We return to this site again and again. It is wonderful. Jean and Sean took over as site managers this year and have fitted in perfectly.
There's loads of room between pitches so you don't feel crushed in by your neighbours.
There are quite a few people who live locally that come here very regularly and you get to know them all. If you want to that is!
The ladies NEW toilet block is quite lovely, warm and welcoming. The men are still in the old ones which are quite adequate, although not as lovely as the ladies. Saying that, most men don't spend time in the wash areas like women do.
Since the early days when we had a trailer tent my husband has developed heart failure and cannot lift things like he used to, so we bought a caravan. Jean and Sean helped us to pitch and helped me with the awning. They are fantastic.
They are always around to help if you need them. We see Val passing through with Ebony the lovely Great Dane occasionaly. She's enjoying a well earned retirement now.
Marazion is a place we never get fed up with, the sea is wonderful and clear. The beach although not as nice this year (a little pebbly compared to past years) is still a wonderful place to be at sunset.
The village itself is always buzzing in the summer months with people coming to see the mount. There are lots of places to eat and relax. Dogs are allowed on a small beach to the left of the mount and further along towards Penzance at Longrock, although there are always a minority who still insist on taking them on the main beach. They're the ones who give dog owners a bad name.
We are biased as this is our favourite place to be so there's nothing bad I can say.

We've arrived at dove meadows again in the sunshine what more could you want. Lovely meal in the village, walked the dog on the beach great. But the biggest thing is the new updated ladies toilet and shower block absolutely fantastic well worth the wait to return here it's stunning well done all concerned in getting it opened for the start of the season I feel spoilt. So we have a fantastic setting a new ladies and beautiful weather you really need to visit this site to appreciate what I mean fantastic.

A very nice site close to Mount St Michael and local amenities. Pitches are big and grassy. The wardens were exceptional with their help and advice.
However no hot water for washing up (hygiene), and no basic laundry facilities.
Ladies showers and toilets brand new, Gents toilets very old but hopefully refurbished next year.

Well here we are at Dove Meadows again. Our first trip this year and what a difference to the site. The grounds are looking good and there is a new reception/office with full time wardens who are very friendly and welcoming. The big difference is a new toilet and shower block for ladies which is in the process of being built so will be up and running soon. The local pubs are still doing good food, The Godolphin has had a make over and as usual St Michaels Mount is magnificent. This is our first week of many this year can't wait to see the finished work. Well done to the owners Gordon and Val for there hard work.

We read reviews that convinced us to stay here, the pitches are spacious and well kept, but there are 3 toilets for the whole site 2 of which are smaller than portaloo toilets you have to squeeze in them and there was no hot water in the sink which is smaller than our camper van sink. So most of the time you are queuing up to use the loo with no protection from wind or rain or dark. The thing that disgusted me the most was watching 2 teenage girls having to brush their teeth in the tiny sink after a man had just had a number 2 the poor girls were gagging, totally unhygienic and there are no other sinks for just washing, well apart from the washing up sink which just has cold water. The showers you have to pay 50p for but that was another bug bear you can't get undressed until you've put your money in as they are outside the shower door where men and women are queuing to use the toilets. The beach is about 10 minute walk. Oh kids are not allowed to play any ball games

This camp site is all about its location, right across from St Michaels Mount and some of the pitches are lucky enough to be able to see this beautiful sight from their units.
Myself and my family stopped at this site whilst touring Cornwall for the first time after we had read great reviews. But after the first couple of days it all became clear. There are clearly two types of people who stay on this site, the 'regulars' and the 'one-off's'. If you are a regular you are made to feel extremely welcome from the owners. And after talking to some of them I believe they might even get a 'cheaper' nightly rate! If, like me and my family, you are possibly a 'one time stayer', then you are treated differently. The nightly rates are not advertised anywhere so you haven't got a clue what you're going to be charged.
Don't get me wrong, the current wardens couldn't do enough for you, such a lovely friendly and helpful couple - a real asset to the site, you can tell they really love it there. However in contrast the owners never spoke to us and the new wardens (I believe due to take over next year) couldn't even make eye contact with me. They seem totally unfriendly, like their hearts are not in it and it is just a big money making scheme for them. Which is very sad as it is a lovely site that could be wonderful.
Now for the site. Yes it is lovely and the pitches are a nice size so you don't feel like your neighbours are on top of you even when it is the height of the season and yes, it is in a fantastic location.
However the nightly rate is high for the facilities they have there, you are after all getting a basic grass pitch. There is no hot water in the washing up area, which is a must if staying in a tent. You have to pay extra to use the showers 50p for approx 7 minutes, so if you have a family (husband, wife and two children) you are looking at another £2 - £2. 50 a night just to have a shower! There is no shop. No lighting at night around the site. And only a couple of unisex toilets, which do get busy and you end up queuing.
All the dog owners I saw stuck to the site rules, dogs on leads at all time and exercised off of the site. But it must have been infuriating for them when the owners of the site allow their dog to wander around on its own off of a lead.
It is such a shame as this site has such great potential, however I am sorry to say we won't be staying there again.

Stayed here for 3 nights, nice clean site with large pitches, easy walk to Marazion and the mount, long beach and nice shops in the town, as others have said, shame there's no hot water and paying for showers these days but were told improvements are coming for next year. Over all we liked it and would use this site again.

We found this small site well priced, clean, and well run, the owners where very friendly and helpful. Only 10 minuets from the beach, and the shops in the village. In all a very nice site. The only downside was the fact that there were no hot water for washing up so we boiled a kettle problem solved.

Lovely well kept site in a wonderful location. Spacious pitches in a garden setting with nice shrubs etc. Views of St Michaels mount from just outside site. Close to a good bus service to Penzance and Falmouth also open top bus to St Ives. Connections to Moushole, newlyn and many other places. We received a warm welcome.
The only slightly negative comment I would have is that it rather pricey and on top of that charge for showers. Washing up sink is only supplied with cold water.
I would however come again
