Great location near the river Thames in Lechlade. Access to the Thames Path and river is via a padlocked gate in the corner nearest the bridge and across the field. This field may have cows in them but they're usually quite docile although perhaps inquisitive.
The campsite itself is a large flat field and you can set-up basically wherever you like but are guided by the on-site manager when you check-in at reception.
Access to and from the site is via an electronic key fob which also allows entrance to the toilet block which is by the entrance. Use of the key fob for the toilets I found rather inconvenient as more often than not I forgot to bring it with me and would have to return to get it. I'm not sure it's really needed to keep non-residents out given how far the entrance is from any footpaths or the town.
The toilet block is now rather tired but has 2 showers and 4 cubicles each (the men's also has 2 urinals). They're not plush but functional and adequate but may be a bit chilly in cooler months.
There is EHU but this then limits where you are able to camp. There's adequate washing up facilities (outside but under cover) and drinking water locations.
There is also an Elson point near the toilet block and a facility to allow Motohomes to refill with water.

Very quiet, friendly site in easy reach of lovely river walks and a short drive to Crocodiles of the World and the Cotswold Wildlife Park.
We've stayed before and we'll definitely stay again.

Lovely campsite, large pitches. Showers/toilets are kept very clean, showers were hot.
Direct access to the river and towpath, lovely walks along the river either way and also into Lechlade.
Lechlade is lovely, the Riverside pub is nice on the river, we didn't eat there as they were very busy.
The road can be busy at night.

Beautiful setting with views of river, moored boats and halfpenny bridge.
Facilities clean, plenty of basins, but just 2 showers, not a problem for us as only 2 pitches in use.
Shower space quite small.
Great local pub, very friendly.

We had a really lovely time staying here.
We chose it for its proximity to places we wanted to visit but would come back just because we liked it so much.

Great campsite with everything we needed, electrics, clean toilets and showers.
It is very close to the town of Lechlade, just across the river Thames via Halfpenny Bridge.
Several pubs, restaurants and various shops, including a supermarket. There are nice gentle walks along to the Trout at St Johns lock.
This is our second visit this year and will be staying again later in the summer.

The attraction of this site is that there are good walks straight from the site and Lechlade is just 15 minutes walk across a field.
The ground was very dry when we were there which made it great for walking but we were told the ground can get very wet at times. All the pitches are grass which was fine while we were there because the ground was very dry.
We had a pitch on the higher level nearest the entrance where there was a water tap within easy reach. There did not seem many taps serving the more extensive lower level.
The toilet/shower block looks a bit dilapidated from the outside but the actual facilities were ok and kept clean. The shower cubicles are a bit cramped but the showers are hot and powerful.
Lechlade has a few shops including a Co-op and a bakers, Lynewood, which has excellent sourdough. However, quite a few shops were closed and the village seemed a bit run down.
A good site for dog walking with a number of off road options straight from the site.

Lovely campsite, despite some road noise it was very peaceful.
A few rules to be followed but nothing out of the ordinary.
The lady in charge was very welcoming and made sure I knew where everything was.
Two mins across a field to Thames and Lechlade.
A very enjoyable stay, I will come back as soon as I can.

Site very convenient for walking to Lechlade (pubs/ restaurants, coffee shops etc) and for swimming in Thames if weather clement.
Owner helpful and pleasant and facilities absolutely fine - clean, hot showers etc.
Site well-protected security-wise. Fairly small and no add-ons such as ob-site bar etc but it has all you really need for a good price. Recommended.

A friendly reception with well planned explanations of how to set up the pitch. Our choice of the vacant pitches.
Once parked up a return to reception to confirm pitch number and collect the tag to activate both the barrier and access to the ablution block. (No deposit required for the tag as mentioned in previous reviews)
Flat pitches and a raised area that accommodates the adults only area.
No shop or other facilities on site but only a 10 min walk over the adjacent field stepping over country pancakes to the banks of the Thames, over the bridge and into town where food, drink and entertainment can be found. There is free parking in town if unable to walk.
Outdoor washing up sinks.
Key fob required to enter the ablutions. Inside, 3 separate entrances Male, Female and Disabled. Clean and tidy. Not overly spacious ant adequate at the time we were visiting but the washrooms may be tight when at full capacity.
Easy access area set aside for Elsan and waste water site.
This is not a 'Crealy' or 'Haven' leisure park. No shop, no children's play park, no restaurant, no club. Ideal as a base for exploring the local area or for just chillin'. Yes, the odd 'nutta' giving full right foot on the straight road can be heard but also chimes from the Lechlade Church break the silence.
The scores I have given are based on what we needed and found.
