We really liked this site. There was a climbing frame and play area for children and the pitches were well spaced. It had a lovely, friendly atmosphere to it and the facilities were to a high standard. We would go here again.

A lovely site with good amenities and very close to all that the area has to offer however this area is getting extremly overdeveloped with holiday sites and it shows! We visited over bank holiday so the site was very busy and there were often queues for the tiolets showers etc and lots of children cycling round and round! There is great picnic areas along the coast with access direct onto the beach and as the area is so flat it is excellent for cycling

May 2004 We spent a week at this site and thoroughly enjoyed it. Facilities are up to usual CC, everything spotless and very friendly wardens. There is a small shop in reception selling the basics and sweets for the kids.
Although it was school holidays and the site was full, it didn't seem noisy and we still had a relaxing time. There was a small play area and the kids also enjoyed riding around the site on their bikes.
The washing up facilities and toilets were closed for cleaning between 11;30 and 12:30 BUT there is a unisex disabled toilet and washing basin available when these are shut, so not so bad.
The dog walk leads onto fields and a nature reserve that runs along an old railway line. There is a clean beach about a 20 minute walk away , through the village of Trustthorpe and dogs were allowed all season.
All in all, we enjoyed our week at this site and would definitely visit again.

August 2004 As expected from a C&CC site amenities are clean. Toilets, showers, laundry room & dish washing room. Lot of traffic as in campers stopping for 1 / 7 night stays. small play area for children, meeting area for teenagers! Ideal stopping place to tour the area 2/3 nights. We stayed 7 nights and I felt this was too much. Not your quiet peaceful chilling out type of site. Dogs allowed which may be a problem (noise etc.) Only grumble ALL amenities are closed 11 - 12:30 all indoors including dish washing, so closure for cleaning means NOTHING can be washed bodies or pots!

A level site with both hard standings and grassed pitches maintained to the Caravan Club's usual high standard. Excellent toilet/shower and laundry facilities, with childrens' play area and very good off-lead dog walk from site. Newsagent visits 9am daily and fish and chip van visits twice weekly. Shops and beach about a 5 minute drive away. Beach is sandy - wide and loooonnngggg - on this part of the coast. Supermarket shopping at Mablethorpe is 10 minutes by car. Skegness about 30 minutes drive to the south. Leave the typical English seaside resorts and the flat coastal plain and drive inland and see the contrasting landscape of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Lovely villages and interesting towns. Louth is worth a visit. St James Church has the most amazing wood carvings and decoration and angels 'fly' up near the roof! Lots of pubs (Kings Head carvery was v good) and a market.
