What a brilliant campsite this is! Cant fault it, spotlessly clean and immaculately kept. 2 minutes walk into Pateley Village, 3 pubs within walking distance of the site, 2 in the village and one just out. Excellent food served in both the village ones and at good prices too, didn't try the food at the other pub but intend to on the next visit! Indian restaurant was good but isn't licensed as yet. Plenty of places to visit so the site is also a good base for those who like a bit of sight seeing. A number of caravans on the site were occupied for 7 months of the year and we found the owners of them very friendly and welcoming. We had a flat battery on the last day of our stay and was towed by a kind gent with a 4 x 4, another offered us the use of his jump leads. We are definitely going back!

Just came back from a fantastic weekend at this lovely site.owners were very friendly got shown to pitch and helped to un hitch. Lovely big field for the kids to play also lovely river for them to splodge in, also dog too. Pubs and shops right on your doorstep and lovely Indian takeaway, so no need to cook yourself. There's a fab pork-pie shop best one I’ve had. All in all a great site with everything you need local and the scenery is breathtaking.

August 2004 We've visited this site quite a few times. Every time the owners have been superb - even accommodating our rather large group together on the riverside area when it's been available. The showers are wonderful - bliss after a hard days climbing...
Within easy walking distance of the village where there's a very nice curry house and Italian restaurant and one or two pubs. Last year we were there after the terrible flooding, where various rivers burst their banks. We expected the site to be waterlogged but it wasn't. This is a great site - we hope to be back there soon.

May/June 2004 A really clean, pleasant site next to the river in Pateley Bridge and the owners are really friendly. The showers and toilet facilities are really clean and the site is right next to a playing field and park which is really good for the kids. There's also a pie shop in the town which is worth a visit! Saying that, if you are unlucky enough to be in a tent and you get a pitch in the "middle area" take a drill as nothing less will get your tent pegs in! It seems the grass is laid over a gravel base so rest assured unless you have diamond tipped tent pegs, you'll bend quite a few... The site, I suppose because it is next to the river, also suffers from midges, clouds and clouds of them, so many that most of the time we had to sit in the tent for fear of been bitten to death ! If you do go here, take loads of repellent (even in the rain they seemed to strike!) and citronella candles to burn them away. That being said and whilst that may sound really negative, it is a great little site and we will definitely be going back.

oct 2003 This is an excellent well maintained site with very friendly and helpful staff.
The site is in prime location to the village and has good access points to various walks and attractions which lie in the surrounding area.
The toilet block is very clean and the pitches are of a good size and even in October the grass was in fantastic condition.
This is a brilliant site for spending a few days away from the hustle of bustle of the 9-5 and to soak up the relaxing atmostphere of the area.
