Well what a site this is.

We arrived twenty minutes before the 12.30 check in time and instead of the usual frowns and comments you get at most sites we were greeted by the friendliest and the happiest lady that we have met on a camp site. We were told exactly how to find our allocated fully serviced pitch to such a degree that we didn't even need the map provided.

The instant impact that the sight has is a joy and it resembles an arboretum rather than a camp site. Our pitch was more than adequate in size and a huge plus was that the owners provide a hose, grey waste pipe and tv aerial without the need to unpack your own.

As others have said the toilet block is as good as you can possibly get and the showers have loads of space. The indoor swimming pools and saunas etc are well used and kept spotless. The local pub is well worth visiting and the beers and food is superb. One not though is that I heard that the owners are changing soon so it would be good to think that their standards are maintained. We caught the local bus into Oxford for a days shopping and spent another day at Blenheim Palace.

This is without doubt the best site that we have visited and we would recommend that you give it a try.

Just come back from 1 week at this site. Really nice spacious clean site with friendly helpful staff. I'm not so sure about the set up with the swimming pools, as there is only 2 x 90 minute sessions a day for open swimming which we found restricting. (other than that you could hire the pools to use but with only 3 of us this worked out an expensive option. This is the first campsite I've been to where the pool is not included in the price of the camping) Nice pub well within walking distance. My dog spent the entire week trying to get the chickens/rabbits although it's a nice touch for the kids.

Our second visit of the year, this time we went with family and had 2 pitches together, which were in their own little area which was perfect. It had been a very wet week but dry the day we arrived and the pitches were not overly wet so everywhere looked clean and tidy.

As always the shower blocks and swimming pools were kept immaculate.

We will be back again soon

We booked this site as it was a Best of British and, as usual, we were not disappointed. It is mostly for caravans (74 pitches I think) but there are about 16 pitches for tents, with what looked like a special area for groups in tents. Pitches were very generous - we've got a big tent (8x7.5m) and there was plenty of room. They've got drainage squares which makes it a bit uncomfortable on the feet in the tent (perhaps take slippers?) but does stop too much mud. It had been raining all morning when we arrived and there was some mud on the pitch but it wasn't too bad.

The owners and staff couldn't have been friendlier, or more helpful and always seemed to be on the go cleaning, tidying and emptying recycling and rubbish.

I would recommend that if you can request a tent pitch number that you go for 75-80 as these were the ones that got the morning sun. Most of the caravan pitches were fenced off with hedges or fences and seemed to offer a lot of privacy.

My little boy loved the play area and looking at the chickens and rabbits in their quite luxurious houses!

As per previous reviews, dawn chorus starts early, we also heard noise from nearby military airfields but that was infrequent and only in the day.

The local pub, Black Horse, was great. They had a band on the Saturday night we were there and all tables were reserved for the evening, but they happily let us use one for an afternoon drink.

Just down the road is the River Thames (I think the place is called Newbridge) with two pubs and lovely walks. Customer service in both pubs was appallingly bad and the food in the one over the bridge (rather than the Rose Revived where there were a lot of plates of food being left) seemed to be better. Lovely place to sit and have a drink and watch the world go by and you can also hire a little boat if you fancy a trip.

All in all, a great site which we will definitely be returning to.

This was our first full outing after upgrading from Tent to Tourer Van and we were full of trepidation. Shouldn't have worried. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by very friendly staff and shown to our pitch, we were helped in every way possible with best way to pitch, help with levelling (although site dead level)and anything else they could do with awning etc. This site will totally spoil you from any other site.It is absolutely immaculate and the toilet block is spot on 5 star. The leisure facilities are wonderful and we were able to privately hire by the hour the pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Very nice for couples. The children's play area was also superb and although lot of children on site, quiet very early. Fantastic pub 2 mins walk from site entrance with very good food indeed with last orders 9pm. Very good location to use for RIAT. Only 20 mins away from Park and RIde for Oxford which was excellent.

We are not experienced campers, this was only our second trip with our kids (6,4 & 3), but this site made our holiday.

On arrival the staff were very helpful and followed us over to our pitch to assist positioning our TT. There was a barrier between reception and the camping area which means all traffic has to slow down so the kids were safely evicted from the car after an 8hr journey to roam around and find the playground.

Pitches are gravel, so no muddy shoes trailing straight onto groundsheet, with a very spacious grassy area surrounding.EHU and Water closeby and toilet block not far from any pitch.

The toilet block itself was superior in design and cleanliness. Cubicles with washhand basins, a cloth adjacent to sink to clean up after yourself, I think most people did so as I never entered a cubicle that wasn't immaculate. In the main block there were 6 showers cubicles with washhand basin, a mop and bucket between two showers to clean up.

Dish washing area behind toilet block was also immaculate and adjacent to the animals, which thoroughly entertained the kids whilst I did the dishes. Also in this area was a microwave and a freezer, the laundry was also close by. Everything exceptionally clean.

The laundry is where I have one wee gripe. The washing machines are top-loaders and you really need to use a liquid detergent. My first load came out much as it went in, only slightly damper, but reception gave me another token to try agin and advised on liquid. Better, but not the best. £3.20/wash £1.50/dryer.

Play area was a major hit with kids, not huge, but more than adequate and safe.

The swimming pools are very good, and although I initially thought that hiring it soley for our use was a bit extravagant, I changed my mind as £15 for the 5 of us to get the place to ourselves was great. The hour is very tight though, as they like you out in time for a quick clean before the next party go in.

The shop was ok, internet use a touch expensive, but I have learned since that its a standard price.

The village is lovely, very picture postcard, worth the short walk through the village to the church. There is a post-office with general store which has everything the shop onsite doesnt have. The only pub open during our visit was The Black Horse, only had a drink one evening and didn't eat, so cant really comment.

Did eat at The Rose Revived at the bridge along the road a bit, nice pub, lovely location and had a kids playarea. Food was ok, I expected better though. Just along from the pub you can hire motor punts for a wee trip along the Thames. Very nice, £20/hr.

Advice from staff onsite was very accurate and helpful re getting into and around Oxford. Park and ride is the way.Just remember to get off the bus!

All in all we had a great week here, will def return. This is a fabulous site, the only draw back is that every other site from now will pale in comparison, we have been spoiled by the quality of this site!

We made a last minute booking as trialling our new awning to attach to our much loved VW Splitscreen.

Very nice site, we had a good pitch with plenty of space. The shower blocks were spotless, plenty of hot water and not busy.

Our 10yr old loved the games room, large field to play frisbee and the pool complex which cost extra was fabulous- choice of 2 indoor pools, sauna and hot tub. The water temp was perfect and everything clean. The weather was kind, but this would have been a god send in bad weather.

The local pub-The Black Horse had a varied menu and wasn't too expensive, 2 minutes walk from site.

Downsides- only 1, we had noisy neighbours but as we were only here 1 night we didn't mind too much.

This is a fabulous site. Six Dads, six 7-year olds, six tents, couldn't be better. The 'Tenters' section is a small leg of the site shielded by trees so you wouldn't know the rest was there, room for about 14 or so pitches, nice and big for the tents we took (Khyam Calgary 4 for me) and they have EHU if you want it.
Grass well kept and short, some pitches looked a little bare so maybe a footprint groundsheet would come in handy, my tent is so small I had no problem. The play area, which is terrific, is right next-door, for us with kids that was fantastic. I think you're encouraged to leave it by 9 to keep the noise down. (There wasn't any late-night noise of any sort above muted-chat levels.) There's also a huge field near the front of the site for soccer and other games.

Staff very friendly and helpful, facilities top-notch even to the extent of having fridges! Toilet and shower blocks were lovely and clean and warm, piped music too: Heart is now Toilet FM to us! We booked the swimming pool for a private 90 minute session and it is a real 5-star experience.

The village is charming, the two pubs by the river we passed on the way in look very nice but we've never got beyond the Black Horse outside the entrance, very welcoming, good food, good beer, and they're tolerant of kids running around the back garden.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this site, we've been there twice now and had a fab time on each occasion.

Only our second trip with the caravan and we've been spoiled already!

This place is incredibly friendly. We booked in at reception and directed to our pitch, before I had got there, the warden was already there to help us on to it!

The toilet facilities and showers were better than some hotels I haver stayed in, radio in the loo's too, felt like home!

A brisk walk to Hardwick Park revealed lakes and another camp site to explore.

The Black horse pub was nice and again, staff very welcoming and pleasant. Food was excellent although for 'pub Food' a tad on the expensive side.

Only down side for me was the pitch size for the pitch we were on, we did feel cramped by next doors car - other pitches looked bigger.

The 4:14 am Dawn Chorus was a joy to behold.

There were 9 of us in total (2 families)

One of the two swimming pools can be booked for a private session, we were unable to do this as it had been booked out for the weekend we were on the site (best to do when you book your pitch I think), but the lady on reception kept putting people for the open sessions into the other pool so we had the smaller pool / sauna / jacuzzi all to ourselves for the 'open Session'. Happy days, definitely will be back here.

Recently visited this superb site with superb facilities, well located for cotswolds area and Blenheim Palace. Had a Super pitch which really was great, the only BAD point was the Dog Walking facility which was really an afterthought and rather pathetic.

I would highly recommend this site but not for dog lovers!

Brill site 7 star if there is such a rating.

Pitches are well maintained.

Showers and toilets are much better than 4 star hotels very clean and modern.

Swimming pool is just like taking a bath hot water for a change not chilled .

I must say you get what you see on this site, one to try.

I have reviewed this site before.

Can't add much more to what everyone has already said.

It is about as good as you'll get anywhere.

Outside of the site is the Black Horse pub. Good food (although a little expensive for a pub!) & good beer!

The pub up the other end of the lane is currently closed until August as it has been taken over by a new Brewery.

2 miles away by the bridge is a further 2 pubs.

1. The Rose Revived is large & chearful. Good food the first time we went. The second visit resulted in a 2 hour wait for ordered food as they were short staffed. They had to stop taking orders at 9pm as they could not cope. Portions were a rather small on the second visit & we heard a number of people complain about the sizes & the wait. I'm sure they'll get it right.

2. The Maybush pub across the bridge has new management. Beautiful position, but the atmosphere was rather flat like the beer. Where others had eaten earlier, many of the plates were only half finished. We decided not to eat there.

There are plenty of walks surrounding Lincoln Farm.

A nice one, is down the lane to the side of the School by the Cross-roads.

The walk through the woods is like a scene from 'Lord of the Rings'

(Think of Frodo warning you to keep off the road!)

The village is surrounded by lakes, but are not easy to get to due to signs refering to 'Private Property'.

Loads of bird-life at Lincoln Farm . The 'Dawn Chorus' starts early at around 4.30am.

Everyone behaves here, & it gets quiet from 10pm onwards.

We will be going back again for sure!

We had a great week here. Although some of the pitches are a bit cramped, the facilities are first class, spotlessly maintained and modern.

However, the biggest plus point has to be the wardens - really lovely people from beginning to end, always helpful, polite, smiling - a real bonus to have wardens that enjoyed being with the public (Caravan Club please take note)

Absolutely brilliant campsite. As soon as we arrived at the site, we knew we'd have a great time as the Receptionists were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Toilets/showers immaculate and sparklingly clean, lots of hot water and never had to queue. Swimming pools are just amazing - definitely book for your own private use, it's fantastic!

Great for cycling - reception can give you directions to a good cycle route. Good day's out to Burford, Stow on the Wold, Witney, Oxford City Centre visit (use park & ride)

The only downside to our holiday was the Black Horse pub nearby. The manager was grumpy and not at all customer friendly. Food was good, but not the manager's attitude.

But we would definitely return to the campsite.

Good Points: Nice well maintained site, clean well fitted showers and toilets, excellent family room. Decent shop, didn't use pools but looked popular and heard they were very nice, Excellent kitchen area with fridge / freezer and microwave for campers.
Bad Points: very short dog walk, pitches quite cramped, two toilet blocks but we only had 2 showers / toilets for half of the site. Excellent play area but not so good if next door - very intrusive. Overall won't return but may suit some.
