When we stayed the weather was doing its worst with wind, rain, sunshine and rainbows but you make the most of it and we had a great time.
One thing to be aware of is there's little shelter from wind and we did lose our awning as did someone else.
The showers and toilets were warm and clean but no hairdryer.
The launderette was also warm and clean. The Elsan was good just a shame people can't be bothered to hose down after emptying.
Plenty of water points scattered about. We ate in the Bay Cafe several times and the food was delicious especially the breakfast, they had a singer in there on a couple of evenings, the price was very reasonable, the staff so lovely and friendly and your dog will be well catered for with treats and beds of varying sizes.
We went on the West Somerset Railway, very enjoyable, visited Dunster castle, went into Dunster, went into Minehead several times and went to Watchet.
We would definitely stay again.

I have stayed at Hoburne Blue Anchor many times. Hoburne Blue Anchor touring is an area within Blue Anchor which is mainly a static caravan site within Blue Anchor Bay. Blue Anchor bay sits between Minehead and Watchet.
The dog friendly touring field has mainly grass pitches each of which has a hard standing for your tow car. Whilst there is room for awnings. Cars are parked in front of your caravan which blocks an view from the front window.
There are plenty of water/waste points scattered around he field but only one Elson Waste point situated within the toilet /shower/laundry block in the far corner of the field. Whilst the shower block is heated, the door is often left wide open and any heat wasted. All pitches have electric available (10amp). There is a children's play area at the far end of the field.
Included in the pitch fee is free access to the swimming pool, sauna and ?? area. There is an licenced ?? on site which closes around 6pm and outs on occasional entertainment in the main season.
For a pitch fee of £20. 00 per night throughout the season this has always represented good value. However, Hoburne Blue Anchor appears to have changed their pricing strategy for 2026. Prices have increase by around £15. Per pitch to £34 per night! This year I stayed three weeks at a cost of £420. Next year that increases to £714. Typically the price another site was charging. This site does not justify the increase and a CAMC in Minehead, with more pitch room and better facilities, would cost the same.

Nice flat pitches on grass, with a small hard standing for the car.
Good modern clean shower block. There's a pool and a bar/restaurant.
There's a pub a short walk away that does food as well.
The site is right across the road from the sea, but the beach is just mud.
Short drive into Minehead were the big supermarkets are and loads of other shops and bars.

We stayed here for Easter on a rally.
The location could not be better we managed to see everywhere by using buses takes a bit to work it out.
The bus trip to Lynmouth this the best bus experience I have ever been on over Porlock Hill just breathtaking.
The site is well kept and very clean Shower block. The pool is very nice but a bit shallow to swim. Reception staff are very good.
The pitches are very level.

Great site, reasonable fees considering there was an indoor pool for use. Pity I forgot my swimmers!
We arrived late, 21:00 but was already allocated a pitch on the late arrivals board, great service!

Friendly and helpful reception staff. Pitch flat and maintained. Didn’t use facilities closed to us however we were self sufficient so able to stay. Cafe on site was open.
Good location beach across road, no bus route close by walk up hill about a mile to main road to access public transport.
Local pub within walking distance and cafe close too.

What a let down this site was. Been to several hoburne sites and raved about them to other people.
They advertised being dog friendly. There was no dog exercise area on site. Had to use the beach. Got moaned at for playing with my dog outside out tourer off lead catching balls. There where 5 other units on the field away from us.
The website shows a lovely picture of a cafe. The best they could offer was a bacon or sausage bap. That shut at 6 PM. There is no shop to speak of for provisions. The nearest is in minehead 5 miles away.
The other facilities like shower block where excellent. Lots of hot water.
We where so bored we cut our stay short.
Wont be going back there or raving to other people how good Hoburne are

Well kept site, my big niggle is the showers, after paying £25 a night the shower block was freezing cold, when my husband asked the warden why, she said it is because it's getting to the end of the season. And like another reviewer said the shower buttons were in very strange places and didn't stay in longing enough to get wet.
