We are a party of 4 adults and 2 children.

Visited scratby hall for the first time after reading good reviews on here. We travelled 200 miles to find we had left tent poles at home, owner was very helpful and let us leave our trailer in a safe place on site whilst my husband drove home to get the poles. We arrived back the following day, pitched our tent. We were in the top field and near to the toilet/shower blocks and also the kids play area and football play area.

Toilet/shower blocks were cleaned regulary, also the field was maintained. To access the toilets you needed a key which you leave a deposit for, this didn't cause us a problem. Well equiped small on site shop, prices very reasonable. Heated swimming pool was a bonus but did get busy. Very quiet site no noise rule after 11pm which everyone adhered to. Never had to queue for a shower and we visited over a bank holiday when site was full.

The one thing that was a bit of a juggle was the size of shower cubicles, not much room for belongings and to get dried, also I feel the shower/toilet blocks could do with separate cubicles with sinks in so you could just have a wash rather than a shower if you just wanted to freshen up.

Site close for beach about a ten minute walk. Hemsby 5 minute drive away which we visited once, and a 10 minute drive to Great Yarmouth.

Overall we were very pleased with this site, one of the best we have visited. We cannot thank the owner enough for helping us out, the owner was always about tending to the site. Highly recommend and we will definitely be going back.

Very good site and loads of space between units. Would appear to of had a change of owner over the last few years as it now seems to be run by Caroline who also lives on site.

We were placed on the overflow field and able to pitch anywhere except the 2 electric pitches which were occupied, one being occupied by a massive tent which would not look out of place as a refugee shelter which appeared to have family of 7 living in it, our small gelert seemed to be dwarfed by it. When we saw the family and kids who seemed to be aged from 3 to 15 we did think that the silence would be broken but must say that apart from the odd baby cry or sisterly quarrel they were very quiet.

Play equipment very good if aged 2-12 but not a lot for older teenagers, though they did seem to be kept amused by pinching sugar beet from the field opposite and leaving most of their quarry as a present in the morning.

Overall the site is very well run with a cracking shop and pool but the pressure in the showers let's it down along with the grass.

We had booked into flamingo land for 2 weeks but after 8 days we left and as we had been to scratby hall a few years ago and enjoyed it so much I phoned in the morning and they managed to fit us in

we didn't get there till after 8 at night was told where to pitch which was a massive.

We had a great time, your made to feel very welcomed. The lady who owns the park remembered us.

The camp is very clean and well looked after they give you loads of leaflets of things to see and do, also a black sack for your rubbish and told if you need more to go back.

I would recommend it to everyone its a lovely camp and will go again

Last minute booking for a couple of nights, it was a pleasure to stay at Scratby Hall, nice clean loos and showers and a very well kept site.

Nice and quite not only in the evening but also didn't get too loud to early to allow for a nice lay in in the morning.

Locations is very good not to far from the Broads and Great Yarmouth and the lovely beaches along the coast line.

We are looking forward to returning this time with the family.

Very nice, clean and level site with good pitch sizes all on grass. Electric pitches are around the outside with non electric pitches in the middle.

The staff in both the reception and the small but well stocked shop are very friendly and helpful.

Plenty of showers although the cubicles are a bit small when you close the shower curtain.

Quiet time starts at 10pm and the whole site fell silent by 11pm so ideal for families with younger children.

Good location for Great Yarmouth and the Broads

Just returned from a fantastic few days at this park. Outdoor pool area is clean, pool was warm and has a life guard on duty. Pool does get busy though! Site is very well maintained and kept clean & tidy.

Play area for kids is lovely as were the staff throughout our stay. There is a well stocked shop on site which is very well priced and comparable to most supermarket prices.

There is also a launderette which we didn't use but looked up to same standard as everything else. The toilets/showers and washing up room were cleaned regularly.

We'll definitely stay again. Overall a very well serviced park providing excellent value for money.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Went in July school holls because it was the cheapest site for us in great Yarmouth and it was well worth it. Only 5/10 mins away from the town centre and a couple of mins from the stadium.

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, as were the on site shop people. The site owner, Caroline, was always litter picking, grass cutting and checking up on things.

The shop's prices are extremely reasonable and they have toys, frozen, fresh foods and everything else you would need. The shop opens 8-8 and the reception til 9.

The free, lifeguarded pool is of a decent size and surrounded by a huge high hedge for privacy. There is space round to sun bathe and a few sunbeds are there.

The small wooden climbing frame, which is suitable for, in my opinion children up to age 12, is also enclosed by a hedge. The site could do with something for teenagers as we found they just wandered around in groups during the evenings, as the site is down a farm lane.

The toilets are clean, with plenty of stalls and showers. You pay £5 deposit for the toilet key. The site itself is level and beautifully kept. Dogs are free and although you can't exercise them on site, there are 2 huge farmers fields in which to walk them, as well as other lanes.

I have 3 children and we played badminton around our van, which we bought from the shop, without annoying anyone else, but there is a ball area behind the toilet block.

There was quite a few non electric pitches, which were empty and this was a bit annoying because we asked if we could stay an extra night on our electric pitch and was told they were full.

The gate is not closed at night but we never had any problems and everyone followed the 10 pm settling down rule and 11 pm no noise rule, which was great for my young children, although you will inevitably get the early morning tent people noise!

My partner and I (along with our border collie) stayed here for three nights in our tent last week and had a fabulous time. The site is very clean and well maintained.

The showers/toilets are cleaned regularly and they have plenty of room and hot water. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the beach is only approx 10 mins walk away which is always a bonus.

We will definitely be visiting again

We found this site lovely and the staff very very helpful as we booked and then phoned to see if we could come that night and they were more than welcome to accommodate us, even though we arrived after the office had closed they left envelopes for us with our pitch instructions, keys for the toilet blocks and welcoming hand written letter.

The shop was well stocked and the guy that ran it was very chatty and lovely. The clothes washing area was clean although we never used it, and the washing up area was always empty and plenty of hot water. The showers and toilets were pretty much always clean as they were regularly cutting the grass and the owners were always trying to keep on top of it and cleaning it away.

The playground was good our daughter loved watching the wild rabbits playing in it. They have a pool on site but it is only open certain times of the year and was not open when we went.

Lovely walks to the nearby village very scenic places. Hemsby was only a short drive away full of arcades and amusements, pubs and shops to keep everyone amused.

Although it is on a road there wasn't much noise from the traffic, the main noise we heard was from the birds every morning in the fields opposite.

During our stay it was a very quiet and relaxed campsite and would definitely go there again for the peace and tranquillity. Quite easy to find just off the main road into Hemsby.

Value for money seeing as we booked on whim and then increased our stay from a weekend to a week.

Great site and good value for money, grass well kept, staff very helpful, site shop was reasonable on price as well, nice and quiet in the evenings.

The toilets were well maintained but did get grass cuttings in when the site was wet. The site is well situated to get out to the beach and broards being just out of town, good chippy's close by and Tesco in Caister.

We used the site wi-fi which was reasonable in price compared to some, but then others can be free also.

As we tend to go around the North of Yarmouth the site is well suited for our needs, only went into Yarmouth once.

Just returned from 6 nights at Scratby Hall. We had one of their 'super pitches' which have 16amp EHU, water, waste and even a tv point right on your pitch. The pitch was huge and our Gelert Horizon 10 with side porch fitted perfectly.

The grass is kept beautifully. I'd be pleased to have my lawn looking like the grass here! We even had room for our trailer and to park the car.

The staff in the reception are very friendly and welcoming with lots of local info if you need it. They even give you a large black bin bag for your rubbish (even though we always have our own).

The main site is set as a ring with pitches around the outside of the ring and non-ehu in the middle. It wasn't too busy when we there with around a dozen or so mostly caravans but there was a trailer tent and a couple of camper vans.

The toilet and showers are plentiful and you pay a £5 deposit on arrival for a key. You can only get into the toilet/shower block with this key. They were mostly clean and there was plenty of hot water. Watch the shower for the first few seconds as it's freezing cold! The hot water in the sinks is very hot so be careful. The showers are the push button type with each push lasting about 30 seconds.

There's a washing up room with 6 places to wash up. The taps are push type and again, the hot water is very hot.

There's a very nice children's play area but as we're in our 40's we didn't use it and our 16 year old daughter wasn't interested too much either!

There's a couple of bridle ways right next to the site for dog walking.

The pool is only open during july/august and we really could've done with it this week, the sun was out and temps were up in the high 20s.

My only gripe, and it's very minor, is when the grass is cut it isn't collected. This means grass cuttings in the tent, the car and the toilets.

We will be going to back to Scratby Hall in the very near future.

We are newbies to camping and chose a site nr Yarmouth as my parents used to live near there.

We had visited the site the first weekend in August and enjoyed it so much that we rebooked for bank holiday weekend.

The staff in the site office were very welcoming and a font of information.

We were allocated the rally field both occasions and there was plenty of space, to pitch tent and allow the children to be free.

The toilet blocks were serviceable and water was hot whenever we went for showers, they were cleaned a cpl of times a day, but there were occasions when they were a little messy, access was by key only which helped a little as kids could not just run wild in toilets.

Loved the fact that quiet time was at 10pm and most people adhered to this, with all kids in tents by then, no noise after 11 was good too although we did stay in tent and play card games :)

Would def revisit again for a weekend

We loved our holiday here, great location to be getting out and about around Norfolk.

We had a good sized pitch that was well maintained. The shop on site is really good value for money, certainly saves you from going off site to get basics.

Pool was well maintained and the beach is about a 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive away. We went to the beach at Winterton, the pub also in the village is excellent value for money.

If there was one criticism for the site it is the height of the shower heads in the ladies, you're ok if you are 6ft tall.

We would definitely visit the site again.

Great site for a relaxing family holiday. Loved the rally field where we could pitch where we liked. Really helpful and friendly staff on site. Kids loved the pool. Well stocked shop with great hot chocolate!Toilets and showers were great on the first field but not as good on the rally field (not as many showers and the cubicles were smaller). We ended up using the 1st ones which wasn't a problem. Really close to great yarmouth and a lovely beach. Kids loved the play area and there was also an area set aside for ball games. We liked the fact there was a quiet time at 11pm, so no noisy people coming back to the site at midnight and waking us. This is the 1st time weve been camping for a week (we ended up extending as it was so nice)as we only usually manage 3 or 4 nights. We will definitely come back here again. Great site!

My family and I have just returned from a five night stay in a tent in august. The site is fantastic value for money, cost us 17 pound a night as where further in Yarmouth wanted 45 a night. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the swimming pool is great, warm and safe with a lifeguard. The toilets. /shower etc were very clean. Hair dryers are free to use, just have to borrow them from reception. The shop has every thing from food to tv leads. The site is very well looked after with big pitches and also quiet. The only down side is the kids play area could have more and showers stop every 30 seconds. The beach is a ten minute walk away and is great, there's a bus bus stop nearby and only cost six pound family return ticket. Hemsby is just up the road. Overall a great site well worth going to.
