 The site is only just off the M20 so very easy to find. Can you hear M20? Yes but it is just a back ground hum. Liked this site immediately, two reasons. One the amazing flower display outside reception, two the pleasant friendly greeting. The two wardens were always accommodating and helpful. One day they opened the shop just for us to buy two ice creams.
The facilities were good, one or two minor cosmetics in showers but everything was clean, tidy and worked well. Plenty of hot water and no press buttons. The site recommends some local pubs, we tried The George in Leeds Village, sadly not impressed with food. Also tried China Chef takeaway, again not impressed.
If you can afford to visit Leeds castle it is on the site's doorstep. Many of our other choices seemed to be 45-50mins away which is OK for most people I think.
We liked Scotney castle, although it was a 33° heat wave day. We took our own folding chairs and sheltered in shade when needed.

This site is so easy to find with easy access to main roads which is what we wanted in winter. A very friendly welcome from the wardens. There is a small shop if you need to stock up on groceries, ice creams are available too!
The facilities are spotless with punch code entry. The pitches are spacious and I believe they are all electric hook up. The cost of electricity is included in the pitch price.
We were there in the extremely cold conditions. -3 at night. There were a few issues with the water, not the site's fault and the wardens kept everyone informed whilst trying to resolve the situation,
There is a designated dog walk at the side of the site, not very long in length or very wide but ample.
Quite a variety of takeaways are a short car journey away and I did notice a bus stop directly outside the site, although we did not use it.
As I said it is close to the main road (motorway) there is some road noise and from time to time a plane flies over. But it didn't bother us and we live out in the sticks!
We would definitely stay there again. A really good experience despite the cold weather.

Campsite was nice but I was very disappointed with the dog walking area. It was just an extremely short footpath that took about 3 or 4 minutes to walk along and that was it !
The sign said dogs must be kept on leads and there was only one dog poo bin on the entire campsite. Said dog friendly but I don’t think it was ☹️
There were no other walks for dogs anywhere near the campsite. All in all very disappointed.
Having said that nice to stay there if you haven’t got a dog. Won’t be booking again.

Handy location for visiting Kent, do be warned that accessing the site requires joining/ leaving a very busy dual carriageway (not always easy with a caravan).
The nearest pub and shop are also 1/2 a mile along this road, so only really accessible by car.
Site itself is peaceful, with good size pitches.
Toilets and showers could be cleaner.

Nice site, friendly and welcoming.
Walks all around and bus right outside of you want too.
Shower block great also
Location quite near motorway but cannot hear anything
Really easy to find and so much around there ie moat park, Maidstone etc

Lovely little site, nice warm welcome from Dee, one of the wardens.
Wardens go the extra mile to keep the site spotless and has a fantastic display of flowers.
Despite some of the reviews we found the site to be very peaceful.
Good WiFi and TV signal, nice fully serviced pitch, Good facilities block.
Plenty to see in the surrounding area including Leeds castle and just a short to the coast, we went to Whitstable and Herne Bay.
Shame we only booked for three nights,
Will come back for longer next time.

We over-nighted here on our way down to the Eurotunnel terminal.
Very conveniently placed to the motorway junction.
One downside is that there are no pubs or restaurants within easy walking distance.
Would use again as an overnight stop

We stayed here as we were going to a wedding. The staff were so helpful could not do enough for you. That we're friendly answered any queries we had provided us when asked with a taxi number.
The site was spotlessly clean especially the facilities for showering. They were really well kept. A lovely place very close to Leeds Castle.
Only 20 minute walk into Bearatead which has lovely pubs and restaurants. A nice quiet location great to relax and just kick back.
If you want a nice relaxing place to stay of excellent quality then this is the place. Laundry facilities on site.

We have just returned from this site and I cannot believe this is the same site as the last reviewer. On arrival the staff were friendly & helpful and gave us a choice of empty plots.
The shower / toilet block was always spotlessly clean & warm, as for the radio far from being too loud in there, it was at a pleasant level and made the surroundings feel more comfortable & homely.
The grounds were kept spotless and grass well cut. The staff were really helpful and friendly and always willing to have a chat.
The only downside, and it is only a small one, is you do get some road noise from the nearby M20, which reflects in my marking it down one point in my review scores on location, but after a day we just got used to it.
Would we stay again ? We have already booked another two weeks

A well-kept site convenient for the M20, but that comes with some traffic noise.
You are allocated a pitch even when the site has plenty of room.
When we were there the shop was empty, the radio was permanently on very loudly in the washrooms and the warden was grumpy and couldn't even bring himself to say good morning.
A shame as this used to be a nice friendly site.
