Had a lovely few days here and would definitely return.
Such a lovely site in a fab location, facilities were immaculate and the little honesty shop had everything you could possibly think of!
The pitches were spacious and we could let the kids run around the field and the park but still see them which meant we could actually relax as well!
Some lovely walks from the site down to the river and the waterfalls and a short drive into Barnard castle to the nearest shops /supermarket.

Lovely little family site in a great location for exploring outdoors.
Castle, waterfall, picnic areas and wild swimming within ten minutes walk. Pitches are a good size, and lots of space on camping field.
Facilities, loos/shower/washing up area/bins and waste disposal all clean and well kept. Beautiful views over the Pennines.
Lovely little shop, children's play area and dogs on leads welcome, fire pits for rent, and a friendly welcome. Enjoyed the chickens and rabbits running around.
Would definitely go back. Easy to find off the A66 ( there is a hum of traffic in the background but it didn't spoil the experience). Good places to eat locally.
The area has lots to offer, pretty towns and villages, good walking country.

I camped here for a night while doing a section of the Pennine Way - the campsite is right on the way with a gate leading on to the footpath itself.
It's in a great location, right next to Bowes castle and a couple of minutes walk from the village, with views of the castle and the Greta valley.
It's a great campsite. The woman attending (don't know her name, sorry!) was really helpful and friendly. The shower and toilet facilities were spotless.
Walkers should be aware that there is no shop in Bowes so stock up before arriving.
The hotel (the Unicorn) serves food but was all booked up when I visited which apparently is common. (Luckily a friendly family on a caravan trip at the campsite offered me some of their barbecue. )
There is a nice little shop on the campsite where you can buy snacks and a few handy items e. G. Shampoo or sticking plasters. Bowes Social Club is nearby which is a friendly local place for a drink.
Highly recommend the campsite - just a very pleasant place to stay.

A warm & friendly welcome awaits you at Ivy Hall Farm.
Stunning location & extremely clean facilities.
A large pitch with EHU.
All correspondence was efficient & friendly.
Love the honesty caravan - well stocked as no shop in the village.
Great base for exploring the area.
Would highly recommend this campsite.

On arrival at Ivy Hall Farm, I was greeted by a very friendly likeable gentleman who gave me all the information I could need. Based on first impressions, a genuine man who would do whatever he could for you. Well done.
I was amazed on seeing the extremely well kept site and short mown lawn that I have never seen such a quality workman/work women ship anywhere.
I like the fact that there was labels on the recycling bin as to what you can put in them as it varies from county to county.
I liked all the clean water services, spotless toilets and shower.
I was also very impressed by the adequately stocked shop to included dvd’s and books with an honesty box which is getting rarer in this day and age but a nice homely touch.
Ivy Hall Farm is the best camp site I have ever stayed on bar none.
It is a well deserved credit to the owners and all involved.
Thank you for a memorable stay.

Good flat field, friendly and helpful reception when I arrived.
Honesty shop set up in an old caravan which is essential given the lack of shops in Bowes.

Beautiful location, close to a main road but you feel it’s miles from anywhere. Barnard castle is a short drive for any shopping or petrol etc
The site is maintained to the highest standard and is very clean, grass mown regularly, EHU points safe.
The washing up facilities were nicely away from the loo block, bins and chemical emptying point
There are thoughtful touches such as an honest shop for anything you’ve forgotten
The picnic bench sited to make the most of the very best view
The young lady doing the cleaning and mowing is to be commended on her hard work
The site owners met me each time I’ve stayed and were polite and friendly
The play park looked great too
