.
Make sure don't miss out on the spectacular coastal walks which literally start from the site to explore the unique natural environment and rich Welsh history

What a special campsite! Peaceful and right at the edge of the world in the beautiful Llyn.
Nice clean facilities and lots of space. We were staying a week following the bank holiday so they gave us the best pitch!
Sea views and lovely walks from the site and the little cafe they have is a bonus!
One of our favourites.
