A cracking little site. Facilities are quite basic but all you need. Only negative is you have to lift your waste water container up a fair height to empty down the chemical toilet disposal point.
The site is nice and level although the access gate is quite narrow if you have a long, wide tourer. A good base for exploring snowdonia national park.
Probably the most dog friendly site we've been to so far!
Superb!

We spent 2 weeks on this site, the entrance is very narrow and has a blind bend which would benefit from the owners clearing away the weeds to give a bit more vision, the owners are very friendly
One side of the field was taken over by season pitches which had all of the electric boxes, we were hooked up by an extension to a box somewhere which I thought was a bit unsafe as the connections were left out in the rain
The toilets and showers were unisex it was not very nice having a shower and hearing someone on the toilet, the beach is a short walk from the camp site unfortunately it is stones ok to walk the dogs but not for children to play on
A nice little site with beautiful views of the mountains, the bins were emptied on a regular basis and good washing facilities, dogs allowed but I would like to say some people spoil it for others by letting their dogs roam off the lead

We went to this site with three other families for a lovely Easter break. We had a fantastic pitch on a very clean site. The toilet block is beautifully clean, showers are large and usually warm. The owners are so friendly and they can't do enough for you. There are a lot of people who have permanent pitches there and they are also very friendly. Lots to do in the area but a car would be useful. We cannot recommend this site highly enough.

We found the site by putting a pin in a map, so glad we did. We called the owner who made it stress free to book. On arrival we were met by a lovely caring lady I had recently had a knee op that had gone wrong and needed a break, yeh Ha! She couldn't do enough to make our stay peaceful and relaxing, just what the Dr ordered.
The shower block is clean, and there is a block to wash dishes, with a fridge/freezer to store those cold items free. Its a site that's not over crowded, and many users return throughout the season, we liked so much, my son bought a caravan which now stays on site and we bought our own tent, we love it.
The campsite is minutes from a pebbled beach and the sea. There are many attractions to visit if you have a car, although the bus stop is not far away. There are lovely walks and you can bring your pets as long as kept on leads and you adhere to the country code, which we all do.
We're off there for Easter in a week or two, the dogs and family tagging along to.
The owners want you to have a good relaxing time, so she's even trying to order some good weather for us, what a lady!

Just returned from yet another visit to this lovely site. I have been visiting it for a number of years and for numerous visits each year.
The things I love about it are that there is plenty of space and it's in a great beautiful position with views of the mountains and right on it's own beach. The owners are so helpful and at hand if you need them. They are lovely and great for a chat and tips and advice about things to do in the area.
They ensure it's a safe environment and that it's not overcrowded.
The facilities are great with lovely clean showers and toilets and plenty of hot water.
The pot washing area is great with a fridge freezer if you need to use it.
It also has hook ups for electricity but ensure you book it beforehand as these are popular.
I have been to the site in a small family group and also in large party family groups. It's great for children with lots of space.
There is so much to do in the area and it's a great base to visit Caernarfon castle, Snowden, Dinelle beach and lots more. There is so much to do in the area it's too much to mention here. The site has lots of tourist information leaflets to choose from.
If you want a peaceful camp in a clean safe environment this site is for you.
It is better to have a car there to get around but shops and pubs/restaurants not too far away by car.

Glanllyn Lakeside Caravan & Camping Park - Bala
Glanllyn is situated on the shore of Lake Bala in Wales. 16 acres of natural parkland and spectacular views of nearby hills and mountains make it an idyllic spot to pitch a caravan, motorhome, tent or campervan with level grass or hardstanding pitches. For water sports enthusiasts there is a private shingle beach with easy launching area for windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, fishing and paddle boarding. Camp shop, wifi, laundrette, excellent heated toilet & shower facilities. The market town of Bala is 3 miles away with plenty of small shops, pubs & retaurants, cinema and a leisure centre. Cae Clyd.
We have just spent a week in a tent on this site and absolutely loved it. Quiet, clean, loads of space, beautiful views of the hills, very friendly owners and most importantly for us, excellent value for money.
The shower block is unisex and you are required to bring your own loo rolls.
The site is far enough from the main road that road noise wasn't an issue for us.
We found it an ideal base for Snowdon ~9miles (Rhyd Du)
There's a Coop in Penygroes ~2miles, Tesco/ Morrisons in Carnarfon slightly further away.
The Harp Hotel is ~2miles along the main Rd or ~3miles if you scramble along the beach (pebbles).
The wider area itself provides lots of attractions and we have vowed to return next year to use as a base for more mountain hiking.

WOW! The other review that says this is a hidden gem was right in every sense of the word.
We have just returned from a 2 week stay here with our 2 dogs and the photos on the website, in our opinion, don't do this site any justice.
It is a big site that wasn't over populated at any one time, with plenty of space between each camper. It has its own beach, literally a 2 min walk, ideal for walking the dogs. There are 3 separate fields, ours had electric hook up. There is one unisex toilet block, which we found strange initially but you soon get used to it. Take your own toilet roll (which we prefer anyway). There are 5 showers, 3 of which have massive shower heads and constant hot water in all. We never had to queue and were always kept very clean. There is a washing up area with a fridge freezer that anybody can use free of charge.
The site is close to both Pwllheli and Caernarfon for all your shopping needs. Dinas Dinlle is a place to visit just a couple of miles away with a fish & chip shop and cafe.
The site owners were very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for you, making sure you had everything you need.
We will certainly stay at this site again as its excellent value for money and the dogs loved it too.

The campsite is basically one big field where you are allowed to pitch up whether you please which is great. Lovely views of sea and a nice walk along the beach is very accessible.
Campsite is very basic with only one toilet block and one pot wash equipped with a fridge and a freezer. The toilets were unisex which I did not like. No on-site shop (the nearest shop is about a mile or two away) and there wasn't a playground for young kids either.
Owners were very helpful and took a great interest in their customers as they like to keep a tight hold on everything. I enjoyed my stay but the facilities (toilets etc) need to be improved as one sink had a wooden plank supporting it, some cubicles didn't lock and the owners don't supply toilet paper. Apart from that, they were clean.

My son and I had a wonderful week here. It was very hot and peaceful. The owner is very friendly and is often present on site asking if things are ok. The site is very clean and well maintained. The pebble beach is a slow 2 min flat walk and is lovely for dogs and early morning walks. You can pitch where you want and everyone is well spaced out. Please note there is nothing at the site except clean (huge)showers, loos, water, fridge, freezer and lots of space and peace. Will use this again. Please note don't forget your loo roll

Had a nice stay at Cae Clyd this weekend,
Facilities provided where kept tidy (toilets, shower area and kitchen), plenty of space in the facilities and for pitching as well. There is a fridge/freezer which would be handy for those who have frozen food etc.
Not far from Caernafon center which has pretty much everything you'll need there really.
Owners were nice and polite, can't really fault this site at all. Would be happy to stay again.
Diolch, Gweld chi eto.
