Fantastic setting. Electric hook up is handy. Very easy access to the beach.
The toilet block is basic though, shower is £1 for 3mins and it takes a few mins to warm up. Nowhere to set clothes. Only 2 hooks for 2 showers.
Not much communication from the site managers, as the site is run by volunteers. They do leave the arrangements posted in the office window though. When you do speak to someone they are very helpful.

The most beautiful beach in the world! Friendly helpful staff.
Plenty of toilets, dishwashing facilities, showers are a bit temperamental but adequate.
Excellent food truck and sauna!

Rugged campsite and we had a beautiful spot parked overlooking Reef Beach.
Facilities adequate although not very modern. Would benefit more if showers had a door rather than a shower curtain between communal area and shower.

Fabulously situated overlooking the beach. Showers £1 for 3 minutes - lovely and hot and good pressure. Bit awkward since nowhere to leave clothes or towel, so have to wrap shower curtain around yourself and lean out in corridor, but not a big deal for us.
Fin very helpful - could charge bike battery when needed.
Loved exploring the peninsula on foot and bike - even had the chance to canoe out to the islands nearby! Lovely cake Honesty Box at Reef.
Had 40 - 50 mph winds, rain and glorious sunshine in the 5 days we stayed.

The campsite is to an amazing beach. Location is first class.
Facilities are a little tired and not enough for the number of gusts on the site.
Many families enjoying the environment and the direct access to the beach

The approach road was a bit 'interesting' but the location was great, right on the beach. A fairly simple site but facilities were clean.
There wasn't anyone around when we arrived but we managed to find a note in the window with our name and pitch number, and later on someone arrived so we could pay them.
There was a food truck just outside the site that was serving into the evening, which was great if you wanted a night off.

Beautiful site on the edge of gorgeous Reef beach, absolutely stunning location.
We camped in a tent spot protected from the wind, and the site had all we needed and ready access to the beach.
Good facilities and lovely area to explore.
No shops nearby (not surprising given location), just a food van which operated til about 6pm some evenings.

A wonderful location right on the sandunes of the fabulous beach. This is a community run campsite, so not permanently staffed. Pitches allocated before arrival.
We had EHU and a sheltered pitch. There are 2 good wash up/laundry sinks with plenty of hot water. 2 female, 2 male toilets and showers. £1 for a 3 minutes, not quite long enough!
The access to the site is narrow and hilly single track but pmenty of passing places.
Great community shop at Uig about 5 miles away.
Highly recommend this area for a peaceful tranquil stay with beautiful beaches and views.

Absolutely fabulous location - the best of our two-week trip from Peaks to Outer Hebrides. Stunning beach, wonderful views, loads of walks.
Facilities a bit basic - 3min shower for £1, and not much room for clothes and changing etc - but little to complain about otherwise. Being pitched amongst a large family group wouldn’t have been my first choice - but hey ho.
I’d still go back in a heartbeat. And the Raider Trailer selling veg burgers and chips was very welcome on our first night!

Peaceful and beautiful spot to camp right beside a stunning beach. On site staff were incredibly accommodating to sort out the perfect pitch for us on arrival. Nothing was too much trouble. Also advised us on the best times/days to kayak from the bay. We didn’t want to leave! 😢
The local shop is amazing and only a few mins drive away. Showers and loos are old and basic but clean. Some unisex, some not. If you like formal sites with all the trimmings, this isn’t the place for you.
Take plenty of pound coins for the showers as you don’t get long. Avoid the sea front spots on the eastern/right hand side if you prefer quieter evenings. Be prepared for strong winds and intermittent downpours!

We were delighted to find ourselves overlooking a stunning beach after the winding road to get there.
What a view from the clifftop pitches! We didn't have the best weather during our visit, but managed a couple of good walks from the site (and witnessed lots of brave people swimming in the sea).
The facilities are fairly basic, but all clean and in working order.
A great couple of days in this fairly remote part of Lewis.

The site is in a superb location right next to a beautiful unspoilt beach.
Our pitch was sheltered from the sea breeze.
Needed two cables to reach the hook up point but overall very good.

This campsite goes by several names including Kneep campsite and Traigh Na Beirigh. It is located right next to a wonderful white sandy beach.
The pitches are not level and perhaps when busy a bit close together but the one night we stayed it was fine. There is water and black waste but no grey waste. I assume like a lot of these places, as the site is on sand you drop the grey waste into the sand. We didn’t need to.
The shower block is small. Two showers and two toilets for women and the same for men. Not the ideal layout with only a curtain and right opposite the door.
However, at the end of the block is a separate toilet and shower on either side which is perfect. The showers require a £1 coin but are a generous 3 minutes for a pound.
It was extremely windy when we stayed so our choice of pitch overlooking the sea/beach was probably not the best choice but stunning all the same.
There are some with EHU but we didn’t need it. They are currently moving the booking process online including card payment in advance.

Well maintained community run site right by an absolutely stunning beach. Facilities basic but adequate and clean.
Access from the main road is challenging (especially towing a caravan) but we'll worth the effort.
Well stocked community run shop 5 miles away in Uig. £30 a night with EHU very reasonable.

Beautiful setting and lovely feel to the site.
Showers a bit iffy, but definitely outweighed by the setting.
Beautiful beach, countryside and wildlife
