We stayed at Lincoln Farm Park during a warm weekend in late July 2011. We had a pleasant welcome and were shown onto the pitch by a couple of chaps in a golf buggy and then they helped me unhitch and push my van into place.
Brilliant site! We thought there was a very relaxed ambience, helped by the site layout with many attractive trees and the layout of the manicured grass areas and pitches. Facilities were clean and first class, as we would expect from a Best of British site. We hired a couple of hour-long private sessions at the pool over the weekend and that was wonderful as we shared with friends.
We had a toddler with and the playground and swimming kept her happy. Sitting out having a beer in the evening, we noticed a few older kids doing a bit of chasing around after 10:00pm, soon we saw some site staff tracking them down to ensure that the peace and quiet was maintained.
The weekend shop was done at Sainsburys in Witney a few miles down the road.
The food at the pub near the entrance to the site was excellent although it was a bit pricey. The ‘Brixham caught’ cod and chips were as good as Rick Stein’s and a little dearer than Rick’s takeaway price at £10. 95 each.
In summary excellent site and facilities, we will surely revisit.

Stayed for a week in June 2010, fantastic visit!
After a long drive from southport the welcome we received on arrival to reception was friendly and very welcoming, booking in was fast and easy, we were offered wi fi on arrival which was an added bonus and not too expensive for the week.
We pitched in a quiet camping field on grass by the toilet facilities, the pitches were all on flat ground which was a bonus!
Toilet and shower facilities were spotless, washing up area was around the back of the toilet block there was also a fridge/freezer available for ice blocks.
Overall we had a great time here and would recommend to anyone!

Fantastic site- brilliant undercover area for the tent pitches with microwave, fridge, freezer and picnic tables.
Very friendly and helpful staff and wonderful toilets ! Pools add to the cost of the holiday but great for rainy days.
Nice walks and pubs in the immediate vicinity and a playfield for cricket/rounders etc.
The pitch sizes definitely vary but you have to book early to get a pitch so choice might be limited !

Initially was going to this site in a caravan but the towing car broke down before we went so we took the tent. The site were more than happy to accommodate our change and moved us to a better pitch because of it. The staff are really friendly and helpful.
We have been camping and caravanning for a while and been to many site but this one by far has been the best.
It has fantastic facilities and is a very clean and organised site. The toilet block was very clean the showers were large with your own sink, the washing up areas are big and there are fridges/freezers available for campers.
There are disposal points waste and water points all over the place. There is a pet area with chickens and rabbits which is a nice extra as well as the two indoor pools. The two dog walking areas are small walk ways but handy. The play area for the kids must be good as whilst we were there it was quite noisy!
Many of the pitches are separated by low walls or hedges so very private. The two local pubs are good and there is a nice walk to the thames which is about 30 mins away, again with more nice pubs.
All in all we loved the site and are already making plans to go back with some family and friends.

Very friendly welcome, and at first glance a lovely park. Pleasant surroundings and nice local area to walk around.
It was the most expensive we visited on our holiday and we expected this included the use of the pool, but that was extra and too pricey for us.
There is a good camp shop with all the bits and pieces you might need including fresh bread in the morning. The pitches are quite close together and we were near families with small children which was a little noisy - perhaps adult campers could be offered a separation if available Shower block, laundry and other facilities very well presented.
Once again a shower with only a 10 second push button and water not enough - this seems to very a regular feature. Understandably children need to be protected from hot water but there should be an alternative for adults. And 10 seconds ? A minute as a minimum please.
Nearby pubs for dinner - the one we tried was fairly expensive and the food was only average.

Hard to find fault with this site. One of the best we have visited so far. Toilet/shower block was spotless, warm and the local radio was on the loud speaker.
Didn't use the swimming pool, but it looked good and could be reserved for sole use if desired.
Nice walk through the local nature reserve to the river, took about an hour. We ate at the local pub twice. Food was excellent, menu a bit limited, but fish was good when available. Dog friendly.
Regular bus service from just outside the gate. We went into Oxford for the day and took the dog with us.

FAB FAB FAB is all I can say we really enjoyed this great site and would thoroughly recommend to all.
Pitches
Great size although it was fully booked the way the site is set out within the trees it feels very private, we had a super pitch which was worth every penny and we had lovely friendly neighbours too.
Site
All pea gravel walkways/roads making this an exceptionally clean mud free site even if the weather had been bad (which it wasn't) they have done everything to ensure good drainage and a mud free site very impressed. Very quiet in the evenings, pitch & putt, play field well away from caravans so no noise, great pool a must to hire it out for an hours private hire the pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room £18 for an hour - fab ! great well stocked shop located in reception and play area and small games room.
Staff
A1, we were shown to our pitches, all staff exceptionally informative, friendly and helpful 5* they deserve a pay rise !
Area
Lovely and quiet, post office and petrol station a few minutes walk, Burford a beautiful quaint if expensive village & we loved Witney also Cotswold wildlife Park 6 miles away ask at reception for days out info too
Was slightly more expensive than we normally pay but our stay was fantastic would definitely revisit the only thing I would say is they cater more for tourers as the tiny tent field was a small strip and very cramped and seemed extremely noisy but it didn't affect us, microwaves, washing lines, recycling, fridges & freezers all provided for guests very well equipped one of the best we have seen/visited. The toilets were heated with piped music and were immaculate warm with free hairdryers and lots of space couldn't fault it and never saw one dirty footprint mind you they do close for 2 hours for cleaning !

On arrival the greeting was very friendly and the site seems very well organised. The shop is well equipped but for fresh fruit and veg you need to go to the village store which is a 5 minute walk away. There are also plenty of pubs within walking distance but we did make it to any of them as we had the children with us.
One of the reasons we chose this site was because of the great reviews. We were not disappointed. We have not been to very many sites but this is definitely the cleanest we have been to in the UK. The toilet and shower blocks were almost a refuge, it was lovely in the chilly evenings to venture in to the immaculate blocks which had heating on and the radio piped into them. I took my time there!
There is also a family bathroom which contains a bath. You need to leave a deposit at reception for the key but it was worth doing for us.
The site has a great leisure centre which you have to pay extra for but it worked out not much more expensive for our party of 5 to hire one of the pools privately for an hour rather than join a public session there. Worth doing although the pool was slightly chilly for cold-blooded me.
We have 2 children, aged 3 and 4 and the playground was perfect for them. Very safe and well maintained. The children also loved saying goodnight and good morning to the small 'farm' of chickens and rabbits every day. A lovely feature of the site.
My favourite facility was the washing up area which as well as being clean contained a large fridge and freezer which everybody was welcome to use. We labelled our supplies of wine and bacon and had no problems. It was a great bonus.
The pitches seemed to vary slightly in size but we had a good one so were very happy and had plenty of space. One slight downside for us was the sandy type square of hard standing which I guess is where they would like you to pitch. It did make a few uncomfy bumps under the groundsheet.
We managed to find availability at this site for the week during the 2 big Easter bank holidays therefore it wasn't completely full. My mother and sister stayed on after we left when the site did fill up and said that it wasn't quite as pleasant when completely full. We will definitely return here but avoid very busy bank holidays. (which I think we would avoid at any campsite!)

Spent 3 nights at Lincoln Farm Park the week before the Easter b/h. This is our second visit and equally amazing as before. Staff helpful, site clean, facilities faultless and spotless. We were 2 adults and 2 children (6 & 5). The kids loved the play area, animals and the pool was a huge hit! We hired the small pool for an hour and it was great to have it all to ourselves.
Tent section of the site is so nice. Spacious pitches (we have Kyham Ontario 8 with side porch), normally struggle to fit - no probs here, even had room to put the car down the side of the tent and set up an eating area with wind-break. The campers kitchen is really helpful with fridge, microwave and washing up sink plus undercover seating area. There are more sinks and another fridge and freezer at the top end of the tent section. The area was quiet by 10pm (except snoring!).
Whilst there we travelled to Sudeley Castle (1 hour) which was great for adults and children and to Burford for a slap up meal. Didn't use the local pubs this time but we did go to the Black Horse last time and found it really nice.
We used the games field when family visited (taking us from 4 to 8 people) and also the pitch and putt. Shop was well stocked and the children enjoyed spending their 'holiday money'.
The pitch price per night is slightly more than some other sites we have been to but you get what you pay for with this place! Overall this is a fantastic site and you can see why it has won awards. Would definitely recommend and go back again (and again, and again,.)

We were initially extremely pleased with this site, tenters' area separate from the caravans, but among some very large trees. (Could do to cut a few down to let the sun in ) Microwave and fridge facilities excellent. Then arrived the gang - over 30 people in one group are bound to make noise just talking - and they did! Cleared the place of nearly everyone else by 10.30 next morning. At least two cars per pitch made it look like a car park. Large trailer tents with awnings etc overfilled the place.
Pity as the staff are really helpful, place is spotless, facilities are great.
Lovely walk to the Thames is just over 40 minutes, but two pubs in the village are less than 10 minutes walk away.
I needed to use the wifi, so had to pay for the whole of the stay not just the day needed. It is timed as well - can't check emails at bedtime or first thing in the morning.
Pools were lovely - booked a private session of an hour.
Liked the idea of ball games field so that it was safe from being hit if you were by your tent, also that children playing ball were also safe from cars.

Have now visited this site 3 times. Lovely friendly people, excellent facilities always clean and tidy. Quiet at night.
Has play area for children and gym for adults also 2 swimming pools indoors which can be hired for private use or are open for general use at other times, never used them myself but they are there.
Black Horse pub in walking distance serves good food at reasonable prices and the folk there are very welcoming too.
Cannot recommend this site highly enough, will be back there again soon I hope.
I don't have children to take away now so cannot comment on the child friendliness of the site more than already commented, but I am sure the staff and facilities are as child friendly as they are adult friendly.

Just back from our first visit. Excellent facilities but we didn't really use as pretty self-sufficient. Loos/showers looked very good, clean and warm when I checked them out. Good information centre. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Pools and gym looked interesting. Site nicely laid out. Digital TV on a status aerial and mobile reception good (including internet coverage). Good country walks in area. Tried both pubs in village. The Black Horse (just outside park entrance) was excellent and more than just 'pub grub'. The fillet steak was one of the best I have ever had in this country. A few minutes walk up to the village to shop/post office and The Bell Inn. Nicely done up. Welcoming Aussie owners. Food very good but I think I preferred The Black Horse. Would definitely re-visit.

Another great visit to Lincoln Farm Park. The service was fantastic as ever, we even had a phone call the day before we were due to arrive to tell us about a road closure and to suggest an alternative route. How fantastic is that!
Only one tiny, tiny moan, the water in the showers was a bit too hot for my liking, but my wife loved it. The site has a shop selling basic groceries, a gym and 2 swimming pools that can be hired out. As well as a games field, putting green, children's play area and a small games room. Being the beginning of the season only one of the two shower blocks was open, the other block serves the tent area, but it was too wet to use that area anyway.
We had a meal in the Black Horse pub next to the site and it was lovely. Paid a visit to the Bell Inn for a swift pint and were very impressed by the warm welcome. Didn't have chance for a meal there but will try it next time.
Witney is a nice little town to visit and Oxford will take you a couple of days to explore as well. You must visit Blenheim Palace, it's easy to spend a whole day there.
There isn't an awful lot to do in the area if you have young kids. I'd say that this is a site that caters for the family who want a quiet break away from it all, especially as there is little or no mobile signal on the site.
Great site, great staff and great facilities.

This is the only site we have ever revisited. Its also without doubt the best site we have ever stayed on in the UK. Pitches are level and well drained, the facilities spotlessly clean and warm.
The site has an overall air of cleanliness and the staff are most helpful efficient and accomodating. The leisure facilities are top-notch and the shop well stocked. Security is excellent and the site is well lit at night.
Its an excellent base for Oxford, Didcot, Blenheim Palace etc. The Ashmolean Museum is worth setting a whole day aside for, use the park and ride. I found it more cost effective to drop the family in Oxford, they can get a coffee while I went back to park and ride.
I was back with the family within 30 minutes! Reverse in the evening meant we saved about £10 a day.

This is the best site we have visited this year.
Used voucher from The Mirror £1 a night camping offer - but with add ons such as dogs - worked out to £40.00 for 3 nights.
Lovely shower/toilet block, heated with music playing. Good shop & information shed. Lots of washing up points close by - no excuses!
Dog walking area - very small, compared to size of playing field which dogs are'nt allowed on.
Bus stop outside took us to whitney and oxford for days out - no problems allowing dogs on the bus.
Pubs to left and right of site. The black horse does not let dogs in (although they have one themselves. The Bell - allows dogs inside.
Very enjoyable and relaxing break - recommend!
