This is an excellent campsite with first class facilities.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The site is ideally situated for visiting Winchester and other local attractions including the nearby heritage railway.

The visiting food caterers I found particularly useful.

I would stay at this site again.

This was our first visit to Winchester Morn, using it as a 2 night stopover en route to Southlands on the IoW. Its clear that the site has been updated to the latest CAMC standard, with large flat and well kept pitches, resurfaced access roads and clean, modern facility blocks. (There maybe the occasional queue when the site is busy due to the limited size of the facility block).

The staff were welcoming and always available to talk to, and the grass areas around the site were well tended. Wifi and TV signal were good as was the phone signal, and with a regular bus to Winchester, the site is well connected.

The only thing for us that was missing was a local walkable pub as we were in a MH. On our first night we walked to the Cricketers Inn in the sunshine which took us 40m each way, a lovely pub with good food in Easton.

However, there is no path on a surprisingly busy mostly single track road, so decided not to do that again.

I would return and look to spend longer here to explore the wider area on our bikes.

Accessing the site from the M3/A31 at the roundabout is a bit strange as you first take a small exit then you have to cross the path of traffic on the B3404, which has right of way, so take care. Once you have negotiated this turn right past Neptune Kitchen (formerly a decent pub I was told) then the site entrance and reception are on your left.

Morn Hill has been recently refurbished by the CAMC and is in two halves. Bottom half hardstanding service and standard pitches, top half tent and grass pitches with a small number of hardstanding ferry pitches. We think this must have been two separate sites in the long distance past.

Both have identical new toilet blocks, with open grill motorhome waste points next to them. We felt the blocks were too small and would struggle at peak times, but they were very modern and kept clean.

Excellent half-hourly bus service 64 about 5/10 mins walk from the site on the Old Alresford Road (B3404 - Science Centre stop). Winchester in one direction, Alton and Alresford (Watercress Heritage Railway) in the other. We visited Winchester a couple of times and would recommend it, a lovely place.

We have been here a few times now at different times of the year and would happily return again.

Nice site, easy access from motorway/A roads although take your time to find the correct exit on the roundabout to the site entrance.

Buses into the city are a short walk from the site. Site staff efficient and friendly, the facilities are spotless and modern but could do with a bit more heating.

Pitches are good and quite level. There are a few ramps between different pitch areas but should all be easy to manoeuvre.

Can’t remember seeing a play area for kids so check this if it’s important. Likewise we don’t have a dog but I’d be surprised if there wasn’t a dog walk.

Not much to do within a short walk from site, there is a science centre and planetarium over the road which does have a cafe/restaurant

We cycled around the area and found some picturesque villages with nice pubs, not many tea rooms to stop at.

The site has been modernised in the last couple of years so older reviews might be a bit out of date.

Ideal for catching an early ferry out of Southampton and facilities are very clean as they have been recently refurbished.

The two ladies checking us in were very friendly and the site was spotless.

Not sure I would use it other than for ferry in or night stay after coming back late, but lovely site for that purpose.

We received a very warm welcome upon arrival at the site.

The pitch was clean and the facilities block excellent.

There is a small dog walk with plenty of bins.

Just off a main road however although the road was busy we were not at the van to hear it and it was much quieter over night, so did not interfere with our stay.

Very recently overhauled, not opened long, so everything is new.

The toilets and showers are excellent, as are the pitches.

Easy access (via bus) to Winchester (10 mins) or Alresford (15 mins) or farther afield to Alton.

Buses generally every 30 mins.

There are no pubs or shops to walk to, but it's not long into Winchester on the bus, or about a 3 mile walk!

To Find Site:- Leave M3 at either junction 9 or 10 depending on direction travelled. In about a mile turn onto A31 at roundabout towards Alton.

At the next roundabout take care as you have to cross the path of traffic on the B3404, which has right of way, then immediately turn right in front of the Neptune Furniture Shop.

You will see the entrance to the site and reception in a short distance on the left.

The Club now have a strict rule that arrival is at the earliest 13. 00 hours. Early arrivals may be turned away.

This site is situated about two miles from the centre of Winchester. During 2022 the Morn Hill site underwent a major refurbishment.

The site has two sections a lower section, where reception is, which now has all hardstandings and is open all year. The upper section with mainly grass pitches has seasonal opening.

In total there are 51 hardstandings in all on the lower section, consisting of 14 serviced pitches, 2 premium serviced pitches with additional space and a paved area with a picnic table and BBQ station, there are 25 standard awning pitches and 10 non awning pitches.

The higher section has 48 grass awning pitches and 6 tent pitches. One of the changes to the upper section is the provision of 9 hardstanding short stay / ferry pitches. Electric bollards are convenient to all pitches and are rated at 16 amps and use standard CEE17 blue connectors.

The Club seem to be changing how you connect as you now have to reset the breaker when you plug in, there are instructions on the bollards. Despite the site information saying TV reception is only fair there is no booster system employed, however we did get a reasonable picture with our roof mounted aerial.

Both sections have identical smart modern toilet blocks, in front of both are open grill motorhome waste points. There are also laundry and dishwash facilities. Service points with chemical emptying are dotted around the site.

There is site wide WiFi which can be purchased online. I was able to tether my phone to my laptop using 4G. Reception sell a few essentials including milk and ice cream. Apparently, there are two dedicated EV charging points in the park car on the upper section.

This site is very convenient for visiting Winchester which is only a couple of miles away. There is the option to walk although there is a half hourly bus service which not only goes into the City but also to Alresford and Alton, handy if you wish to visit the Watercress Line, Heritage Railway, in the other direction.

A little further afield is Southampton and Portsmouth and this site could be a useful stopover for the ferries to France. For shopping there is a large Tesco at Winnall a couple of miles from the site just off the M3.

Immaculate grass pitch site. Shower blocks spotless but dated. (They are being replaced at the end of the season. )

A 10 minute walk to Winchester science centre & a 5 minute walk to the bus stop where stagecoach 64 goes into Winchester. Bus also stops outside the excellent pub the Golden Lion.

Some distant road noise from some pitches but not intrusive. Very friendly wardens.
