Despite the bank holiday weekend, fields were kept spacious and you could pick your own pitch. Ground VERY hard and stony! as said before bring suitable pegs. Excellent prices considering the area and facilities, however very disappointed with only 1 sink for washing up. Don't recommend Traveller's Joy pub nearby, but Chinese 10 min walk away (in opposite direction) was fantastic. Farm shop in the post office (10 min drive away) was amazing.try the beef and Beamish pie and homemade cakes. Open 6am till 9pm everyday too, even on Sundays! We also pitched near the train tracks, but train noise was fine.the large groups next to us disturbed us more! Would definitely go back. Pros out way the cons for sure.

Just returned from a pleasant couple of days here unfortunately we had to cut it short due to bad weather. The site is lovely and welcoming, toilet and shower block clean and tidy, the best we've seen at camp sites so far. Slight problem with the owner of some horses that back onto the camp site ,there were no notices to say keep away and of course children love to see horses but the owner would come out and bellow at them to get away,it caused a few arguments with parents so be warned steer clear of the horses. Nice cafe on site with a shop selling the basics incorporated in it.
Only gripe there is no lights on the camping field so very very dark at night and a few litter bins here and there wouldn't go amiss.
A train track is very close by but causes very little disturbance. Cant wait for the weather to get better as this is a site we will definitely visit again.

We really liked this site. Having just bought a tent and equipment, it was our first "real" outing. We picked a bank holiday weekend, which meant that the site was busier than usual. However, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We pitched in a large field which has space for around 30-40 tents. The rest of the site is given over to more permanent-looking caravans and a few more tents. Hookups are available.

The (pay-for) showers were adequate: some did not work properly, and I believe the ladies had to queue to use theirs. I did not have to queue at all for the gents showers. There is a washing room which has 2 machines, and also a sink which can be used for washing up. There is fresh water available by the tents.
There is a small shop on site, but only a few essential items for sale; you are much better off walking to the local Co-op (5 mins walk) which is open 7 days a week. There is also an excellent farm shop within 5 minutes walk.

The beach is about 10 minutes away. Not a sandy, swimming kind of beach, because you are in an estuary - it's mud and stones and seaweed, but mainly deserted and if you have kids they'll love catching crabs from under the rocks. For a day out, its about 10 minutes to Bosham, which is a very picturesque sailing village. And about 20 minutes to West Wittering, which has nice sandy beaches.

In summary, we'll be coming back to this site, preferably on a less-busy weekend.

The pitches are a good size, although do make sure you take some stony ground/storm pegs as the ground is tough. The pitches are not really marked out but do seem to be designated small Apple Trees at regular intervals. There is a field too one side with horses.

There is a railway that runs along side the field, which was rather a surprise, now this depends on where you are pitched but we were down at the bottom field of the campsite and it was rather noisy, but the noise does fade away into the background after a few hours.

The toilet blocks had 3 toilets, 3 showers and 3 hand basins which were clean and useable. Also there was a small washing up area with a laundry facility.

There is a café on site which we didn’t use so can’t comment and there appeared to be a games room.

We only stayed 2 nights but on Saturday 2 of the units(there appeared to be some long term units) were having a party next to the toilet/shower block and we could hear the noise/music from our tent and this was still going at 10.30pm to 11.00pm, but that was just one night so maybe it was a one off

This site was brilliant.

It was lovely and quiet and had lots of things near it to do.

It was lovely and clean with good toilet and shower blocks.

It is run by lovely people who really care that you are happy and that you have everything you want and need.

We will be going back there this may for a weeks holiday and again in the summer.

Great prices... for a great and peaceful site.

Would recommend to anyone.
