Absolutely stunning site.
Has everything you need, 2 toilet blocks, shower, lots of bins around.
The site is located on the river ure banks, surrounded by trees. Honestly it is the best site I have been so far.
The whole site is well maintained and the staff is super friendly.
Extremely easy access from the A1, but as stated in the reservation email, used the direction they give you, as if you look for the postcode, it doesn't bring you directly to the site
I will definitely go back
We do not travel with children, but a lot of families were there, children were all playing and seems happy. (I didn't see any playground but honestly I don't think they need one.
We stayed in the mole end, which is very quiet (we did ask for a quiet area), and it is about 7 mins walk to the main reception, but toilet block is barely 4 mins walk.

Went here for Easter. Site was easy to find miles from Ripon. Spacious plots where we stayed-long meadow nobody infront which was nice.
Other areas are like a horseshoe arrangement so check the site map when booking. Showers decent enough but could do with another block.
Only 3 showers to cover the area of the site we were on. For some reason they were getting cleaned approx 11am this happened a few times. No idea why that time when people are trying to use them around that time.
A nice 20mins walk into the village either on the main rd or along the river. 2 pubs and a post office. No super pitches and grass was a tad long but it was Easter to be fair and can be wet but overall a nice site. Expensive I thought. £169 for 4 nights 2 adults only no awning.

Lovely location. Choose your own pitch by the River.
Facilities are really good and there's a small shop at reception and nearby walking distance village with a shop/ post office.

We had a very best camping holiday we've had in years with our blended family of children and grandchildren. Ages ranging from 4 - 64, we blissed out, kids playing, swimming in the river, popping to the on site shop for bits & bobs and a daily ice cream.
We literally didn't leave the site!
This has become one of my favourite sites as it is a beautiful location and the managers have thought of everything.
Thank you so much!

A lovely location on the banks of the River Ure.
A lot of seasonal pitches, but also plenty of spaces for tourers or tents.
Facilities are adequate, but could do with updating.
Pretty villages are within walking distance in both directions, and Ripon is a short drive away.

Fabulous site. It's in a great location by the river Ure with lovely walks also into the village with 2 very nice pubs which are both dog friendly The Black Bull also has a beer garden by the river.
The staff are very helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble 😀 every pitching area was kept great with 2 shower blocks also kept very clean.
There's lots to do within a not too long drive or just relax by the river.
The reception area also houses some minimal essentials Bread, milk, eggs etc.
We're definitely going back.
10/10 from us and thank you for a lovely stay

Lovely site and customer service. On arrival we we’re shown our pitch next to the river.
Toilets clean and showers good. It had been wet before we arrived so a bit concerned about getting stuck but the site must have great drainage.
The site wasn’t full there’s some permanent pitches and touring pitches as well as tents.
It’s near North Stainley, light water valley theme park. There’s a lovely walk up to the village of West Tanfield with two pubs we didn’t visit.
There’s an old tower there which you can climb, and an old burnt out hotel! We visited Masham which wasn’t far.
Shops, market, and a brewery.
Lovely area and site.
Will certainly return.

A friendly welcome to a wonderful site.
David & his wife were very happy to see us & made us welcome!
The facilities were very clean and well maintained throughout the weekend we stayed.
The whole site was very picturesque with a river running round the ‘Island’ we stayed on.
Its local amenities are good with 2 lovely pubs!
This site is a must for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing place to stay!

Wow! Loved it.
The staff were understanding, Friendly and Supportive.
My son and I took our rescue dog for her 1st night camping. It has taken about 4 years to be able to do this due to what our baby girl had been through with previous owners.
Th staff were very accommodating and supported us with our baby.
Luckily all went really well. She loved it.
The quiet, the beach and river walks and meeting people around the site, safely tethered up at all times.
The site is quiet with beautiful scenery and the river running by.
It was a perfect 1st night camping with our nervous dog and I was so pleased to see that all dogs have to be tethered.
It was so nice to wake up outside with the birds singing and nature all around.
A Big Thank You to the staff x

Booking was easy. They are obviously well organized and very helpful.
The site is lovely and every effort has been made to make your stay memorable.
The owners spend a lot of their time maintaining the site, and all facilities are beautifully clean and well maintained.
They are really friendly and cheerful, and keep a well stocked shop for almost anything a camper could need.
We will definitely come back and also recommend it.

Lovely site next to the river Ure, the welcome from everyone was lovely, friendly and the wardens kept the toilets clean every 2 hours while we were there.
It was very busy but not at all noisy at night and you can walk to the local pub, let the dogs off lead near the river if you walk out of the gates and we visited Masham to sample the beer at black sheep brewery which is only 5 miles away.
We stayed with friends in the island as they have a tent so it was nice to be able to pitch next to each other.
Lots of families enjoying the river with canoes, paddle boards etc wished we were staying longer and will certainly return soon.
Don’t think there was a play park for the children which would be a bonus if you had younger children.
Very handy for Ripon and light water Valley is very close by

Just got back from 3 nights on this lovely campsite
We were met by one of the owners who directed us to the area we had chosen and we picked our own pitch. It’s a large campsite with different named areas to pick from.
The lady we met was very friendly and helpful during our stay we didn’t meet the other owner as he was busy on the site.
There are also 2 wardens on site who do a really good job of keeping the place clean and tidy.
They were backwards and forwards to the 2 toilet blocks and doing other housekeeping jobs, they never stopped.
Site was busy over the weekend mainly with families and tents. It was good seeing kids playing around in the river.
Although busy the nights and mornings were quiet
Icing on the cake for me was a cricket ground between the site and main road. There was a league game on Saturday afternoon and the bar was open
Will definitely be back

Fantastic location, our pitch was in the riverside section, overlooking the river only a few yards away.
Footpaths lead direct from the site.
Two pubs in the village just half an hour walk away.
Useful shop on site with all essentials and more.
Laundry facilities available and a book/dvd exchange is also available.
Facilities immaculate though only two showers in both male and female areas in the block nearest to our pitch.
There is another facilities block further along the site but did not check them out.
