We originally booked this site as a retired couple but changed our plans and brought our 9 year old granddaughter with us.
What a fantastic site for us alone or for those with children. The facilities are excellent, great play area for children and very well maintained.
Our son and family stayed in one of the cottage’s owned by the same company and they were very pleased with it. We were able to walk through the woods along a footpath from the caravan site to their cottage.
The coast is a few minutes drive away.
We took a look at the adults only site which is a part of the same company and again it looked a fantastic site.
Really loved staying here.

So pleased we found this site. On arrival we had a friendly welcome. As we were the only ones staying on site we had a choice of pitch.
Electric hook up was on a meter we used £2 over the 3 nights. Facilities were very basic but clean, consisiting of a toilet and handbasin.
There is a lovely woodland walk and a walk around a very scenic fishing lake that is protected by an electric fence to keep otters and other predators out.
The site overlooks a horse paddock with a friendy Mister Ed and a couple of elderly sheep.
Wifi signal is very strong we had no problems connecting to the internet.
We would book a stay here again as we had a very peaceful stay.

A great site - we turned up a few days after torrential rain and the ground was boggy.
The owner was towing people around with his pick-up and some folk had to be moved to an emergency pitch (just bear in mind).
The hardstanding pitches were good, but varying in size, worth checking which pitch you have been allocated beforehand.
The food vans everyday throughout easter were great - a good mix of sweet and savoury.
The kids loved the play park and feeding the goats.

Great camp site very spacious. Just wished they had checked the pitch first as I was picking up dog mess left on the pitch.
Would consider coming here again.

Lovely peaceful site, set in the woods, good toilet/shower facilities, always spotlessly clean.
Lovely friendly and very helpful owners and staff. Obviously it was very quiet during beginning of March, have stayed here many times over the years during summer too.
Small shop, great play area for children and lovely little fishing lake.
Thoroughly recommend this site.

What a great site, big pitches giving privacy yet still open to all. Great facilities and the staff were wonderful.
Lots to see and do with walks around the area to be found, pubs and a cafe aren’t that far away but only for able bodied and fairly fit people.
We were there with the Hymer Owners Group so had 23 pitches, we were all looked after well.

Well signposted, easy to find. On arrival informed of protocol and amenities. Well spread out and spacious pitches with privacy hedges all round, looked full of potential for a good break.
Shop selling all the basic groceries, on site snack van, £5 for a hog roast cob but well worth it, grassed area and play area for the kids, there`s 2 toilet blocks, really nice presented but the gents only have 2 toilets, 2 showers, 3 urinals, 4 sinks and 1 hand drier so for the amount they have to serve there is some queues.
Unfortunately for me it goes down hill from here, children screaming and dogs barking from 6. 30am and then up to 10. 30 at night as well as music playing. I chose the site mainly for fishing, what a disappointment this was as only a few pegs to fish from due to being full of canadian weed (told by a regular this has been getting worse every year for past 8 years)
Children roaming round unsupervised even riding bikes on the path inside the fenced off pond !, even a resident cormorant enjoying some fish.
Whilst packing up stood in dog muck at back of my van where someone had their dog off the lead the night before.
In summary a really picturesque site but has its major shortfalls

Stayed for a week with family in a touring caravan. The site is situated of the main road which means all trips out are by vehicle with no public transport readily available. Upon checking in, our payment made, we were directed to the pitch from reception. We did not receive any receipt for the payment or any information leaflet about the site. We found this later was at reception. For the amount of pitches plus the camp anywhere area, we found the toilet and shower facilities totally inadequate. As well as being overwhelmed by the number of people using them, the walls ceiling and floors were always damp. The site is described on its website as five star which would be pushing it because the two lolly sticks and plastic bottle top resided in the waste water drain for a week. A tap on the end of plastic hose screwed to a fence post in the grass was our water supply. Cleaning of the facilities was below par. Some tents on the non electric area were pitched so close the guy ropes were interlocking, surely this contravenes the fire break rules. If you are going to state you are a five star site then provide the surroundings most people would expect not a site that has seen better days. Yes we did enjoy our campfire in the evenings and the company of our family. Would we return? Definitely not.

This was our third visit to Deers Glade, but our first on a non electric pitch. When we arrived we went in and paid for our pitch in cash, and were vaguely pointed in the direction of the non electric area and told to pitch anywhere. We eventually worked out where the non electric area was (which was quite small) and began pitching. One of the girls from reception came running up to us and shouted across the field “can you come back and pay please, you haven't Paid!” My wife went back and told them we paid cash and the girl that took the money from us said “are you sure?” she didn’t remember us paying her, eventually after much discussion she remembered that she hadn’t updated the computer. Not good. The non electric field was small for the number of tents and cars on it, I parked in the glampers car park, which got me into trouble with one of the glampers. We also had problems with some of the other guests using the camping field to play frisbee, football and tennis every night. As well as hitting my daughter in the head while we sat eating tea, they broke one of my tent poles. (£50 to replace) I mentioned the ball games to one of the ground staff, but nothing was done. While we were out on the last two days someone messed about with our gas cylinder as well, not the campsites fault, but first time ever had that problem. The facilities were acceptable but not as well tended and cleaned as they used to be.

This was our first visit here, very few people on site, but never is early February. Was concerned as we drove up, as we passed a dead deer just on the turning into the site, we informed the man who booked us in and said he will inform someone, which he did as it was gone hours later. A lovely site, the toilet's and showers are ok, do the job, but nothing special. They are rebuilding the kids play area when we were there, so a little noise during the day from tractors and machines, but didn't disrupt us much. We rarely visit a site twice, but would like to go again during the warmer months.

Lovely site in a good location. Well spaced, good sized pitches around a central play area. Nice service and good basic shop in reception. Excellent shower blocks with handy underfloor heating and piping hot showers, especially welcome at the end of October. Had a great meal at the Banningham Crown about 4 miles away.

We stayed here for 14 nights in August this year. The site is nice, very well laid out with nice hedges between pitches.
We got off to a bad start though – the pitch we booked (last November) had another tent on it! I went back to reception to ask them to help. They checked their computer and said there shouldn’t be anyone there so came back with me to see what was happening. It turns out the people on it arrived late the previous evening and should have gone on pitch 57 not 55! They said they were told to go on 55 but when they checked their email it clearly said 57. They had to move the whole tent as they were only staying one night and their pitch (57) was booked out the following day with somebody else. So we got off to a late start at setting up – thank goodness we have a Pennine Folding Camper that doesn’t take long to set up! We were settled in time for the Hog Roast which was lovely.
The site is a nice base for seeing Norfolk. We visited Pensthorpe Nature Reserve one day (40 minutes), The Muckleburgh Collection (30 minutes) and the Royal Norfolk Showground (30 minutes) where Truckfest was on. We also visited Sherringham, Cromer and North Walsham amongst others.
The site rules clearly state – please keep noise to a minimum between 9pm and 11pm and absolute quiet between 11pm and 7am. If you feel it’s just part of being on holiday to be very loud from 9pm till 11. 30pm (or later) and it’s ok to hold a loud conversation with your neighbours at 6am then this is the site for you! If you feel this is a bit much (or perhaps you would prefer your children to sleep a bit) then maybe you would prefer somewhere else. We did ask reception if they could have a word but it didn’t seem to do much good.
The showers were good but not enough of them! Just 4 showers for 130 pitches. No push buttons though and you could choose your own temperature. The heads move too! There was nearly always a queue in the mornings. Afternoons were quiet though. Also the sinks were odd – the push button taps weren’t quite close enough to the basins so there was water all over the tops.
I think a few signs would be a good idea - it wasn't always obvious where some of the pitches were. 31 seemed to be an afterthought and was stuck next to 46 for some reason and I never worked out where 39 was! The road around the site is one way but a lot of people didn't seem to realise - which was fun when they went round the bend by the toilet block and came face to face with a car going the correct way! Most of the turnings had signs but maybe some had fallen off?
Oh, if you like to check your phone now and again while you are on the campsite – this site is not for you either. There is NO Vodafone signal and most other phones seem to have the same problem. You could always see people wandering around, looking at their phone then at the sky! Staff use EE but it doesn’t seem to work for everyone. Makes for a nice, peaceful holiday though – till you leave the site for the day and all the messages ping though at once! There is a free wifi service on the site but it is terribly slow and drops out regularly (probably because everyone is on it!).
Overall, we wouldn’t go back as it was just not for us (we rarely visit a campsite twice anyway).

Stayed for 1 week on Muntjac Meadow. As first time campers and without electricity we were a bit worried. It was fantastic! The toilet and washing up facilities were ample. The evening camp fire was a lovely touch and we enjoyed toasting marshmallows. My children aged 12, 11 and 4 yrs had an amazing time playing in the woods, building dens with their new friends. It felt totally safe for them to play. You can also use the facilities on Deers Glade main site but apart from the odd visit to the shop we didn't have the need. Highly recommend and we will be returning.

Been several times before but shan't be returning after this visit.
There were far too many tents where our caravan was pitched, consequently cars weren't parked in the pitch spaces due to the size of the tents and their guy ropes taking up so much space. We felt surrounded by cars at one point and in a parking lot.
Main issue for not returning was the noise, screaming toddlers in tents are heard all over the site and shouting parents didn't help.
At 6:30 on Sunday morning the tents were packing up, shouting across to one another, shouting to their children at the play area and constantly banging their car doors as they packed things inside.
Showers were ok but only 2 showers, granted there were 2 toilet blocks but facilities were inadequate for the number of people staying.
During the week during term time the site is very peaceful but the weekenders in tents spoil it for everyone else.
