 This is the most beautiful campsite within an hour's drive of London bar none.
Everything about it is absolutely perfect. It is small and friendly. It is not over commercialised. It even feels a bit old-fashioned. There are no rules and fences telling you what to do and where to go. It has the most beautiful views over the Chiltern valleys, of woods and fields stretching into the far distance. It is peaceful and quiet. There is a fantastic pub with great beer, good food and a landlord who loves his pub right next door. There is another pub, equally good, a bit fancier, also good beer, and exceptional food just 10 minutes' walk through a wood. There are endless wonderful walks in every direction from the site. Red kites, the most beautiful bird in the UK soaring and swooping overhead all day long. It has everything. And I have just heard it is closing. This is a tragedy. I hope whoever is buying the land keeps it open because the place is a treasure.

I overnight-ed here with the family, I am not sure if I saw any mention of showers. It is a nice little site with basic facilities perhaps a little dirty. There is a pub at the entrance to the site and a couple of nice walks around it. The Red Kites can be seen flying overhead throughout the day. The camping is on what appears to be a working farm so the owners are always wandering about and soon put a stop to people lighting fires and BBQs that were not aloud before it bothered anyone. Maybe not a site for a whole week, but nice enough for a weekend. I am not too sure that they would welcome huge tents such as diablo's etc. the biggest I saw was a Royal Pescara.

Just spent a very pleasant weekend here enjoying the Chilterns countryside. The bad news is that this campsite is closing down the weekend of 21/22 July 2007 due the owner selling up. Currently he doesn't know if the new owners will be keeping it as a campsite, but it's likely it will be closed for a while, which is a real shame. We had a nice meal next door at the Crown pub, very friendly locals.

This is my fourth visit to the site and those views never fail to impress! Unfortunately, the site owner informed me he is having to sell up and close the site and all units have to be off site by the 20th of July '07. This is a real shame as the site is lovely (though basic) and leaves a distinct lack of campsites in the area. The owner did mention he may open another site sometime in the future near the Brill area in Bucks. Here's hoping!

We stayed at Karma Farm over the Easter weekend, there was plenty of room despite it being a bank holiday. It is in a lovely spot, with views of the Chilterns and red kites flying overhead. There are numerous footpaths from the site. We didn't visit the pub around the corner, but did pop into the three horseshoes at Bennett End, which is down a footpath in the valley, its probably worth a trip for the lovely beer garden.
The site does have basic but decent facilities. The owner can come across as slightly abrupt on the phone, but is fine when you meet him. He was however talking about selling up, so watch this space.

Spent the Easter weekend here - lovely large tent field with views of the Chilterns and red kites flying overhead. The facilities are OK without being great, they might get a bit crowded on a busy weekend. Shower was nice and hot.
Didn't visit the pub next door but did go to the three horseshoes down the bottom of the hill - expensive but nice food. However, the pub is worth a visit on its own just for the beer garden. Steep walk back up, though!
The owner comes across as a bit gruff on the phone but is actually OK in person. Incidentally, he told us that he is thinking of selling up this summer due to problems with planning, hope it stays a campsite if it changes hands.

Well, I've done a lot of basic camping before, but I've always had hot water, except here. Very disappointed that there was no hot water but the view was excellent and it was a quiet yet family friendly site.
Portacabin for loos was functional, there was no facility for washing dishes, you just had to boil your own water.
If this had good washing facilities it would be a top recommendation, Good I 'spose if you have a caravan.

One of the nicest pitches we've had. Facilities somewhat basic, but more than made up for by the excellent views, peaceful setting & a great pub next door.

What a fantastic view over some of the chilterns. It was lovely to see red kytes flying all day long and early morning rabbits and munkjack deer running through the park. The pub next door was friendly and nice and the royal british legion opposite was warm and welcoming. The campsite was with basic facilities as previously mentioned and showers cost 50p. The ground has about 3 inches of soil then rock, chalk and flint, resulting in all my pegs bent and three different pitches in the park before I realized. We will defeninately be visiting this lovely area again

I camped at Karma Farm for two nights midweek, most weeks from September 2005 through to March 2006. I called it 'commuter camping' as I drove into London from Karma Farm most days. The idea was to see three seasons in a tent. I used a waypoint 1 and a Quasar when the weather became inclement.
It's a small campsite with excellent views across the hillside. The famed red kites can be frequently seen from dawn till dusk.
The facilities are basic with toilets and a shower, but they were kept clean even through winter. I found the owner both friendly and helpful and I enjoyed my stay there. Don't expect to be pampered.
There's a pub within five minutes walk but you won't be bothered by noise from it. For a meal out try the Mowchak Indian restaurant in Stokenchurch (10 mins drive).

After viewing and reading reviews about this campsite, I phoned to make a caravan reservation for myself, my wife and our 11 month old son. However, when I phoned, the man on the other end was not only unfriendly but also stated that they don't usually take babies as they make a lot of noise! If this is the view that this campsite has then I recommend that they specify this on their description/website and save people time & money.

A very quiet average sized site. An annex to the site office contains a shower, toilet, fridge & microwave, all free to use to residents. The outside toilet is a functional if a little dated & cold portacabin but for £7 a night for two what do you want?
Friendly owners who put us on to the 'Crown' pub next door were slightly off the mark I have to say when they said it is an average pub because we have never been made to feel more welcome by staff & regulars alike whilst being supplied with top class food an exellent bottle of red & superb Guiness.
A weekend of note marred only by damp conditions but this is England in September !

We found this Gem of a campsite in the Chiltern hills. The loveliest views with an uncut meadow section full of wildflowers. The owner was very laid back and pleasant, with plenty of information if we needed it. There was a pub just 2 minutes walk away, and for the more adventurous a ten minute walk down through the campsite to a really nice pub with great views. But what a climb back up! The toilet and shower were not really adequate for the amount of people on site, but the lovely relaxed atmosphere more than made up for that. And lots of Red Kytes.

Well, a field that you can watch the red kite overhead on a nice day. A toilet, well, more like a cupboard with a loo inside. No hot water for hand & face washing. A pub out on the main road with a garden for children to play in, but they're not that welcome inside on a cold damp evening. A shower, which you have to pay extra for, & I think somewhere to do your laundry
We paid £8 a night.
