Took a few wrong turns and several impossible attempts at turning round on roads not much wider than the car but eventually we found the site. There were only a couple of tents there so we had a wander round and picked a pitch. We chose to camp right at the bottom of the site (ie. Down steep hill and to the right) as we had a view of the playground here so the kids had the freedom to come and go as they pleased. The friendly warden later told us that he had a group of youths (duke of Edinburgh?) expected that night and that he always put them at the top of the site so we were pleased about that.
A beautiful site with basic facilities. The warden was very relaxed (we didn't leave until 2pm when check out is supposed to be 11.30am) but he was keen to enforce the 'no fires' rule.

My wife, two young boys and I, spent a lovely two days at Jerusalem Farm over the May bank holiday. We had a great time. The weather was ok but we got quiet a lot of rain during the nights and Sunday morning, for the first time camping this did not seem to matter.
The site is down at the bottom of a beautiful little valley with small river at the bottom (not too deep so we didn't feel like we had to watch our 3 year old all the time). The rain brought no problems with drainage and being in the valley its sheltered. You get direct sunlight till about 7pm in May and you can get a good position so its shady in the morning.
Its well maintained and there is a great little play park for the kids, and a lovely wood on the other side of the valley for walks. We also ventured up the valley to a reservoir, there look to be lots of good walks if that's your thing (a 5 and 3 year old restrict us to a few miles!).
As you can tell we loved it and the only thing I would say is get there early in the day because once the small (10-15) car parking spaces are full that's it.
Thanks for a great weekend.

A basic campsite, pitches were located down by the stream with cars required to be parked up the hill in the car park, if you carry the kitchen sink beware! A nice quiet rural location, with helpful warden. No local amenities (in middle of nowhere), while campsite facilities are clean they are located at the top of the hill by the cars not practical in the middle of the night.

What a lovely experience Jerusalem Farm is. We went along for 2 nights, 2 elderly ones! it had been about 25 years since last camping! The area is of total natural beauty, with a very safe babbling brook, and lovely walks in the woods nearby. A very clean and well maintained site. The happy sounds of all the children in such a natural area was an enjoyment in itself. The warden or ranger as they are probably called was absolutely excellent and what a hard worker, nothing was too much for him and such a delightful young man, apparently he was the deputy, working in between college. Two taps of drinking water were very well situated also the dustbin area. Which was cleared on a regular basis. Barbecues are allowed on the many small concrete bases dotted around the grass. Its also a very quiet site, with few rules being adhered to. Its a bit of an uphill struggle! up to the toilets and washing facilities, but maybe not so, for the young! or at least younger than us! However it wasn't a problem. And the water is very hot in the washroom and shower. As the car park is also used by day visitors, it could do with being larger??? So if you want to camp there, its best to be early in the morning. There is an area in the woodland for the children to play, and a walk through the woods brings you to ? Tadpole Lake ! if you don't want to cross the stepping stones. Then there is a very picturesque bridge at the end of the site. The whole area is really very restful and beautiful. The lanes around Luddudden are interesting and the fields full of wild life, and natural fauna. Going to sleep with the sound of an owl hooting softly in the distance, the sound of the water rambling over the stones, was an absolute joy. Only one criticism is: The washing and toilet facilities could do with an upgrade! (come on council give them some money!) However that might attract Evan more people. And I am not sure that would be a benefit! Thank you for a lovely stay and grateful thanks to the 'staff'

We went on the first of June, we had previously been to visit the campsite. It is quite hard to find, situated down a one car road. The campsite is in very good condition with the grass mowed and not a piece of litter in sight. Although the campsite is very simple in its facilities the toilets were clean and adequate with toilet roll, but no mirrors and a benefit was they were open all night, which we found very handy as the stream did make us want to go to the toilet. The biggest negative we found with the campsite is the distance between the car park and the pitching ground, as the campsite is situated on the side of a hill with tent space at the bottom. The steps down to the actual camping site were quite steep and definitely keep you fit, but this makes going to the toilet during the night difficult, as well as getting all your camping gear up and down the steps. The site had 5-6 tents, there was no noise or disturbance. One tip I would suggest is pack bug repellent as there is a lot of bugs. The nearest pubs and shops are quite a walk away or a quick drive, perfect site if you want to get away from everything, i really enjoyed our nights stay.

Philpin Farm Campsite - Yorkshire Dales
Beautiful tent only site set on a family run hill farm in the Yorkshire Dales, nestled between Ingleborough and Whernside. The Three Peaks footpath runs right through the farm adjacent to the campsite with lots of walks direct from the site from easy strolls to climbing the Three Peaks, and five minutes to the pub!
Tent pitches only, no electric hookups. Toilet and shower block and washing up facilities. Sit, eat and socialise in the old barn, with free wifi, charging lockers, freezer. At weekends the Philpin Snack bar is open for cooked breakfasts, hot and cold snacks and drinks, ice creams, chocolates etc, on other days there are vending machines in the barn. Find out more here

Is is a lovely little campsite. Quite hard to find as there are lot of little lanes all over the place, even with Sat-Nav still had to retrace our steps a couple of times. The campsite has a little car park at the top that can accommodate up to about 20 cars. Because of the restrictive size of the car park the campsite can not get too busy. Get there early as you can to ensure a car parking space. The site it’s self is at the bottom of a small valley. There is large stream which runs down the length of the site. There is a bridge at one end of the site leading to a few footpaths through the woods. Once you have set up camp and caught your breath back from lugging all your camping gear down the hill. You realise what a beautiful part of the country you are in. There were plenty of space in-between groups. There were 10 of us (and 5 tents) and we still had enough room for some Frizzby and Boules without disturbing anyone. I am glad we found this gem of a campsite. You camp at the bottom of the valley; toilets and shower are at the top. You have to pay a deposit for the shower key which you keep for the duration of your stay. The shower is great plenty of hot water at no extra cost. On the Saturday we decided to go for a walk through countryside to local pub. After a few wrong turns and a 4 mile hike we found the pub which was only 30 minutes away from the campsite. Ah well we saw some great views and it made the first pint worth while. A few draw backs to this site, Firstly, there is no access to this campsite with a car. You have to carry all your camping gear up and down a very steep hill with plenty of steps. Because of this it may be some time before we return to this campsite. Secondly the Warden in charge is not the friendliest of people. If you have made a mistake or unknowingly broken a rule, he tended to explode in torrent of shouting, rather than a polite word (possible power trip). I saw this happen with another group and ourselves over small parking infringements. However this did not spoil our stay and I would recommend this place to almost everybody.

This is a lovely little site. We went may bank holiday and it was lovely and quiet. The car park was full by sat afternoon but the field itself is quite big so it seemed quite empty which was great compared to most places bank holiday. This was probably because of the steps u have to cart all your stuff down ( and back up!) and the site is pretty much in the middle of no where. If this is what u want then then u will be fine. Tip: dont take everything including the kitchen sink with u to this site. Think basic camping and u will be fine. The showers, toilets etc are basic but clean. No mirrors which I think they could do with. And u have to put a £10 deposit down for the shower key There is a pub about 2o mins walk away which is a bit of a trek. U have to walk through the woods which was an adventure in itself at midnight after a few!

Facilities a little basic with only 1 shower for both sexes, though there was never a queue most people used it a just a 1 night stay. Very peaceful and the scenery is pretty and nice walks through the woods. The only drawback is you have to leave your car at the top and carry all your stuff down a hill, not too bad going down but going ups hard work

Great site, we had the place to ourselves the first night. One other tent the second night. Probably something to do with having to carry everything down from the car park to the site. The site itself is right next to a stream and there are some great walks in the area.

Pitched tent in a lovely spot near the stream and the sunny afternoon was most peaceful - a few friendly walkers by. The night time was not so pleasant. The insects you tolerate but a crowd at one end of the field were very noisy all night with music playing right through till morning. The shower was hot and the warden helpful and friendly. The field was very clean - no litter seen anywhere and the grass cut. Areas were available for portable BBQs and picnic benches were nearby.
