A brilliant, large campsite. We only stayed one night as a means to stopping nearer to catch our ferry the next day. Wish we'd stayed longer.
The campsite has great facilities. The very welcoming lady when booking in let us pitch up wherever we wanted to on the touring field. We visited the clubhouse on camp and enjoyed watching the Olympics with a drink.
A very reasonably priced site with electric, very good value for money. Because we only stayed one night we didn't get the chance to explore the area.

Booked this site for a single night and arrived about 1pm. We were directed to a lovely large field and hooked up quickly.
Clean shower block close by and even an ice cream van visiting in the afternoon.
Used the bar in the evening to watch a football match in a very friendly environment.
We did not experience trouble with the train noise - yes we could hear it but it was not disruptive.
We were aware of trains when awake but not while we slept.

What a lovely large site, friendly owners, clean spacious, little cafe and club house on site, there is a railway line close by but seriously you don't really hear it. Lovely farm shop in walking distance sells home made pastries, close to nice pub with food, great fish n chips nearby.
Just had another toilet shower block built.
Could do with another nearer chemical disposable area and washing up facility and perhaps a small play area but overall nice. Definitely recommend, Will go again. Loved it.

We stayed here for 3 nights just before Easter, lovely site plenty of space and choice of where to pitch. Just had a new shower and toilet block put in. Wardens very friendly, even though there were a lot of children about you hardly heard them. Some people have said about the trains going past but you don't notice them after a while. Would stay at this site again. Had a coffee in the cafe on site very reasonable price. Dog friendly. Not rushed to vacate pitch, very close to towns and places to visit. Only disappointment was Chichester market - was expecting quite a large one but was very small. Only 1 criticism, that there were no dog bins to put doings in, so had to put in the big bins, otherwise a great site.

We stayed on this site for a week during the glorious sunny weather of late March 2012.
It was our first excursion in our first caravan and so we were looking for a stress-free week in which to experience the joys (and pitfalls) of caravanning.
For most of the week the site was quiet, with just a few tourers in the one field and the long-term caravan residents in the other. On the weekend the site busied up as the West Sussex Caravan Club arrived for a meet.
Overall, this is a very good site; cheap to stay at with no complicated price structures, and friendly and trusting owners (who let us settle up payment the day after we arrived and set up). It is also handy for all the main beaches and attractions along the South Coast.
The showers, toilets and washing-up facilities are to a good standards (although I don't see why they don't just subsume the 20p shower price into their overall charges given that you can have access to unlimited hot water for washing up!). That said, a new shower and toilet block was just about to be commissioned during our stay.
The railway line runs adjacent to the site and hosts frequent electric train services to London, Brighton, Portsmouth and Southampton. However, if you camp away from the fence it is not really that intrusive. My wife is a light sleeper and she had no particular problems with it.
Therefore, we were very pleased with our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in the West Sussex/East Hampshire area.

Just got back from a weeks visit. Well first the good points, its very local to the beaches and towns so the kids loved that they also loved the large field we were in(only had a homemade swing in a tree) but we made are own fun so great.
But and I mean but once we had put our tent up there was a roar from the trains going by which we hadnt been told about, so I asked and was told they stop at 10pm, they didn't it was 00. 30 and started around 4am again.
If you visit this site pitch up on the right of the field and you should be ok. Have to say again my kids loved this camping trip

This campsite was large and well used.
We had issues with the train noise as were unaware prior to a late evening arrival. The train line worked all the time except 12am-5am. When large trains pass it was deafening!
The showers worked for most of the time, but were a little basic. If there were hooks for the clothes, and space to stand other than the shower itself. Somewhere dry to hang clothes is I feel an essential rather than optional. There were few showers for the size of the site!
But it was cheap and well located for local facilities.
Ps The ground is very, very hard!

We stayed for 2 weeks and wished we'd booked the caravan club one next door. Pitches for tents and tourers were mixed and very random and too close, hook-ups had cables trailing everywhere, several cables plugged into one unit using extension cables, some units failed on regular basis: Showers were dirty and with no locks or hooks on doors, even though we asked for repair, sinks were loose and taps didn't work: many caravans were permanent and many seemed to be lived in; some giant motor-homes regularly emptied toilet waste with no chemicals so the smell was unbelievable for some time afterwards: every Friday camping field turned into car boot sale: ANY type of vehicle was allowed on site - commercial, pick-ups, 3-ton trucks, you name it, no rules or regulations regarding noise. Good point was location

We stayed here after being refused at another campsite for being a large group. The group comprised 4 families (including pensioners and young children). This site is fabulous for a weekend and I would almost certainly stay here for longer.
The facilities are adequate although the washing up room is a bit small. There was a great bar and a small cafe. The staff are lovely, friendly and welcomed us ( even though we were a large group ).
There was a lot of space for the children to play, and although the group next to us were noisy, most of the noise stopped around midnight. The site is in a great location and only about 30 mins to West Wittering beach.
It is a good site on which to base yourself as there are some nice things to do in the area. Bosham is pretty and Chichester is nice too.
I would absolutely recommend this site if you don't mind basic facilities as the staff and their attitude and friendliness more than make up for it.

This is the 3rd year running we have been to this site, for the Goodwood Festival of Speed weekend. We are a group of 6 tents, As we had been before we booked well in advance and asked for a reservation of an area that we wanted to pitch. We were told that this would be ok. On arrival, no pitch was reserved. So we had to pitch in the middle of the field. The toilet and showers are wholly inadequate especially on this busy weekend. The owners are too laid back, and the toilets were very wet and dirty. Could of done with being cleaned more frequently especially as the site was busy. It was very noisy on the camp, I could still here people at 2am and then a large group of workers some 20 of them in one tent were up at 5am getting ready to work. We will not be going to this site again. Needs more organisation.
