 My husband me and our 2 children camped for 1 night as we hadn't camped before we choose the campsite as it was only an hour from where we live.
The facilities were very good and very clean. 3 toilets and 3 showers in the mens and the womens block.
The children enjoyed seeing the donkey.
Would love to stay again.
Supermarket was 5 minutes drive.
No children's play area but children played football.

What a lovely peaceful site, yet 5 minutes from whitchurch where the supermarkets are. We stayed there because we were at a wedding at combermere abbey. The weather made it, didn't want to go home, sitting there chilled listening to the cows and sheep and noah the donkey overlooking the countryside. The toilets were immaculate and the owner was very friendly and let us stay on and go home anytime. We will definitely go back

A lovely campsite, would definitely return and the cakes for sale in reception are awesome. Toilets and showers spotlessly clean. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners. A real little gem. Weather was awful and Mrs Lewis even apologized for the weather, bless her. You can be in Whitchurch town in about 5 min drive which has all the supermarkets, pubs, restaurants etc.

Just spent Whit bank hol here, owners are the nicest and helpful people you could
Meet. Wet weather had made reversing into position hard (may get 4 x4 ) owner got landrover and put unit into place. Found hook up wasn't long enough again owner to the rescue lent us one when leaving car couldn't tow because field churned up a bit again owner to rescue towed us off.
Site is a working farm so don't expect a lot of things to do, plenty of open spaces for kids to run free. Toilet/wash blocks a plenty and clean. This was our first time caravanning even wet weather
Didn't put us off. Great place just to chill will definitely come here again hospitality goes along way.

This is a pretty little campsite just over a mile walk from Whitchurch, and nestling quietly in Shropshire countryside.
The owners are the most pleasant, helpful, people you could ever wish to meet.
Historic Whitchurch is a pretty little market town, and has a good array of supermarkets and restaurants and a small selection of shops. We found a dog friendly pub restaurant in the centre of town, canalside walks, plenty to occupy ourselves.
Back on Mile Bank Farm the animals are friendly especially beautiful Noah the donkey. And to be there in spring with the baby lambs and the daffodils is a real treat.
Congratulations to the owners for the friendliest campsite I have ever been to, they deserve great success.

This is a fantastic small, family run site. The owners are exceptionally nice and will do anything to help you (including using their 4x4 to get my caravan up a snowy hill when I arrived!)
We had our caravan on a seasonal pitch at this site for the past year and have had nothing but pleasant visits. The site is located approximately a mile to a mile and a half from Whitchurch centre (walking distance), which has a few really nice pubs and a couple of supermarkets. We always took our two dogs with us to the site who were made as welcome as we were. There is also a field which can be used to exercise the dogs.
The facilities are clean, modern and always well stocked with soap and paper etc and there was always plenty of hot water.
The site is also a stones throw from the Shropshire canal and the Sandstone trail for some nice scenic walks.
I would definitely recommend visiting this little gem!

After reading a few reviews on here, all I can say is they seem a little harsh. Its a campsite, it provides everything you need. Would go again, lovely location, space for children to run about. Clean, hot water always there when required, grass cut & collected on touring pitch, yes it is a little sloping but nothing to get upset about.
Easy to find, entered postcode in to sat nag and got us almost there, on the road from Whitchurch cant miss the sign/site on the left.

Loved, loved, loved this site. The family running the site very friendly. We were situated on a field looking out at sheep which was nice to wake up to. The lewis family are happy for kids to look at there animals and make a fuss of the numerous cats they have. The farm is situated in the middle of nowhere but near enough in a car to go to supermarket etc. For food. Everything is clean and smelt great and the dog and kids loved it. Hope to go back soon! Highly recommend this site

Just returned from a fantastic weekend, lovely site with great quality facilities, toilet/shower block excellent, clean and well equipped with access for all. On a hardstanding pitch with services, site is clean and tidy and very well kept. Owners are friendly and helpful and very welcoming. The site was busy but not noisy or crowded. The local town of Whitchurch has all the shops you need only 5 minutes away with ample parking, some free. 2 large supermarkets (Tesco and Sainsburys) also an Iceland. And Lidl. Have been to plenty of other sites of this size but this is the best so far. I am so taken by the site, the location and the family who run it, I have taken a seasonal pitch. Would highly recommend to all.

Just come back from Mile Bank Farm campsite after a three night stay (26th July 2012) with friends and family. In total there was 5 tents erected - 3 large Royal Bordeux tents and 2 Regatta tents, situated beneath what the site owner referred to as, 'Under the Tree'.
Don't expect anything other than a field to pitch your tent. I said that because some reviews you read people say they were in a field, and make it sound that it's a terrible thing. C'mon guys you're camping.
John and Gill the site owners are very helpful and accommodating. Gill has more to do with the admin side of things, while Farmer John takes on the role of Jack of all trades if you like.
There are several fields all with well kept grass. 2 fields mainly host caravans, while our field catered for tents. There is a new shower and toilet block which was a privilege to use compared to some campsites I have stayed.
Inside the very spacious toilet block there are 3 shower cubicles and 4 toilets, as this applies to the men also, only with urinals I'd expect (Going off what my husband told me).
There is also a portable cabin a little further away for the caravanners with the same sort of arrangement on the inside, only this one provided books on a shelf with seating if you wanted to read while waiting to wash, having said that the shower block was always empty when I went to bathe, so no queues. Also the disabled are catered for too.
Showers have running hot water, and was free to use throughout my time there. The farm has animals you can feed (Marjorie the Highland Cow, and Noah the Donkey). Penned in another barn the kids got to feed the baby lamb with a bottle, as wellas feed the goats and pigs - bread.
I believe a play area for kids is in the pipeline, but because the owners haven't long been at Mile Bank Farm, its taking time to get things prioritized, so everyone's stay is a pleasant and pleasing one for both the young and old.
In adjacent fields your neighbours are cows and bulls, which are moved around after being milked to another field, and back again when the grass is high.
No shop within in walking distance, that is if you think 1 mile is far away. Exactly 1 mile from the site, are your big stores (Tesco - Home Bargain - Lidl - Coral Bookies (just saying) chinese and kebab take aways and more.
Whitchurch town is in abundance of shops on the scenic streets. There is not much more I can say, but if you want a quiet relaxing time, then this is a good choice.
Would I camp here again? Most certainly, it has all the beautiful qualities of country life, of which many of us town people crave.
