Well what can I really say!
What a real little gem this ite is,
Arrived a bit late on the Friday evening staff still there seeing to every bodies needs and booking in.
The site is so well looked after and such a nice place to relax, The shower blocks are beautifully kept and well looked after the grounds are well maintained and the grass is kept short.
It was a pleasure to get up on the saturday morning and see children playing and I mean playing no social media but football and cricket and all getting along.
This was our second stay at Scratby Hall and is not goingnto be our last as booked for a week at the end of August.
Looking forward to seeing the lovely Elaine and her husband John who both work there and are so welcoming and friendly again.
So much to do within the area and the beaches at Hemsby and Great Yarmouth are lovely for a good stroll early morning or in the evening. Many thanks Janice & Darren

Arrived for a weeks camping in a large tent with ehu.
Positives
Well kept clean and tidy site, with heated pool within its own secluded area. A family run small to medium site. With a no noise after 11pm which everybody mostly followed.
Great shop for any shortfall items needed. Also benefit of covered in potwash area and multiple toilets and showers. Area is flat good for campers, caravans and tents.
Only very small negative: well used soap bars in both mens and ladies. Not particularly hygenic. Just needs soap dispensers.
Would recommend for families, and adults only

Great site.
Staff were helpful and polite. We had a tent and were told to pitch anywhere in the overflow field. This had flat clean pitches with well looked after grass. There was shade If required and an area for ball games at one end, so that stray balls were not flying around.
The shower blocks were cleaned around three times a day. Sometimes they got a bit grassy but this was always cleaned. I guess during the busy times it's inevitable that some grass is brought in from the site. The key system was a bit odd but worked ok. There must be a reason for it but we were not bothered too much so didn't ask.
The pool was lovely and clean, very busy indeed with a life guard at all times oh and it was heated. A real little gem and very private behind a high hedge.
The only downside was the bird noise. Wow by 7. 30 am if you are not up you soon will be. Not sure what they were but there was hundreds of them. Crows or something. At night they came in and that was a surreal show and noise for ten mins but in the morning the noise really builds. There was also some noise from the road which was a shame in the night. It's only a single carriageway local road but the noise did carry.
These are not really issues with the site and it's running so I guess unfair to judge it on the natural beasties surrounding the site.
The shop was clean and well stocked with again very friendly helpful staff.
The main field was busy but not overly noisy with people adhering to the 10pm keep it down rule and silence by 11. Just a shame the birds were so unruley!
All in all a super little site and at a very reasonable price.
We were there for 3 nights and could have easily stayed longer.

We have just come back from a half term break at Scratby Hall Caravan Park. We were really impressed with the site. It was lovely and quiet, but the facilities were more than adequate for the size of the site.
It's in a great location to explore the Norfolk coast. The people who run the site are very friendly and helpful.
We loved it and are hoping to get a good spell of weather in the summer holidays to go back for a week.

Site location good and dog walk excellent.
That's the good stuff over! We turned up at 10 minutes to 12 (check in time is 12) and were told to leave and come back in 15 minutes. Advised to find somewhere to park on local housing estate. Would have been ok if camping but we were towing 26 foot caravans and there were two units travelling together so not acceptable at all. By the time we had driven around the site to leave it was after 12 anyway so technically we were no longer early. Seemed a bit jobsworth and petty to try and prove a point. After a five and a half hour journey not very good.
A very weak apology when we finally arrived again and the excuse being that the pitch had to be prepared. This entailed mowing the grass - fine, but also chucking loose sand down onto the pitch which was then walked into the caravan for the rest of the holiday by ourselves and the dogs. (who have no option to take their shoes off)
Toilets ok, but a nuisance to have to take the key.
Waste water had to flow uphill so not very well thought out.
Doubt we will be back to this site, but the area overall is lovely. I am already looking for alternative sites close by. We have paid similar prices for much better sites elsewhere. Overall disappointing.
Didn't make use of swimming pool but good for those with children.

Lovely campsite with flat grassed pitches. Plenty of room for awnings, wind-breaks and parking.
A short drive to the sea front of nearby Scratby and Hemsby. The Swimming pool was great for the kids and great walks for those with dogs in the surrounding fields.
Very friendly staff and well maintained pitches and facilities. The on-site shop was reasonably priced and stocked all the essentials plus cheap ice-creams for the kids which was a bonus.
My only criticism is that the disabled shower block could do with an update. Being a wheelchair user I would have preferred a fixed chair in the shower itself. I Would recommend this site.

Had a lovely week here in late July/early August. Elaine and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It's a small site with very generous grass pitches, toilets and showers are cleaned regularly, any mess was caused by unsupervised kids and cleaned up quickly.
However parents - if your kids are not old enough to know to wash their hands after using the toilet, you should take them yourselves! There is a useful shop on site with essentials and a lovely area with heated outdoor pool and a playground.
There were a few larger groups of families/friends camping together but there was never any loud noise or disturbances (no noise after 11 is the rule). We cycled to the Broads which was lovely and an easy cycle through some gorgeous villages.
There are also nice walks from the back of the site through nice countryside. Just don't bother with Great Yarmouth which was like Blackpool's sad sister.

Our first visit here. We felt so comfortable. On arrival, we were shown our pitch, where the shop, laundry, toilet and shower blocks were, by two lovely ladies. All facilities are spotlessly clean. There is a heated pool with lifeguard, and a children's playground.
If its a quiet holiday you want, then this is the place for you.
We have booked for two weeks next year. Can't wait.

Spent a great week here in may half term, we could see our children playing easily thanks to the openness of the site.
Great location for local attractions and an easy walk into nearby village to local pub and chip shop.

Just got back from a bank holiday stay.
This site is lovely, although small, it is very very friendly and welcoming.
The children always find other children to play with and the lady that runs it is always on hand for advice and help.
It is very very clean and well maintained.
Would strongly recommend this site

Stayed over may bank holiday 2 nights on a electric pitch.
Arrived early about 8. 30am and was told about the site, where everything was. The staff were very pleasant. When I booked I was told we needed a super pitch but this was not the case, other people had much bigger tents than us on a normal large pitch which they still had lots of room mine was too large I could have put tent, gazebo and 2 cars on it.
The toilet and wash rooms were very well kept the washing up area was clean.
The shop has all the basic stuff you might need and at very reasonable prices. There is a bigger shop walking distance from site to get beer and other essentials.
This is our second stay at this site. It is a good quit site for a short stay.
It has the potential to be a great site, need to open the swimming pool more, it only opens for about 1 month in August. Also could do with a little club house with bar and a couple of arcade machines, could make a lot of money from them. It had a broken one in Landry room.
By any means I'm not saying this is a bad site
I wouldn't stay again because there is not enough to entertain me or the children. The pool was my main issue
Kind Regards
Mark

Just got back from a week at this campsite.
Site itself is good, pitches are roomy and it's handy for the Broads and Yarmouth. Site was very clean and well looked after.
On the down side the on site shop was hardly open, the shower blocks were totally void of any heating and the showers aren't great.
Finally don't bother paying for the wifi it's hit and miss all of the time.

We have just returned from a short midweek stay at scratby hall. The site is very well kept and although quite small we liked it as our son could go to the park and play field with his friends confidently without us having to worry. The bonus of a pool in the lovely hot weather we had was enjoyed by all everyday. We usually go off site where ever we stay but we enjoyed lazing around the pool and tent.
It's a nice central site with lots of major towns within easy reach, great Yarmouth, gorleston etc. We also loved the scratby beach although said 15min walk id say more like 30mins especially with children. The llamas were a treat to visit on the way. I would highly recommend this site to families and couples. There was a small shop on site but we never had the need to use it. Now for a couple of gripes we had.
Having a key for the toilet block was a pain, especially if our son was off playing needed the loo had to run back get the key then run back to the block. Having to share it when there was male and female in our group was a pain. The block themselves I found one of the worst we have had. Only a hook on the back of the door to the showers which was impossible to hang all your clothes, towel, toiletries. Impossible to get dressed in the cubicle and found we were getting dressed in the toilet cubicle. The toilets themselves weren't very clean whenever we went in, weatger it be early morning, midday or evening. A lot of that down to fellow campers not flushing! !but also seeing the same cobwebs etc in the same places for 4 days.
The shower block really does need addressing compared to other sites we have stayed on it was quite poor. We managed for a few days but it would of drove me mad if we were there for a wk plus.

First time to this campsite\area and what a campsite we have found upon arrival we were greeted with a smile and some useful info a £5 deposit is needed for key to toilet blocks
Pitches are huge we had plenty of room for what we needed
The site itself is well looked after the grass was the softest I have ever walked on down side is the grass is cut daily but not collected by mower so is walked into caravan and also the toilet block.
The toilet block is cleaned very early in the morning and by 8am the grass is everywhere but during the day is swept up
Never had to queue for loos or showers there are a number of loos but not many showers the showers do let the site down alittle bit they are cramped not seat only two hooks on the back of door for your bits and bobs push button for the water which would only last 10 seconds(when you get shampoo in your eyes 10seconds isint much)I did find the water alittle to hot at time
The site has a great park for kids and a ball area also a dog walk just over the road which my dog loved
The pool is a great bonus on a hot day it can get busy so need to time it right pool hours where 10am till 1 and 2 till 5 also always had a life guard on duty which was a nice touch also pool opens when rains
A 20 mins walk is a dog friendly beach, café, pub and a great bakery
The on site shop is stocked with everything you need again friendly staff
We stayed for 2 weeks and saw lots of campers that come year after year everyone was so friendly and welcoming says something when someone has been going for over 15 years
Cant wait to come next year
We had such a good time we booked again for next year before we left and even got to choose are pitch

Lovely site with friendly owners. Nice play park and pool for the kids. Overall well maintained, however the need for a key to the blocks can be a pain at times, a number code might be better.
Local area is nice. Yarmouth for my taste is nicer after 6pm when it's less manic. Very relaxing albeit bust site.
