Visited over may bank holiday week. Lovely location and well kept site. Toilet clean but only 3 toilets and three showers. Pitches very small, only wide enough for caravan and awning or caravan and car, cannot park on your own pitch when you have an awning up and site is busy due to fire regulations. Therefore you may have to park your car elsewhere on site, not ideal. Due to the small pitches and narrow access roads on site manoeuvring is tricky. Kids cannot ride their bikes either ? charge for dogs apply but there is no dog walk on site only the tent field.

The site is easy to find it, s well sign posted and we were welcomed by the owner who gave us the short tour and then left us to pitch where we wanted to. We chose the bottom right hand corner as there was already 2 large groups of around 6 tents and 3 massive gazebos and lots of children running around.

The facilities are clean and tidy but only 1 ladies shower has a inside sest/shelf so the hook on the door is all you have for your towel, clothes etc and its not enough.

Lovely views, sheep and horses in the adjacent field so close we could here them munching the grass. We could also here the other campers music full blast for a couple of hours and the dawn chorus kicks in around 4. 15am but that's nice to hear.

The nearest shop/ pub is 2 1/2 miles away easily, so you do need a car to get a round.

Can recommend Dyserth Falls, Prestatyn beach, Pensarn beach has a lovely cafe too.

Beware the winds on the site, we had to leave 2 days early as the exposed position and high winds damaged the tent.

I would describe the site as being very efficiently run but the welcome is decidedly businesslike rather than friendly. We went on bank holiday weekend so the site was full. We were allocated a tiny space in the corner of one of the caravan/campervan areas. We just had room for our small camper van and the integral (non sided) awning. The site is very nice, toilets and showers clean (but showers cold by 9am) and there is now toilet paper in the cubicles! There didn't appear to be anything for children on site, there is no club or shop and the nearest pub/restaurant is about 10 mins drive away - not really walking distance. The people around us on the site were very nice, which was good as you really are cheek by jowl!

Security on the site is clearly a high priority which is good, but my sister did get a fright at about 5am when she needed the toilet to find a man possibly the owner inspecting the ladies toilet! There is hook up for both caravans and some tents. For many people this site would be ideal but it is not really for people looking for their own space and is all a bit regimented. Everything from dogs to awnings is extra, the van cost £17 per night including hook up, my sister paid £14 per night for a pup tent with no hook up and £2 extra per night for the dog.

I stayed on the site with my husband and two year old son over the August bank holiday. The site is very easy to find and on arrival we were greeted by the owner who quickly found our booking. He gave us a quick tour of the site facilities and then explained where to pitch our tent.

The camping field is fairly large and has electrical hook up around the edge and space for tents without electricity in the middle of the site. We pitched up near the farmyard, though if you want to avoid the cockerel crows you may wish to pitch at the opposite side of the tent field.

The site also houses a number of caravans, is dog friendly ( we do not have a dog but there were lots on site) and is very well maintained. There is a block that houses separate men and women showers and toilets, a small washing up area and a washing machine, drier and ironing board. Rubbish is sorted in a separate block for recycling.

The site felt safe and secure, there is a large gate that is easy to open to access the site. The only downside is that there is only one plug socket in the laundry room and non in the shower block, so if you do not have hook-up, when it gets busy there could be a long wait for using your hairdryer.

Overall I was very pleased with the site, it is also well located for visiting Llandudno and Rhyl. I would recommend to others.

We were 2 families camping together, hook ups on outside of field, non electric pitch as you wish. There was a little noise from the cows and rooster, but don't let that put you off.

Excellent site. Really clean facilities. Lovely friendly welcome. Very quiet and peaceful. Can't wait to return next year. It's a well positioned site to visit many areas in north Wales. Conway was beautiful as was Llandudno. Both worth a visit.

As a small group of ladies camping with our children, we had a booking for a different site but upon arriving didn't like what we saw. Made several phone calls and eventually got a place here. And what a treat it was. The costs were very reasonable for everything that is included and we had a dog. This is a very dog friendly site.

With two large tents, next to each other, we set up in record time. The views are amazing. The site is immaculate and well cared for. The owner is very welcoming, not only for his site but for his knowledge of what's about in the area.

The shower block is completely modern. Didn't have any problems regarding toilet paper as there was some in each toilet. Didn't see the rules as being a problem - just basic common courtesy to others.

We went off site each day and returned each evening to being able to relax outside and on one night we had a BBQ. The children weren't told to hush and all other guests were polite and not noisy either.

We would definitely go back there. The only downside was the early morning call from the farmyard across the way but hey, I love farms and we went back to sleep.

Easy to find just take j29 off A55(follow brown caravan signs).

Beautifully kept site with lovely views, peaceful and relaxing, toilets and showers kept spotless, elsan point best iv ever seen and again this was kept spotless.

Nothing was too much trouble for the owner and his handyman. Electric hookups available.

Flower beds and hedges kept beautiful, grass cut regularly. Beaches a short drive away, lots to visit including a very interesting slate museum which was free. I really had a great time here.

Keep up the good work. Great place run by really great people

Firstly must thank the owner for accommodating us at the last minute as our original plan to tour Somerset was cancelled due to the floods and boggy campsites!

Easy check in and we were directed to our pitch. It was a bit tight to get in but the mover helped and we were soon set up.

Shower block fine with plenty of hot water. Area to wash up too as well as a laundry. The owner takes great pride in the site and should do as its modern and well equipped.

The site is easily accessed off the A55 Express Way. If coming from Chester you run off at J29 go back on yourself over the bridge and the site is up the road.

Country lane to exercise the dog too. There was also a man on site who will valet your caravan (cheap too)

Incredibly quiet too just the sounds of birds and animals.

Would I go back again. Definitely. It’s a site that deserves to do well

We stayed here for our 1st wedding anniversary.

The site is very well kept with excellent shower / toilet blocks. There seems to be many tourers there permanently so although the site looked full, there were not many people about. Everyone was friendly but didn't interfere like on previous sites we have been on.

The pitches are small and there's nothing in the way of views to look at whist relaxing. This was no bother to us as we had planned to visit all the seaside towns which were in very easy reach.

There are 'local' shops 10 minutes drive away.

Overall this is a great base for exploration of north wales and as we love the area so much, I've no doubt we'll be back.

Nice clean site but too many rules for us. Convenient for the A55 as a stopover on the way to Ireland.

Shower block was clean however a couple of old towels were left to wipe the sinks out after use, no mop for the showers, shower heads too close to the walls, toilet paper - one big roll outside the toilets so you have to get some before you go in.

Height barrier set at 2m, had to ask for it to be lifted to go in and out, security cameras everywhere.

The children are not allowed to ride bikes on site either.

Water supply is a sink style push tap with no thread on it for a water hose, I did get wet feet!

We were on a rally but had to pay extra for the showers so was not a cheap weekend away.

No pub within walking distance but discovered The Blue Lion Inn at Cwm, very warm welcome, live music sometimes, good food.
Management response: Please note that this customer was on a rally and therefore did not have use of all the facilities on the park. His charge per night for the 2 people, his motor home and his dog was £10. 25 including electric hook-up.
