 We stayed here for a weekend. There was not a problem with us arriving a little late, the owner was very helpful.
We did feel the pitches were quite close together and the site could possibly benefit from a few more dividing hedges to soften the noise we all make and give a little more privacy. Had someone come in on the pitch next to ours, it would have been rather cramped, especially when the field is huge!
The skate board half pipe seemed a favourite with the kids. The facilities are ok.
The shop is well stocked. There are some lovely walks across the fields from the farm. Good value for money.

Great little site, nice to pitch where you like. It was busy but still seemed spacious. Nice chip van Saturday night. Only whinge was the toilet block was a bit tired/dirty but to be fair its only a minor gripe. Will still be back again though for another short stay. Childrens play area was a bonus for tiring the little ones all out. Pitching area was lovely grass and nice and flat which was great.

Just had our 2nd visit to Top End Farm. As on our first, the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The field is well maintained and there appear to be continual improvements to the site. The toilet block was always clean and the showers nice and warm.
Pitches are £12.75 for ehu (£10.00 for non ehu) and would definitely recommend if you want to try camping for the first time as you haven't spent the earth if you want to go home!
We will definitely be returning!

What a little gem.Clean tidy very well kept. New toilet/shower block with plenty of hot water. My only criticism would be the lighting in the toilet block was a bit dim, only really noticeable when trying to shave.
Friendly regulars and the fact it is only 20 mins from home will make a regular haunt for us. I have already spoken to the owners about returning in July with a gang of friends. We will be back!

This was our 3rd visit to site, previous 2 visits last year in our tent.
The kids love it here, plenty of space to run around in and a nice little park.
If not on electric hook up you can pitch almost anywhere, the field is massive. There is also hard standing for the wetter weather
Well stocked village shop on site.
Always found the toilet/shower block to be clean and tidy.
All the staff we encountered have been friendly and helpful, and we are planning another visit in July with a group of friends

My self and son went here in January for 4 days. The site was very big, the owners friendly and toilets were ok and warm. Showers were a tad cold. The shop has everything, you have to try there home made scotch eggs they are massive and taste great. There is a scateboard ramp and also a children's play area in the middle of the field. If I were to go again then I would use the far end of the site then every one wont be going past the caravan. I think that the site is geared more for tents as there is not a lot of electric points. I thought that £12.50 in winter was dear

Our second visit to top end, new toilet/shower blocks are a lot better than before, nice, clean,and warm. Only problem we had this year was the grass.Really needed cutting, our walk to the toilet block in the morning left our shoes wet through and I mean wet so wellies next year.
Dog show was a bit of a let down from year before, didn't have the same feel to it, its become a bit more serious which disappointed the kids.
Will go again next year in hope it changes again as we do like the site for a weekend break.Also could do with sign posting to help find the site we got lost and we had sat nav lol.

Went here for a weekend dog show. The site is a huge flat field with really big skies. The dog show was on site too. The farm shop at the front of the site does sell everything.
This could be a wonderful site but the lack of planning with the toilet/shower block lets it down, ill fitting shower curtains cause wet floors in the changing area and even in the corridor, cheap toilet seats won't last long and the cleanliness was suspect too. A little bit more thought and money spent on the toilet block to bring it up to a good standard and it would be an wonderful site.
You need a car to do anything from this site it is very near St Neots and Bedford.

Just back form another weekend at top end second time this year different pitch £12.50 with EHU £10.00 without great value
Chip van on Saturday went down well with the grandchildren chips with their burgers that I burnt on the BBQ
They had taken their skateboards and had a great time with the other kids on site nice big grass area to run around in
Scamps dog show was there Saturday and Sunday quite a good turn out with the occasional stalls
Tent all dried out from Sundays down pour I think that's me till next year

Staff are always very helpful and friendly at this very pleasant and quiet site. Always quick to respond to email enquiries, and very flexible regarding arrivals etc. Toilet / shower block are excellent, and shop is well stocked.
Super for families, as it is a safe place for children and has decent play facilities. But also ideal for all ages; I've met young and old people there., and all seem well satisfied with the site. I camp at Top End Farm when I visit Santa Pod (drag racing), but if I get time plan to have a longer break there for a good relax.
Not much light pollution nearby, so it's great on a starry night.

Our choice of Sun camping Offer weekend and we were very pleased with Top End Farm to end our 2010 season.
After getting lost and having to call the site owner for directions, who kindly gave me clear direction to Top End farm, I knew we where on to a winner. Although actual sign's to the site would be an advantage.
Usually if you call somebody for directions after getting lost, they tend to roll around the floor laughing and advise you to get a sat nav, but not here.
The site is away from it all in a little place called 'Little Staunton'. On arrival which was around 6.40pm, we were told to pitch our unit at the bottom end of the field, ok I thought, clean and level, close to the playground for the kids, and slighty sheltered from the wind. The only down side was the 5 min walk to the toilet block, which when you got to go, is a trek and half. That aside we managed and had a good time.
The kids played until around 9.30pm in the playground and on the half pike, or until somebody fell off the half pike ramp in the pitch black. Which indecently did happen, and no injuries to be had which was a good thing.
My only recommendation would be to put up some signage asking responsible parents not to allow their kids on the apparatus after sun set, because it is pitch black, as there is no lighting around the field, Only at the toilet block.
The shop site was well stocked and had everything you could need to be honest, you can even rent a DVD and they take plastic too, just in case you find your self short of cash, it helps when a site can accept debit cards.
The showers are closed between 10.30 & 11.30am for cleaning, which meant that they were a bit wet later on in the evening. Then again the dew on the grass started to form around 8ish, but it wasn't dirty. The water was hot and they had 3 push button showers, in both the gents and ladies. There was even a separate wet room for less able bodied campers.
A great site if you have kids, but if your looking for a quite get-away, avoid school holidays or weekends I would say.
We did get a great early wake up call on the sunday we were coming home, when at least 20 hot air balloons took off from a neighbouring field and flew over head at around 7am, they were so low that you could hear the pilot topping up the air with the burners. Coupled with a faultless blue sky and early morning sun rise it was a magnificent sight.
This was our first trip in this area and we will be visiting again, with St. Neots and Bedford not too far away the site is ideally positioned to explore. Kimbolton looks like lovely place and we did venture into St.Neots and Bedford.
Well we go again? I will add it to my calendar for next year and probably make it our usual final weekend away place.

Stopped at top end farm last year and will be returning next weekend,
Good size, children's play area with giant skate board ramp. My children and sisters children didn't have skateboards so was sliding down on there bums ! a few pairs of ripped jeans but they loved it.
Well stocked shop
Chip van on sat nights
Can't comment on showers/toilets as heard they have new ones, so will comment when I've returned.
We go on the scamps dog show weekend so plenty to do, kids have great fun entering our dog into the fun show, brill weekend for all the family and dog.

We visited this campsite for the August Bank Holiday weekend and had a great time. Although the site was busy we had a great spot. There were 3 Tents and a Caravan (8 Adults, 5 children + 1 Dog) in our group and despite booking only a few weeks before we were pleased with the pitches we were given and had ample space without being too close to our neighbours.
The site had a great play area for the Children and lots of room to fly the kite!
The toilet/shower block was basic but fine for what we needed.
The site has a village shop which has everything needed, with helpful staff.
Great value for money, at only £10pn we couldn't go wrong.
A relaxed site in a great location.
We enjoyed it so much we are going back again this weekend in the hope the weather will hold! Fingers crossed!

This site is very cheap, but you get what you pay for. Booking in was a matter of paying and your name was added to a sheet, they would have no idea if you stayed 1,2 or 20 nights. You can then park anywhere except the numbered pitches. We picked a pitch in near the play area so we could watch the children. Good level field but very open and the wind drove across making pitching the tent an adventure!
The play area was very noisy with children on there till nearly midnight.(our choice of pitch though so no complaint really)
The toilet block has a sign saying please mop the floor (with the dirty mop) after showering which most people don't do as it was like a swimming pool in both sexes. Not enough showers really or washing up sinks and the elsan disposal looked questionable! but good hot showers!when you got there!
Chip van was good quality and reasonably priced.
Would visit again but for no longer than a weekend!

We were virgin campers who borrowed a tent. We stayed for the weekend arriving on fri night. We had a good pitch with electric hook up and a tap nearby. Our kids loved the playground and if your kids love skateboarding it is excellent.
The shower and toilet blocks were very clean, and the shop on site stocked all essentials. It was nice to have a fish n chip van arrive saturday night.
Everyone seems very friendly. If you want a nice and clean site with washing up facilities this is a lovely relaxing site with pretty villages all around. We will go back.
