We just loved this site. Sad we only had a weekend but having just discovered Wiltshire we intend to revisit often and look forward to making this site our base. Very close to Bath and other lovely places, yet feels miles away from civilization. Gorgeous walks, and having the chickens on site was great fun.

Friendly owners, beautiful site, excellent and awesomely clean facilities. Really cannot praise this site enough. Just lovely. There has obviously been a lot of forethought and planning to make this site what it is. We have been campers for nearly 30 years and this is our favourite site so far.

A nice, peaceful, little campsite with hook ups and the usual facilities.

A great place for beautiful walks including along the Kennet and Avon canal.

We enjoyed our stay there close to our favourite haunts of Bath and Bradford on Avon amongst other places.

Owners on holiday when we arrived so no one to welcome us or provide any info on anything including where to pitch. Owners son came to check site in evening. Toilets and showers still unfinished so we didn't use them, and no wifi although they claim it is available. Cost of £18 per pitch, regardless of type/size etc is very steep for level of facilities provided. Owners returned day before we left. Very nice people and the site is in an excellent place if you like walking which we do.

Absolutely amazing small site. We had a very nice few days here, including the first night the owners Adrian and Beryl and 0their friends playing some live music around a campfire with other guests.

The site is nice and small with lovely surroundings. The night sky is truly amazing as there is no light pollution.

The owners provide wood burners with free wood to collect around the wood which is on site.

Easy access to Bath town and other small villages.

We will definitely visit again later in the year and will recommend to family and friends.

Great quiet site, in beautiful countryside. 10 minutes drive to Bath. Toilet and shower block new and clean. Owners very helpful and friendly. The site allows the loan of small fire pits which is nice on a chilly star gazing night.

When you travel to the site do not go up Prospect Place road, off Bathford Hill. Your sat nav will tell you to take this road. It is far too narrow and steep especially if you are towing.

Popular Choice in this Area

Cheddar Mendip Heights Club Site

Set in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - the Mendip Hills. There are 90 grass and hardstanding pitches some with hookup, for tents, caravans and motorhomes. The well laid out site has excellent shower and toilet facilities, including a family room, plus a laundry room and a well-stocked licensed shop selling local produce. Non members are welcome to book!

You can walk to the village of Priddy where you`ll find a popular pub serving food and the Priddy Good Farm Shop, selling a range of locally produced food. There are many attractions in this area of Somerset and the south west including Bath and Weston-super-Mare, and the site is ideally located, midway between Cheddar Gorge and Wells.  The first to stay in one of the two camping pods, extremely well equipped and comfortable fixed bed. Lots of space around the pitches which are flat and well tended with planting and blackberries to offer some privacy. Owners were very helpful and accommodating. There is lots to do in the local area with woods on the doorstep and many pretty towns, villages, canals and national trust properties. The facilities were clean and a good shower, I believe that more pods and a shepherds hut are planned you can see that this is an evolving site and that a lot of thought, planning and hardworking has gone into the site.

We don't usually write reviews but felt compelled to after visiting this site! The owners are really friendly and welcoming and the campsite is a treat! We were the second visitors and the suggestions from the previous reviewer has already been completed. The pitches are spacious and set between trees with further trees newly planted in between and areas left 'wild' to create more privacy. Fires are positively encouraged with the provision of free logs which you collect from around the site and the owners came around with marshmallows to toast in the evening!

The facilities are kept clean and there is plenty of hot water for showers and washing up. There are plenty of books to borrow with information about the local area and you don't need to travel far too the lovely city of Bath or to pick up a cycle trail.

This is a lovely, peaceful and well thought out campsite and we wish the owners luck with their new venture! We will be returning!

We loved this little site, which is still under development. It is small and perfectly positioned for Bath, Bradford-Upon-Avon (a delightful little town), Longleat (fab) and Cheddar Gorge. The owners are lovely, friendly and helpful people who have literally just opened the campsite the week we visited and who are surprised by the rate of bookings! This probably explains why the toilets and showers are not yet finished off, but are nonetheless fully functioning. If it's a hot shower you want without the really annoying timer, then this is the place for you! Besides the perfect location, the dawn chorus here is wonderful and the fact that you are allowed a camp fire just adds to the idyllic setting. Couldn't be beaten with a big stick!

We were the first customers to this brand new site. The owners were very helpful and friendly even giving us some eggs from their resident chickens. Access was a bit tricky due to wet ground and tight entrance but their land rover got us on and pitched and they have already ordered chippings to sort the problem! The site was just what we wanted- small, quiet lots of wildlife and great walks on the doorstep. Easy access to Bath and to National Trust sites which we visited. There was one toilet and a separate shower open and another one of each being finished. Brand new and very clean. Floors not tiled yet and hooks needed for doors but lots of hot water. Site is being landscaped. Hedges are planted and pitches are generous with primroses and cowslips all around. It will be even prettier as it matures. We will definitely visit again.
