 Hello, Drew and Lynne just returned home after a nine night stay in our tent at Knock school campsite at Monreith.
Site is run by a lovely lady who made us feel very welcome and very obliging with any questions we asked.
The site was clean and peaceful and covered all our needs. Area for tents was between a wall and hedge providing shelter and was well drained ground as we did get some rain but unobstructed sun when it came out.
A ten minute walk will take you to a beach and a golf course if you're into that and numerous other walks in close by vicinity.
A short drive will take you to Port William or Whithorn if you need any shopping and a fifteen minute drive to Isle of Whithorn to an excellent restaurant.
Incidentally there a very few midges in this area, we enjoyed our stay at Knock school and would return if in this area again.

Pleasant and very well maintained site with well spaced hardstanding and grass pitches.
Good toilet and shower facilities.
Dog friendly.
Could not fault it.

A little gem of a site. The grounds were neat and tidy without being too manicured. The facilities were clean.
Five of the eight caravan pitches have hard standings for the van.
I would suggest avoiding corner pitch 5 if you have a long van due to the slope.
The owner was very welcoming and knowledgeable about local walks and attractions. All in all - highly recommended!

Loved this campsite
The owner's could not have been more friendly and helpful
It's just what we want peaceful idyllic and beautiful near wonderful beaches

Lovely peaceful site close to beach with several coastal walks including to Monreith bay.
Beautifully maintained with friendly welcome and lots of useful tips on where to go if you ( like we ) are on the SWC 300 tour.

This is a lovely tranquil site, our go to place when we want just chill out and relax, we have had two weekends here already this year and we are just back today from a week's holiday and can honestly say I have never been to such a nice, quiet and relaxing site.
Pauline the owner is a complete gem and along with her son Gordon you will receive a warm and friendly welcome.
Pauline and Gordon keep the grounds and gardens beautiful, clean and tidy and are always happy to share their local knowledge and advise on places to visit, walks etc.
The toilet and shower area is kept immaculate.
The surrounding area is beautiful and great for walking, apart from the occasional passing car the loudest thing you will hear is birds and other wildlife.
The night sky from the caravan site is something to behold due to the lack of light pollution.
My wife and I are looking forward to many more relaxing visits here.

Made very welcome by the owner and when leaving came and asked if we had enjoyed our stay which we had
Site is very clean and tidy and nice and quiet which is what we wanted for a relaxing time

Small and friendly, grounds are well tended,
Very clean toilets and shower. I couldn't get the shower temperature to go up, so didn't use as it was barely warm.
