A great campsite, very peaceful, owners make you feel very welcome, beach a short walk though stones everywhere, but a short walk to the right of the gate, you come to soft sand. This is great for the dog who had a great time in the sea, thou a bit cold for us!Or just sit there and see the sunset wonderful.
Shops not to far away you have morrisons just down the road. Great location for Snowdon, and other mountains in easy reach for a climb and a good day out, toilets and showers good and very clean, we are back again end of august, lets hope the weather is better!
I would recommend this site, great time.

We were very impressed with this site. The owners kept the washrooms very clean and were around till late every night. The pitches were very large, but this could have been due to the fact that it was not completely booked up.
Unfortunately the weather was against us and we had a lot of rain and strong winds, but this did not put us off. I would recommend however a couple of strong windbreakers to help keep the wind at bay. The beach was ideal for the kids with plenty of rock pools and a large play area in the middle of the field. The other campers were very quite and everyone respected the 9.30 pm rule. This site is ideal for families and couples who want a quiet relaxing holiday. We will definitely be returning next year.

A beautiful picturesque campsite with very friendly and helpful owner. B.B.Q.'s and table/chairs for public use if you need them. Two wet rooms and 2 toilets are unisex, spotlessly clean, although sometimes queues. Washing machine and dryer for use in same building also fridge and plug sockets for charging phones,{handy for my teenagers,2 girls who were bored as no fair no arcade etc.}
Very short walk to a rocky not sandy beach, plenty rock pools to explore with kids.
Bus stop outside gates, bit of a walk.
15 min drive to Caernarfon, 5 min drive to local pub grub with reasonable prices 2 for 1 ect. Also tesco or shops.
Lots of space whilst we were there for kite-flying and ball games with kids. Safe environment.
Got a bit windy as near to sea. We put tent up in wind and took it down in rain! ground level and despite lots of rain overnight wasn't too boggy, just in middle where cars going on and off.
Will be going back for another weekend next year.
On a clear night you can almost touch the stars!
Thankyou owners for a pleasant time.

We visited this site originally for a two week stay. The site consisted of a toilet block with unisex toilets and two showers, these got quite congested in the mornings. The site was basically two large fields, the main field being the one with electric hookup. If you don't have a car this site would be difficult to get to and from and the signs from the road were easily missed!. Having said all that, the owners are two of the loveliest people who you could meet and offer to do whatever they can to make your stay enjoyable. Unfortunately for us, the weather got the best of our tent and we had to leave early! Ideal site for families due to space and the beach but very secluded and in our case extremely windy! would go again though

We stay in this area quite often and decided to try this site at short notice, The entrance is easy to spot if you follow the directions but is a single track in some places so could be difficult if towing There are two fields, one with electric and toilets showers etc, and one without any ehu / facilities so you do need to wlak over to the other field. We were offered a choice of fields and chose the 'camping' field which had slightly longer grass but to their credit they came out with a mower and mowed our pitch which made it like a home lawn and then the following day also mowed the rest of the field, Toilets are clean and tidy but there are only two toilet / shower rooms which are unisex and two separate toilets so there are definitely queues at busy times. Access to the beach is from the camping field which is great, there are no shops really close and you do need to drive to them. Generally and good clean site really aimed at campers than caravaners.

Visited this site for 2 nights very recently. Quite isolated but within easy reach of all amenities by car. Owners very welcoming. Fabulous scenery and within very short walk to very quiet beach which our children had great fun on finding shells etc. The site has only 2 showers / wet rooms plus 3 toilets which are all quite cramped and inadequate for all the campers.Nearly always a queue especially mornings although owners try very hard to keep it clean. Very close to popular tourist destinations including snowdon. Lots of space for ball games.

This is a lovely rural campsite with good clean basic facilities. It is right next to the beach and has lovely views of the mountains.
The owners are warm and welcoming and very helpful.
The shower rooms are very cramped and there is no where dry to put your clothes etc. Also there is a toilet in the shower room which can make things a little unpleasant and contribute to the queue of campers outside busting for the loo!

Cae Clyd is a lovely quiet family campsite, there is no playground but a nice big field for the kids to play in and very safe, toilet and shower block is kept nice and clean. There is also a fridge you can use to keep all your beers cold! The beach is a 5 minute walk just across a field, views are stunning. Caernarfon is a 10 minute drive away and there are some nice restaurants on the main road towards caernarfon, Meifod is a nice place to eat with lovely gardens at the back.

We visited the site on the Easter bank holiday weekend, after leaving it to a few friends to choose a site where we could all meet up. The campsite is quite literally in the middle of nowhere with just a few local shops (oh and a bus stop just outside the site entrance!) Getting to find the entrance was not that easy as there was only a small sign displaying the campsite name and it is a fast main road! The site itself is down a track quite a distance from the road and is medium sized site.
The field we were in was quite level and not really that exposed considering how close it is to the beach. The shower and toilet facilities are quite new, as is the site, the owners told us that more toilets and showers are planned to be built which is a good thing as even though there were not many of us on the site there were queues at times. There are two single shower/ toilet rooms so don’t leave it until you are absolutely desperate!
As is mentioned in other reviews the site is close to the beach, with only a short stroll to get you there. There was one rowdy camper on the site, and with it being quite peaceful he and his family were quite noticeable sharing there taste in music and loudly telling us all about their exploits from inside their tent which is ok, but not from 12 at night until half three in the morning. We let it go for one night thinking it may be a one off but on the second night phoned the owners. As they do not live on site it took a short time for them to get there. After a quick chat with our noisy neighbours it was quiet for a while. The owners came to see all of the campers the next day to apologise and after a few more had said they were also disturbed (not just us whining) the family were told to vacate their electric pitch and to camp at the other end of the field or leave site. Anyhow we had the best nights sleep ever on a campsite the following night with the only sound the noise of the sea. Well done site owners!
We will visit again and if you want a peaceful site to get away from it all, with caring owners, this site is definitely for you.

Lovely site, lovely owners who cannot do enough for you, the icing on the cake is the two minute walk across the next field to the pebble beach. The children had hours of fun looking for fossils and searching the rock pools for crabs. Lots of room for the children to play and excellent, spotless shower / toilet block.
