Lovely little site with immaculate toilet and shower facilities, albeit it only one of each for both men and women. We stayed in a cosy, homely pod for three nights as part of a larger group which included two tents. All necessary items were included in the pod plus some - very kindly, we were left a complimentary bag of wood, marshmallows and skewers. Adrian, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful. The fire pits were a delightful touch, more bags of wood were available on site for a reasonable price. Setting was peaceful and rural without being isolated - we could walk to the Muddy Duck, a lovely not too posh gastro pub whose owners made our party of eight, including four children, very welcome. All in all, a super break, we will definitely return!

Would have given this 10 out of 10 but they are clearly always trying to improve! The campsite provides instant entry into another calmer more sedate world. Go here if you are looking for peaceful, friendly and happy environment. Its very easy to get to all local visitor attractions and there are shops and pubs fairly near by. I would love to make this little retreat a regular stop over. The family loved ending each day beside the fire pit.

Stayed here to visit bath and explore the area. Managed to navigate to the site avoiding the steep hill.

Pitch was a bit small really and uneven. Awning flooded due to bad rain and van on a slant.

Very close proximity to neighbours who were in a tent clattering their pots at 8 am on the dot every single morning outside, right next to our caravan.

Separate tent and van areas would be good. As got a van to avoid listening to noise from tents. Also there was a hen party going on during our stay.

It was a very quaint site, pretty. Felt relaxed there. We enjoyed the goats and proximity to bath. Lots to do in the area, places to eat and history. We walked down the canal to bath one day. We walked to a local pub another day.

Wi-Fi got turned off at night must have been on a timer as owners weren’t on site.

Owners were friendly and pleasant.

A delightful place to stay, the pitches were nicely located round the site under trees for shade. The owners were friendly and helpful.

It was delightfully peaceful with no traffic noise at night

The toilets and shower were clean with no queues. We will be back one day I am sure.

Thoroughly recommended.

Lovely campsite. Nicest owners in the world! Blackberries is in an idyllic place. Just 10 minute bus ride (96) from Bradford on Avon, a superb base for exploring. Although we never went, its only 15 mins from Bath.

There are chickens and goats on site which add to the feeling of being in an idyll. There is also a protected 'batcave'

The facilities are immaculate. There's one shower for each male and female and same for the loo's. A covered washing up area as well as a meeting area are also available.

We can thouroughly recommend this lovely campsite.

Cheddar Mendip Heights Club Site

Set in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - the Mendip Hills. There are 90 grass and hardstanding pitches some with hookup, for tents, caravans and motorhomes. The well laid out site has excellent shower and toilet facilities, including a family room, plus a laundry room and a well-stocked licensed shop selling local produce. Non members are welcome to book!

You can walk to the village of Priddy where you`ll find a popular pub serving food and the Priddy Good Farm Shop, selling a range of locally produced food. There are many attractions in this area of Somerset and the south west including Bath and Weston-super-Mare, and the site is ideally located, midway between Cheddar Gorge and Wells.  We have just returned from a relaxing stay at the Blackberries Camping Park. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by Adrian and shown around the site, given the freedom to choose our pitch.

We stayed in the field furthest from the entrance, which was quiet and peaceful, however still close enough to the showers and washing up facilities. There were also a couple of toilets by the field which were always kept clean.

We enjoyed a number of walks from the site, to Browns folly, the Muddy Duck pub, as well as down to the canal where we walked along to Bath and Bradford-on-Avon - although there is a steep hill climb on the way back up to the site! It was nice to leave the car at the site and explore by foot, and the location allowed us to do this easily.

In the evenings, we sat outside as the weather was lovely. We used a fire pit on a couple of chillier evenings- the logs for which you can purchase on site- which really added to the camping atmosphere.

All in all we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and look forward to returning if we are in the area again.

We've just returned from a lovely weekend camping at Blackberries with a large group, and we all agreed that this was one of the nicest sites we've stayed on. The owners Adrian and Beryl are lovely and friendly, and very relaxed.

The site is very 'natural', with nice flat areas of short grass surrounded by mature trees - no regimented rows here! We were on one of the hard-standing pitches but this still had a grass area for our day tent/awning and was surrounded by taller plants.

The facilities were spotlessly clean with plentiful loo roll and paper towels. Although there are only a couple per sex, there was never more than a couple of minutes' wait even at peak times.

Overall a lovely site and one we'd return to again.

We visited with a group of friends for the weekend.

The owners greeted us and showed us where to pitch on this beautiful little site.

The facilities are kept lovely and clean with plenty of hot water, only one toilet and shower per sex does lead to a few waits but nothing to worry about.

Amusing to be pitched by the goat field.

There's some good walks that can be started from the campsite around browns folly.

Great site and certainly one we'll consider again.

The Blackberry Camping park was a great location for a hen weekend. We hired 2 bell tents which were fully equipped with beds, bedding, towels, cooking equipment etc. This was camping made very easy. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and Beryl and Adrian went out of their way to make everything perfect for our stay. We had an outside cooking area that was covered which was fantastic as it rained the whole time we were there. There was a little building that we were allowed to use for a belly dancing and cooking activity which was amazing since it was still raining! There are goats and chickens on the site which were very entertaining. The actually site was very clean and really well thought out with sites hidden with high grass and trees. The toilet and shower facilities were always clean but they could do with more (I know they are working on this) The showers were lovely and hot which was a bonus. We went for a few walks and enjoyed the lovely woods that surround the campsite. I can't recommend this campsite and the bell tents enough. It was a fantastic weekend.

This was our second visit to Blackberries. It is a very well laid out campsite with beautiful landscaping which is in a fabulous location. Adrian, the owner, seems to take a real pride in developing an ambiance which is relaxing, attractive and welcoming. There are few rules and, sensibly for our climate, you can even hire a fire pit and logs to keep you warm at night, in contrast to many campsites. The goats in the central enclosure, the wildflower meadows and the use of sticks and logs to create boundaries between pitches give the sense that you are not taking advantage of a commercial venture, but instead are part of a labour of love.

There is lots to do in the local area, with Bath on your doorstep and glorious walking and cycling opportunities. Adrian was able to lend us an OS map to help guide our walk and we were out all day, the only disadvantage being that the site is pretty much at the top of hill so any walk has to end with an uphill climb!

We ate in the Muddy Duck in Monkton Farleigh, which is a short walk away and serves the best pork crackling in the world. We also spent a day at Thermae Bath Spa. We are planning to return, as there is still lots in the local area which we haven't done.

Two things which would enhance the site are an increase in the shower facilities and the facility to pay by card. The latter isn't too serious, because Adrian is happy to wait for payment when it is convenient to you, giving you time to go the bank and get cash out. However, with only a couple of showers for each sex on the site, it was already getting busy out of season. I can imagine queues would be a bit too long at the height of the summer. That being said, the facilities are very good, with lashings of hot water and plenty of room. They are also spotlessly clean.

Generally, however, we love the site and will certainly be returning
