Ok we used to be big on holidays abroad but now we are both 60 have calmed down a bit😅 and have purchased a motorhome as we now have Barney the cockerpoo who has taken over our life so now down to the site.
We had a fantastic view overlooking the beach and the sea the site is lovely were it is and if you have small children they would love the play park next time it and the beach. There are some great coastal walks as well.
The village itself has a train station going into Whitehavenan 2 pubs but we didn't visit plus ahotel/ bar thet is2 mins from the site plus cafe and ice cream parlor. All In all very quiet and peaceful if that's what you like.
We loved it even though we used to be party animals. 🤣🤣

As we were doing coast to coast. Arrived by train and short walk to campsite. Lady booking in very pleasant and helpful.
As we in small tent there is a separate area with water taps and ground well cut smooth grass. Should been idea.
Negative is as lot of fixed caravans dog owners using tent field bit of exercise area rather than tent area only.
Would be nice to have dogs pooing in area.

The caravan was superb just what we wanted, we had extremely hot weather
Which was an added bonus. My Son arrived as a surprise in his campervan,
He hasn't been back to St Bees since he was a boy, he will be coming again as it is a perfect sight for him and his wife to visit.

I think Seahaven is a beautiful site, the weather is always lovely for me, it is peaceful and tranquil, so lovely to be near the sea.
I have been on and off since 2010, as my Motorhome is in the Cumbria Holiday book, near St Bees.
I shall be returning soon Elaine Sutton

We enjoyed our stay at Seacote. The views from the seafront location were stunning. There is a gate which takes you straight out to the coastal path, perfect for walkers and dogs.
There were a few issues which took the shine off. We had some extremely anti social neighbours. They literally stayed awake all night drinking and shouting and snoozed in the afternoon to loud clubbing music. Everyone we spoke to were shocked that the campsite hadn't done anything.
The other issue was the 10a supply kept tripping. On our last night, it tripped just before staff finished for the night so it wasn't reset until the following morning. Unfortunately for us, our batteries had had enough by now and we had a freezing night due to having blown air gas heating.
The pitches are well organised and the site do everything they can to avoid interrupting anyone's view. I was also very happy with the facilities.
There is a dog friendly bar which serves food nearby and other pubs a short walk away. A cafe/ shop which also does takeaway is near as well.

Popular Choice in this Area
Fisherground Campsite - Eskdale
Nestling in the beautiful Eskdale Valley close to Scafell, England's highest mountain and Wastwater, this site is a children's paradise in the heart of the Lake District. The first thing that meets you on arrival is the pond, fed by a stream and usually full of children paddling and playing on tyre rafts. The playground has zip wires, climbing frames, tyre rope-swings and adventure courses.
Grass pitches (some with EHU) for tents, motorhomes, VW-sized campervans (no caravans). Refurbished toilets, showers and laundry. Peace is the watchword on the campsite - catering mainly for families and couples with silence after 10.30pm. Don't forget your marshmallows - campfires are allowed in selected areas. Nearby shop and pub. And there's an added extra: the site sits along the route of the Ravenglass and Eskdale Steam Railway line, with it's own station. Choo Choo! Find out more here

We were allocated a sea front pitch, adequate space (we were towing a small car) decent surface but could have done with cleaning of the vegetation growth (moss & grass) at the lower end.
Friendly & helpful reception staff, facilities dated but clean, ergonomics of chemical disposal could do with reviewing.
Other reviews moan about distance to facilities block but no more than many CCC sites.
Reasonably good value at £18pn

A beautiful setting with fabulous sea views at a good price. The beach, shoreline and walks in the area are excellent.
The only problem was with the amenity block. The whole facility, from the chemical disposal point to the both the male and female washrooms, is very dated and really could do with a revamp.
It was a shame that toilets not flushing and foul smells marred the whole experience.

Seacote Park was a great place to spend the weekend.
Lots of space to pitch up on good soft grass. Toilets and showers were clean and tidy and the site is close to the beach and other amenities.
We will return again soon. Would also recommend Hartley's Beach café for breakfast and Queen's Hotel for a good dinner.

Great location, hardstanding pitches are situated right on the foreshore with outstanding views with each pitch having water and electric.
20/25 minutes walk into the village of St Bees where there are pubs serving food, shop/Post office and railway station.
5 minutes from site is a shop/cafe selling most essentials and the Seacote Hotel serving great food and sports showing on TV and dogs most welcome.
Now the bad news!, amenities just about the worst we have come across in almost 30 years of camping, not enough toilets for the size of the site (two in each) and my wife refused to use the ladies, choosing to use the ones in the motorhome.
A real shame as this is a lovely place and £21 a night for a bank holiday weekend can't be bad but we would rather pay a little bit more for better facilities.
