 This was the best site we stayed at on our South West trip. It is a little gem of a site. It has lovely views of the Axe estuary All the pitches are grass, but firm and level. We chose one with EHU.
The facilities are clean and well maintained. There are toilets, showers, a laundry, drinking water, waste water, Elsan disposal, recycling and general waste bins.
There is a shop in the reception building, which has all the essentials as well as some items for sale in aid of the local air ambulance.
There is also a large dog exercise field. There are two pubs in the village, both offering food.
There is also a bus stop in the village, with buses to Seaton and Lyme Regis. The walk to Seaton is lovely beside the estuary and is flat and takes about 20-25 mins.
There is a Coop and a Tesco in Seaton for your food and fuel needs. There are many options for days out around the area in this lovely part of Devon.
You will not be disappointed, but don’t tell everyone.

Lovely campsite in a pretty village.
It is next to the river but sadly, due to hedges and grass, you can't see it.
Very friendly, clean and well organised.
Would go back.

Amazing campsite with really lovely friendly staff.

Our 2nd visit here, we really like the site, very close to two lovely pubs.
The site is fairly level and is well looked after.
The only down side is that there are not enough water taps for the amount of campers.

Really lovely site on the river bank between two pubs in a quiet village.
Easy to bike to Seaton for shopping and bus stop just outside camp.
Lovely clean showers and toilets. Lovely wardens. Nice little shop.
Will be booking again.

2 good puns within easy walking of site.

A great relaxed campsite in a beautiful location next to the river with views to hills.
The wardens were very friendly and people having parties all stopped close to 11pm. Right next door to a great pub so could ask for no more.
A rather tight turn for larger vehicles to get out and in the site so bear in mind but find for most.

Booking was easy, a quick telephone call. I didn't need to pay a deposit.
Journey there was fine, we travelled down the A358 and there were a few narrow sections through some of the villages but it was mostly an uneventful easy journey.
First things first - you HAVE TO turn left to get into the site, so if your route brings you in the other way then you need to continue past the site and go into Seaton and turn around, so plan your route so you turn in from the right.
TAKE CASH - Luckily we had enough to pay for our stay (£25 a night for an electric pitch for a caravan with 2 adults 2 children a dog and an awning).
We arrived at about half 7 in the evening. I had said on the telephone that we would be arriving late-ish and was told it wasn't an issue. (After driving past the site and turning round in Seaton as despite reading on here that you had to turn in from the left hubby decided it was fine and he could manage to turn in from the right - he couldn't!)
The turning is very narrow and very tight to get into the site. When we got in the wardens came across from their unit and booked us in, I had asked for 3 nights so that we could leave late on the Sun but was told as they had no one booked in after us she'd just charge us for the 2 nights and we could leave when we liked on the Sun. (We stayed till 6pm). The warden took us to the pitch and offered to help us site the van.
Our pitch was lovely with a view of the estuary from the front window. We could watch the trams running up and down. We were a row back from the front pitches but just had small tents in front of us so a great pitch. We decided not to bother with the awning as the weather was very wet and just put our windbreak up.
This was our first trip out since Covid and I was a bit wary about having to use shared facilities. The ladies block was immaculately clean and smelt fresh, (no mildew type smell that you get in some places) windows and door open all the time hand sanitiser on wall outside.
There were some cubicles with sinks in and 3 shower cubicles. There were no signs up about wearing masks in the block, some people did some didn't. Whenever I used it it was never busy. I didn't use the showers but hubby did, they were unisex individual shower rooms in sort of as shed next to the mens block, he said they were absolutely fine. There always seemed to be plenty of hot water when I ran the tap in the sink.
For those with dogs there were 2 designated dog bins. There was a massive well kept dog walking field enclosed by hedges(although a small dog could have got through the gate towards the estuary). To get to it you had to walk through the camping field which had a sign that said it was for organised groups. It had a few portaloos there. There was a big group camping.
Site was quiet and well kept, two pubs nearby and a church - could hear the bells striking the hour which was very pleasant. Two pubs close by, we didn't use them. We went into Seaton and had a tram ride. Plenty of car parking nearby - easy to pay on phone, and as we were with friends that were staying in Seaton itself we could pay once and when we left the car park and returned later in the day the parking fee was automatically updated once set up on the phone.
Pleasant walk from the end of the beach at Seaton to Beer - very steep walk both up and down on a mostly tarmac well kept path away from the cliff edge. Enjoyed crab sandwiches at the cafe at Beer for lunch.
When we were leaving one of the wardens stood out in the road and stopped the traffic guiding us out.
Would definitely return. The only thing that concerned me slightly was that there were clearly a lot of seasonal pitches, and they were so close together that the windbreak from one unit touched the side of the caravan of the next unit, and I thought there was meant to be a gap between units as a fire safety measure.

Great site, ehu, toilets & showers clean & tidy,
5 mins by bike to seaton for breakfast & to explore the surrounding area by bus, forget sundays I think the bus company's are on strike.
I will visit again.
Site does not take card payment, bit odd in this covid world

A GOOD SITE, good location, wardens very helpful, easy access to town and bus stops,
To many barking dogs and owners leaving dogs iv units when they go out dogs just keep barking and as always irresponsible dog owners just letting dogs off and not being able to pick up the mess, NOT THE WARDENS JOB,

Wonderful location next to the estuary at the southern end of thr village.
There are two pubs in the village, we had dinner at the Shi[ Inn, which wes great. We didn't try the Harbour Inn which is right next to the site.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
There is a small shop in reception, and no other shop in the village, although the Tesco in Seaton is only a mie way.
The showers were a little basic but with plenty of hot water, and very clean
It is quite a big site and although the plots were of a good size there is no physical sparation.
The site only accepts cash.
The site recommends approaching from Seaton as the right turn into the site when approaching from the north is very tight and awkward.

Our third visit here.
Location on riverside perfect with plenty of walks from site, buses into Seaton and beyond, great cycle routes around the Wetlands and to Colyton.
Seaton close by with Tesco Superstore. 2 pubs within 5 min walk.
Amazing helpful and cheerful Wardens.
What more could anyone ask for?
