 This is a top quality site each pitch is very well made with its own water supply, water drain and electricity.
The site is very well made for all, facilities are superb the toilets and showers are A1 and the kept ver clean. Bins are easily accessible, there are very good cleaning for pots facilities and there is a laundry room where clothing can be cleaned.
Located a few miles from Barmouth you can obviously drive but you can walk, unfortunately its not possible to go the whole way along the beach.
10 minutes down the road is another site owned by the same company and campers are able to access the beach from there. There is also a bus service that can be used but I didn't check the times.
Most important is that there is a pub/restaurant a short walk away but I can't say what its like as I didn't use it.
All in all it is probably the best managed site I have used, its not cheap but if you want quality you have to pay, it is worth it.

Only stopped for one night as we were travelling back to Mid Wales, will definitely go back for a longer stay,
Very friendly site and we were shown to our pitch,
Close to the beach, you have to cross a railway line but this has traffic lights for safety,
A 20 min walk in to Barmouth along the promenade,
Facilities were clean, dog friendly, even has a dog shower,
Very sharp turn into site,
No dog walk but beach is dog friendly and very near

Great size pitches as fitted camper awning and a car on ours (pitch 36). Friendly welcome from staff.
Washing up facilities with only tepid water though.
Ideally situated for Barmouth with a lively 20min walk along the promenade from the campsite.
One block of toilet facilities is dated but immaculately clean.
A friendly robin joined us for our stay.
Definitely a place we would go back to.

Back again to this well positioned campsite in Barmouth.
Easy booking online and requested a specific area to be pitched in, which we were given when we arrived - thank you. Friendly welcome.
Flat, large hardstanding fully serviced pitch. All in working order except the TV hook up. We reported this to the office and were told to use one of the points on the next door pitch, which we did and it worked well.
2 toilet blocks, one newer than the other, but strange cleaning times.
The site felt a lot more tidy than when we stayed in September last year.
Pity we didn't have the weather on our side this time, but it didn't stop us walking into Barmouth twice to enjoy the delights of the local pubs and cafes.
Still our favourite view (Barmouth bridge) in the whole of Wales.

Visited this beautiful campsite regularly and as always, it never disappoints.
Ideal for the beach, town, pubs with great food etc. Sandy beach and safe sea for the grandkids to play, with crab hunting their favourite pastime.
The staff on site here are so helpful and easy going. A special thank you to Mark, (supports Stockport County but we forgive him), who helped us with an issue with our new air awning, and spent over an hour at least sorting us out.
Thanks again Mark, appreciated your efforts so much.
Great 10 nights great holiday great campsite, brilliant staff. See you next time.

Site was excellent facilities great nicely positioned fore centre of Barmouth and other locations.
Staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable if you wanted to know anything. They helped to find a taxi so I did not have to move the motor home

Overall the site is perfect
The down side is the toilet cleaning times (closed from 8. 30) however the other block is still open so just a small walk away.

Barmouth is our favourite place in Wales and we try and visit every year if possible. We've stayed at Hendre Mynach many times in the past but not for a long while.
Positives - friendly welcome, nice large pitches (mainly flat), close to the beach and a flat easy walk into town.
Negatives - both toilet blocks dated and sadly this time we didn't find them particularly clean. Stupid cleaning times too - one block 8am-9. 30am, the other shortly after! Surely those times are the busiest of the whole day? Found that very strange. Long walk to get out of the site if you're right down the other end from the only exit?
However, we still had a wonderful time in our favourite place.
Can highly recommend going on the train (either way!) eating in the Indian Restaurant (Saffron) and walking across the newly refubished Barmouth bridge.

This is a very big campsite, it's close to the beach but there is only one gate/access point to the beach, right at the end of the site, away from Barmouth.
We were pitched at the opposite end on the top field, so it felt like quite a trek to get to the beach, let alone to walk into Barmouth. So you might want to look where your pitched.
The staff at this site were really friendly and helpful, plus there's an on site shop with all the basics plus beach toys.
There are 2 toilet and shower blocks with plenty of showers and toilets, both a bit dated, plus some not so good indoor washing up and a laundry room.
My two gripes would be that they clean one of the blocks 8am till 9am, the other from 9-10, but the early time is precisely the time when you probably want to use them, yes you can trek to the other block but it's not ideal.
The other was that our toilet block also had movement controlled lighting but it lasted seconds so I had to keep waving my hands when I went to the loo!
We loved the beach and we loved Barmouth. Would recommend the Mermaid fish and chip shop, and the Lobster Pot café.
The question we always ask ourselves is would we come again, and the answer is Yes but we would want to be nearer the beach gate.

Stayed at hendre mynach several times over the years and thought we would visit again after a little while staying elsewhere, it’s the closest sight to Barmouth around a 20 minute walk.
You walk through the site then cross the railroad the site has a varied mix of pitches but in bad weather it floods, we stayed on a all inclusive pitch and was water logged the morning after a downpour.
The site says it’s a 5 star site but in reality we would say it’s a 3 the toilet and shower blocks are clean but tired don’t think they’ve changed in years they have the dreaded push button showers.
The site has a small shop and playground so I’m sure they tick all the boxes to get a good rating it’s an ok site to stay but don’t rely on any tv reception or phone as it’s non existent we had a tv point on the bollard by us but was damaged and didn’t work.
We like Barmouth for the beaches and surrounding area and will visit here again in a year or two but hopefully by then the site may well have some sort of upgrade

Regular visitors to this beautiful site. Great for kids and families of any age group.
Staff are always welcoming and cheerful.
Couldn’t fault this site.
Easy walk to town. Even closer to the beach.
Site is flat with great pitches.
Special thanks to two of the team, Carl and Phil for their special efforts in helping us out when our locking system on our Motorhome decided to have a malfunction. They were brilliant. Great lads.
We strongly recommend this lovely site.
Will always come back here.

Having arrived the staff as always where fantastic from check in to being escorted to our pitch.
They are so friendly its briliant they stopped and chatted every time they went passed, thanks to everyone,
This was our 4th visit and we would love to come back.

Nice very clean and well looked after site,
Very friendly staff,
Within walking distance of Barmouth if you're average fitness.
The negatives for us were no hot water at the sinks in the toilet block, but scalding hot water in the shower, plus the very high cost per night.
In my view the shower blocks are in need of updating, they are tired all round.

Visit here regularly, bringing our grand daughters,
Beautiful site, close to town, easy walk, and less than 100 metres walk to beach, which is great for kids,
The team on site are very friendly and nothing too much trouble.
Can’t fault. Will be back next year
