Just got back from a weekend at this site. Site was in good condition loos and showers were clean if not the most modern. Wardens on the site tolerated the children rather than welcomed them, but no great issue. Generally this is a nice site with good access to the Cotswolds. Try to avoid the pitches on the right hand side of the site as these back on to the very noisy A361 and if you are used to quiet at night this may be a problem. Top field is not good if you have children as although it is close to the small park the depth of the pitches puts your child in the road if you have a larger unit. So overall we had a great weekend, just not sure if I would return to the site as it felt like it was geared more towards older clientel and not families.
Just visited prior to the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. Owners: Friendly, Helpful, cheerful Warden Access: Easy into site..very muddy into tent field Pitch: Nice and flat...not too Hard...boring run way strip for the campers, right next to the road as well!
Facilities: Dated, rather grubby for our taste. Location: Not very pretty, and you are reasonably squeezed in, but some good places to visit near by!
Opinion: As usual, the better pitches seem to go to the caravan owners. I am disappointed with the C&CC as all of the sites that we have visited so far seem to be nothing more than "Butlin's" for campers.
Too noisy, too many people, too many kids, not relaxing enough and tired, dated facilities.....but nice owners, and not bad location!
Lovely well cared for site! We were on the top field, which was lovely, even though the site must have been close to capacity it never seemed busy. Great pitches, plenty of room between tents/caravans. Facilities were clean....5 loo's, 3 showers and 3 washbasins in the womens. 3 washing up sinks and a handy laundry room. Lots of bins about, which were emptied regularly.
There is a small childrens play area and the children all seemeed to be having a good time. A small dog walking area but there is a great woodland walk across the road...also great for people not just dogs!
Lots to do in the area, we especially enjoyed: Blenheim palace, the falconry centre at Moreton and we drove up to Stratford upon avon (30 ish mins away), the lovely villages especially moreton in marsh, burford and chipping norton itself. Fantastic scenery, truely beautiful part of the world.
Wardens were friendly enough although shop didn't have much in stock. Nice pubs in chipping norton, although it's a bit far too walk in the evening! We'll definitely be returning here!
This was a top site with very friendly and relaxed management. Tents were mostly pitched in a field near the play area which was perfect for our two boys. Toilets/showers etc were always kept clean and there are laundry facilities with drying green. Chiiping Norton itself has two supermarkets and indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a large playpark for the kids and quite a few decent eating places. Other things to do near by include Gifford's circus which is a traditional circus touring the area and is fantastic. We also enjoyed the Cotswolds Wildlife Park.
I great site with a very friendly and helpful site manager. Toilets and showers were very clean and conveniently located with water, waste and chemical disposal all close at hand.
For dogs this is the best site we have visited. Although there is only a small dog area on site, there is a wonderful bridleway immediately opposite and it is totally enclosed so dogs can have a good run!
Unfortunately there is no pub nearby but apart from that it is a great site and one that we shall be going back to.

May 2005 We arrived on site to be greeted by the extremely friendly site manager (and his cute little dog), who then guided us to our pitch and helped us back into the right spot. He gave us all the information we needed and was happy to answer any questions we had during our stay.
The pitch was lovely, very private with trees around us and a small hedge and wall behind us, this was particulalrly useful as we had our dogs with us. Water point, waste disposal and elsan point were all very close. The toilet facilities were very clean and plenty of them. A small dog exercise area was provided and over the main road was a bridleway that was excellent for giving the dogs a good run. We had a vey relaxing weekend and felt that this was enhanced by a campsite manager who was friendly and knew that people were there to relax.

October 2002 A smallish site, just off the A361 Chipping Norton to Burford road near Chadlington and just 5 minutes from Chipping Norton itself.
The site is attractive and surrounded by trees that screen it from the A361. There is some noise from the road, mainly the early morning stampede to the office, but it is not intrusive. The pitches are grass and quick draining and certainly coped with the gales and downpours over this October half term week. There were only a few other units camping here this week, so it was very quiet and roomy.
The Facilities were clean and include separate cubicles with sinks or showers. I think there is a baby bath available from reception if wanted. The play area is in a separate field and in the main season it is also used for camping, but there would still be space for the children to play. There is a swing and slide/climbing frame plus open space for ball games. It might be worth staying with smaller children while they play there as the A361 is just over the fence from the play area and I did not check if the children could easily get onto the road. As it was so quiet, my two played around the van in the main field.
Chipping Norton has two supermarkets in the town centre, one of which has it’s own car park and is open fairly late. There is a petrol station on the North edge of town, near the B4026/A44 junction, towards Banbury. Also there is a good play park on the A44 just on the western edge of the town.
This is a site I would use again when in the area.
