We have just returned from this site. Really lovely site, clean, tidy & ideal for children, with 2 playgrounds, gamesroom & pool. Facilities are clean, tidy & adequate. Only criticisms we had were the fact the camping facilities i. E. Toilets, washing up facilities were too far from the camping field. We usually drove down.
A portaloo would have been handy! Shower/ toilet block clean but had to press button continuously for showers to keep going & the one hairdryer they had cost 20p & didn't last long. For ladies who like to use straighteners it would be a trip to the laundry room for a plug socket!
Also, it's classed as Benllech but that is a good 10-15 min drive away. Apart from that, it really is a pretty, well looked after site & for the 3 nights we were there didn't disappoint (too much!)

When looking to book this site I couldn't find any reviews that weren't older than 2 yrs and they were very 50/50 split as far as excellent feedback to terrible feedback. So it was a pleasant surprise to find it to be a mostly lovely site.
On arrival we followed a member of staff behind his buggy up to the top field, and I mean UP. We were right at the top of the site on a sloping field, which was fine as it was well maintained and drained well. However, we had little choice as to where to pitch as we had booked electric and there was only one EHU available and this was right in the middle of the field. As we had arrived in gale force winds it made for good entertainment for the surrounding tents as we battled to peg down the awning, what with no shelter to help us. The site has an awful lot of seasonal pitches and statics which all took the more convenient pitches closest to the facilities. This brings me to my biggest niggle. Why are the toilet blocks both near the statics? It makes no sense! You had to traipse down the hill to the loos, showers and pot wash facilities. Most people drove down, not great if you were in a tent. The women's showers were warm but last about 5 seconds before switching off. They also need mop and bucket to wash down the showers after and toilet brushes in loos as the cleanliness left much to be desired. Also, the chemical waste was quite high, so you had to lift the cassette up and had no hose to flush out the cassette. The waste water drain was not obvious and right next to a seasonal caravan.
Positives were the pool which was used regularly regardless of the weather. Clean and warm. My kids loved it, even if the moment they put a toe in it the warden warned them to behave even though they had done nothing wrong and had literally arrived 10minutes beforehand. I appreciate some kids can be troublesome, but come on people! Give them a chance to prove themselves as good citizens please.
The tennis courts were fab. There's a charge of £5 to hire, then £5 per racket, all refundable. Think £5 all in would have been fair to be honest. Football pitches and games room a great addition to the site and playground brilliant.
Wardens drove round regularly and we found this very reassuring particularly on our last night when the high winds threatened to blow us away.
On the whole, a great site. Staff nice and friendly and well maintained site. But needs a toilet block in top field or a re shuffle of seasonal pitches/statics.

This is indeed a well kept site, very clean and tidy. However the toilet blocks are in the middle of the statics and a fair walk from the camping field at the top of the site. They really need to build another block itself on the camp field as its no joke to walk down to the toilet at night if you are in a tent, people actually drive down because of the distance. The showers of which there are three in the nearest block and two more by reception are clean but the push buttons are exceptionally short, I counted 4 seconds on one and 10 seconds on another before they switched off, I know they don't want to waste water but really! and the lights are on timers as well so if they go off you have to come out of the shower to activate the pir again.
The pool is lovely and in august was heated and used by our children regardless of the rain as were the play areas. The camping field has a relaxed layout and was ideal for the group of us that went.
At £37 per night however I wont be returning unless they sort out the toilet facilities.

It was a glorious sunny weekend in Anglesey. Location good. However the description on the website couldn't be more wrong. This site is geared up for the summer school holidays only. The website doesn't describe this at all. The reception was shut on arriving at 8pm. Fair enough but on June 19th it isn't low season. There were no details to say how to get in touch with anyone. Shown to our pitch a good 5 min walk from reception. No explanation re what was where, a welcome or anything. Pitched up opposite the play area. There are 2 play areas. The one pictured on the website is out of view of all statics/vans/tents and a good walk away from where you will camp. The other one is on the campers field, 70yds from the tents. Perfect we thought. But it is open until 11pm. The trampoline being bounced on at 11pm is no joke. Not surprisingly, this is the area where teenagers congregate. The following morning, tested out the 'clean hot showers' which were in fact cold and dirty. The floors of all 3 ladies showers were dirty, full of dust from the fans above. The hot water had tripped apparently. Unusual they said when we managed to get hold of site management. Strangely, the hot water tripped again on Saturday, 24 hours later and no hot water for showers or washing up until Sunday afternoon. The pool on the saturday was freezing; it took your breath away. You definitely wouldn't get a toddler in there ! A nasty shock when advertised at guaranteed warm temperature. We lasted 5mins. For the sake of the kids who were soon shivering in the water. Toilet block & wash up a good 5 min walk from the tents/ caravans. Games room again in wrong place. Tennis courts need to get key from reception but what if reception shut ??? Limited reception opening hours during glorious sunny June weekend and of course no shop. That shut at 3pm on 1st June. I. E end of Whit week and won't open again until next summer hols. £30 per night. Definitely not worth it. Paying for facilities which you can't access and for customer service which doesn't exist. Not interested in fellow camper's lack of electric problem. Poor customer care. Very disappointed mum and dad and children. Statics- yes fine for those. Site would benefit from customer feedback questionnaires, a rethink of what is where, what is open and when, a thermometer for the pool, correct website details and a shop which look like the one in the picture ! Plus the wash up sinks are poorly designed. You end up soaked from the pressure of the water and it drips off you as draining board ( flat surface) just drips off onto you. No details of where could store/refreeze freezer blocks. Gardens beautiful but won't be going back.

Stayed over August bank holiday and we were very lucky with the weather. Many positives: the site is very tidy, the sports facilities are really good Tennis/swimming pool etc, kids playground really good and a nice games room for the older kids. Good dog walk and plenty of poo bins (shame some dog owners didn't use them a fair bit of poo on the dog walk) Shop well stocked and laundry adequate.
The downside: touring field is a good five minute walk from nearest toilet block. Toilet block is set amongst statics. Only three showers although they were clean and warm enough.
The site is fairly isolated and you need to drive to beach or shops/pub. Which could be considered a positive as we hardly spent any money! Limited mobile signal, you can purchase Wi-Fi from the caravan club site which backs on to this site.
Touring field sloped and fairly exposed and windy, with a few holes (I'm guessing rabbits) loads of wasps too and the noise from the nearby quarry is a bit annoying at times.
Overall a nice quiet site which is well managed but not worth the 35. 50 a night. Wouldn't go back.

The site is extremely well kept, manicured gardens, cut grass. However! I booked this site for my husbands 40th along with 3 other families all with children. We weren't told the swimming pool was closed when we booked which lead to a set of very unhappy children. The toilet block is far away from the touring field and the touring field itself is very exposed. All in all very disappointed. £30 a night would be reasonable if facilities were open! Will not be returning.

This is our fourth visit to this site. Family run and very friendly welcoming service. Camping field is large open field surrounded by hedge so can be quite exposed. If you have a large tent you need to be careful with your spot and how you pitch.
We have a few tents but when we visit here we pitch a 10 berth marlyland and have been here in force 10 gales and lashing rain and although very blowy we've not had problems. We always ask to pitch near the gate to the camping filed as that is less exposed.
Toilets are lovely although a bit of a hike from the back ofthe camping field. Showers are good too although could do with more than they have as we have sometimes queued but we've now got used to showering a bit later in the morning when most others have finished! Always clean and if you explain you are camping and they are being cleaned they always let you in.
Very family oriented. Swimming pool is perfect and our teenagers go there every day. Tennis courts are also good you pay a deposit and get that returnd when you return the key. Small football pitch too so plenty to do. Few playing machines and TV in the barn down near the entrance have spent a few nights in there with other campers watching football games! Lovely site.
Lots of people have rented pitches all summer so you see a ot of the same people when you visit which is lovely.
Great location for visiting Anglesey but feels remote enough when you are on site. There is no need to go off site too often if the weather is good and lots of good places to eat around.
Love this site and visit it every year. I agree it is pricey but you get what you pay for and I really feel this site is worth a visit and worth the additional cost.

2nd time we've been here. 2nd time it's failed to disappoint. I would recommend this campsite to anybody who will listen. Pitch was fantastic, loads for the kids to do and site is really safe meaning they had so much freedom to play with friends they made. The toilets, showers and pool area were spotlessly clean. Staff were really helpful too. We were able to choose our own pitch as wasn't that busy. We will certainly be going back here as often as the budget will permit. It's not the cheapest but you certainly get what you pay for. Full marks

Nant Newdd Caravan Park
I stayed in an 8 man tent which was very easy to pitch up as lots of space in camping field at back. However it is quite a walk to the toilet blocks but that's not put me off. The shop on site is small but provides basics like milk, bread toys and sweets etc.
Wouldn't bring a low car as speed bumps quite severe. Swimming pool is cold but you will get used to it after a while. The pictures on the website are out-dated so don't think it looks old.
Overall excellent standard and would visit again.
