Just had a fantastic long weekend at Cannon Camping with my family and friends.
The owners are very friendly and helpful.
The pitches are quite flat and are very spacious, there are plenty of bins around that are emptied regularly and lots of fresh water points too. The grass was well maintained so made for a very comfortable stay.
The washroom facilities were spotless as were the two washing up areas.
Local amenities were exactly as described on the website and the bus stop is right outside the front gate.
Great people, great value, great location.
Will definitely be going back this season.
Thank you

Clean and well maintained.
All the toilets and showers have been decorated.
Highly recommend. Great for the grandkids.

We stayed here for the weekend. We have been coming for 3 years now and love it. The site is run by the 3rd generation of the same family.
They have spent a lot of time and effort on the site this winter, and have updated the toilet block which has come out really good. A tidy, well kept site.
We met a couple who have been coming here since 2001, and have returned every year since. They said the owners have always been welcoming.
We will be returning, and always enjoy meeting new and friendly fellow campers.

The site is in a great position for Pevensey Bay beach, shops and pub which is just a twenty minute walk away. There is a bus stop outside the camp gate for Eastbourne and Hastings; Pevensey castle is just over a mile walk on a public footpath.
The campsite itself is very spacious with all grass pitches and EHU on each pitch. The top end of the field backs onto a water course and open fields. The pitches nearer the entrance are troubled with road noise but are close to the showers/toilets.
The field area is reasonably well-maintained with well cut but not very short grass. There were also random spots of ‘dog-poo’ around the site!
However, the shower/toilet block leaves much to be desired. Although functional, it is very tired inside. There is no heating in the block and as we stayed in early October it was uncomfortable using the block.
Additionally, the lights in the block are on a timer and only come on just before dusk so, if it is a dull day, as we had in October, the only light is from the small skylight windows which, makes it very dingy. We arrived on a Sunday and the toilets were not cleaned until the Wednesday.
We were the only ones living on the site for that time but, would have expected the facilities to be cleaned and checked daily, especially during COVID19 pandemic! There are no squeegees/mops to clean the shower floor after use; a nice touch would be something to sit on in the shower to be able to get dressed.
The outside washing facilities were dirty and we had to clean them ourselves before first use. Our first night washing up was done by torchlight as the lights had not been switched on nor had the water heater.
The entrance is quite scruffy with the visitors car park over grown and a couple of dilapidated cannon on show.
All my negative comments could easily be resolved with minimum cost and effort to to make the site more attractive and appealing. If you want a basic ‘no frills’ or you are self-sufficient then Cannon Park Camping is the place for you.
For £25 with EHU per night it represents poor value for money compared to other sites we have used for the same cost or less.

We had such a lovely family break here, the owners are sooo friendly and gave us a nice welcome and showed us where to park up.
The facilities are clean and pleasant and drinking water available throughout too.
Gorgeous fields for miles to walk and explore and just across from the beach and so close to the town of Eastbourne too for shopping and the Harbour which was amazing for evenings and food.
Thanks for such a special summer stay and for being so helpful throughout our stay and we can't wait to be able to return!

Canon park is to me my perfect site. Its relaxed and less formal. We always have a warm welcome and it's in the perfect spot.
Beach 2 mins away and beautiful countryside behind. If you want an all singing all dancing site then this isn't for you.
We adore Canon Park.

Hi what a beautiful, well kept site, very quiet and peaceful, and considering the situation at this time of Covid 19,
Scott and Stella did a marvellous job of keeping us safe. Wonderful walks around this area, with an easy access walk into Sidley. We feel this was one of our best breaks, and will certainly return, again and again.
Could not rate re: child friendliness as we do no9t have children, but the play area appeared to be very safe.

First time in a Motorhome, was a great experience.
(Owners very helpful )
Site was very friendly & relaxed, toilets and showers constantly being cleaned, everyone we spoke to liked it there too.
Lovely walks for the dogs, 5 mins to beach, nice walk to Pevensey Bay for the “Aqua Bar” on the beach!
20 min approx walk on beach/cycle path to Sovereign harbour for restaurants and shops.
Saw a seal fishing near waters edge on the walk back!
Bus stop right outside site.
Definitely will be returning 👍🏻😊

Great little find! No frills but clean and tidy, plenty of space.
Our dogs loved the walks all around the area, the castle ruins and the beach were their favourites.
Great marina within walking distance or a short trip in the car for a nice meal out too.
Asda Supermarket and small retail park there too.
Hopefully will return soon.

Perfect little retreat
The 5 minute walk to the beach and quiet surroundings really made the weekend break away from the city a perfect stay for us.
10 minute walk to local shops and restaurants (good local restaurant too!)
Clean facilities
Friendly atmosphere with families and couples - we also enjoyed the walk to the castle with a stop at the pub on the way back
Would visit again thank you!

Stayed midweek for 4 nights £25 with ehu, we'd moved on from a far better site that was £24 over the bank holiday weekend!
The facilities although they looked clean were the most outdated I'd ever seen (ladies), used our own shower.
The work going on at the old castle view site next door, to change it into a residential static site is rather noisy with diggers, chainsaws etc, we started to set up in the middle of the field but moved as it was too noisy. When I mentioned this to the owner, his reply was that no one had complained!
Sovereign harbour, as one of my favourite places is why we chose this site, however IT IS NOT a 10 minute walk as advertised, we're club runners and our brisk walk there and back on a cold day was 23-25 minutes.
Eastbourne pier was shut, another reason we picked the site, one of the shop owners nearby said the rumours were that it MAY open October, the owner had sacked all his pier staff.
Cycled to the Asda at Sovereign harbour for shopping.
Cycled to Pevensey castle and Eastbourne pier.
Drove to Seven Sisters on a grim, grey day, had a nice walk.
Wouldn't visit this site again.

Proper old fashioned no nonsense camping plus hook up, hot showers, clean loos, loads of space, tranquil,
Suitable for people who don’t like all the trappings of noisy, overdeveloped holiday camps!

A lovely site all on well kept grassed areas,
Toilets and showers are well maintained and clean,
Short walk to the village and the beach,
Very reasonable rates and perfect for relaxing,
Surrounded by open countryside and rural walks,
Very friendly and welcoming and highly recommend,
Lots to see in the local area which is steeped in history and with Sovereign Harbour within walking distance or a short drive away where you will find some lovely restaurants and large superstores together with some stunning settings for dining, it gives it that continental feel on a beautiful evening with all the boats and yachts, opportunity to learn some water sports can be found nearby.
Loved our stay and will definitely be returning 🌟

A fantastic location, brilliant owners. Three warm showered, for gents and the same for women. Huge level pitches with electricity. Very relaxing and quiet.
Great walks. Can’t wait to return. A stones throw from the beach. 15 min walk to super market.
Paid £25 per night - excellent value.
